I have been searching for a dental office that is dedicated to true patient care ever since my…read moredentist retired. I saw Dr. Russell recommended several times on a neighborhood app. From the front desk staff, to the dental assistant to the dental hygienist, everyone was amazing. They were kind, welcoming, patient & great at communicating their care throughout the process. They were concerned with my comfort and focused on limiting my pain. I was initially disappointed that Dr. Russell was not the dentist I was seeing but Dr. Reynolds was simply wonderful. He explained my treatment plan and how they collaborated with specialists to design my care plan. He even broke down how to best target brushing and flossing to optimize the best results. He was even abreast of how inflammation and chronic conditions affect dental health and showed genuine concern with my care. He did not rush out of the room and he made sure all of my questions were answered. I highly recommend this office.

They do outstanding dental hygiene cleanings, and cavity fillings. They'll tailor care to your needs. It's a tidy office with neat and spacious rooms. Overall I've enjoyed my visits here. I tell a close friend of mine that Winston-Salem has the greatest dentists around, and Dr. Russell definitely is one of the best.

I cannot in good conscience recommend anyone receive treatment here…read more My experience was not a pleasant one and because of that, I will not return to this office. The experience left me feeling absolutely humiliated and emotionally victimized (though I am sure that wasn't their intent). Of course, they don't tell you the fees beforehand (aside from the price of the examination). So, I had a very limited budget, but I thought I would be fine because I knew they offered in-house plans. To make matters worse, the appointment was the day of my birthday. After doing the exam and x-rays and explaining what needed to be done, they then brought someone in to explain the pricing and whatnot...when I realized I couldn't afford it, even their in-house plan was over $460 just to get a broken tooth filled...They wouldn't do anything. I spent the next 10-15 mins in that chair trying to get anyone I knew on my phone to help me...and when I couldn't, I asked if they could do monthly payments..."No". No compassion, no empathy...just a cold "no". As I was checking out and paid the $160 for the "emergency exam and x-rays", I had to put my sunglasses on because I was starting to cry. I've never experienced an office that was so cold and so lacking in compassion and empathy. I still have a hole in my damn tooth that needs to be filled... They even had the audacity to call me the other day to ask if I wanted to come back...Really? After the way I was treated? Hard pass! There is nothing compassionate about this place. All they care about is profit. I understand professionals need to be paid, but have some caring empathy for those who do not have insurance! I work 62 hours a week, pay my bills. I work hard. I'm far from lazy...I could have paid half of the $460ish but they wouldn't work with me on anything. Fortunately, I have an appointment scheduled with a dental school in Charlotte in a few weeks and THEY do accept monthly payments. So, that's my story.

Dentists giggled all the way through the procedure, had a panaflex x-ray done in spite of the fact…read morethat she already had x-rays from previous dds not even a year old and those of the periodontist. Then she said she couldn't tell from the panaflex if she might have to extract the tooth. She didn't, instead she chipped the tooth which led to a crown. The temporary crown she left to a helper who spent 15 minutes trying to pry if off as if it was a screw. Then she called the dds, who immediately popped it out. Then the crown wasn't sized correctly, so I had to go through the same ordeal with the car mechanic turned assistant for another 15 minutes before the dds again was called in to pop it out. Loves, loves x-rays better than baseball cards. Avoid this imo very inexperienced dds. I was lured in by the reviews, and felt it was a total sham.

This is the best dentistry office I've ever had. They have every amenity you could imagine,…read moreeveryone is friendly and my teeth have never been healthier. I made an appointment after a friend referred me. I complained of tooth pain, thinking it was a cavity. My 1st appointment was only $45, for xray and exam. When I arrived, there was a little confusion as how to pronounce my name, but that got corrected quickly and I was taken on a tour of the building and I immediately felt valued and I decided right then and there this was going to be my new dentist's office. Now, there are a handful of practitioners here. 1 DDS and the rest seem to be DMDs, but after a bit of research, I found that there is no difference in training; unlike the difference between a MD and PA. So, we came up with a dental plan and I felt satisfied with that first visit. I was even gifted a little welcome bag that had a branded figit spinner in it. I thought it was going to be a lame toothbrush or floss. My next visit was my cleaning. Full disclosure: I had not had a proper teeth cleaning in over a decade. While I was ashamed of this fact, no one passed judgement and I'm 100% sure they'd seen worse. They offer movies, Netflix, music, adult fluoride (my favorite part because many dentists don't offer it after a certain age. Bubble gum is still my favorite flavor), laughing gas (if you need it). And after my cleaning I got ANOTHER gift bag, this time with a toothbrush, paste, floss and a sticker. In another fun and cool surprise, I received a handwritten note in the mail about 2 weeks later--a friend became a patient of Reynolda Smiles after I referred her and the office sent TWO $50 gift cards for Reynolda Smiles. One for me and one for another person I'd like to refer. So unexpected and generous. Here's to happy, healthy and clean chompers!

The staff is super-super friendly, warm, and professional. The receptionist was very accommodating, the X-ray tech was friendly and meticulous, and the hygienist was likewise thorough and sociable. The equipment seems like the latest technology. As Christina D. mentions, the dental chairs have massaging backs (a pleasant surprise). Dr. Keider also used a laser imaging tool on my molars to see if there were any crevices that could harbor bacteria out of sight. They offer bottled water and sodas in the waiting area, and have a whole little refreshment section. The goodie bag was chock full, too, which, though unnecessary, is much appreciated by a tooth-obsessive like me. Toothbrush, toothpaste, Listerine, dental floss, dental picks - it's like a miniature drugstore! But the best things I can say are about Dr. Keider himself. His exam was very thorough. He checked my TMJ, lymph nodes, thyroid, and tongue in addition to my teeth. He told me exactly what he was doing during the examination, and genuinely and thoroughly answered all my questions. As Christine mentioned, no one tried to sell me anything; he basically said that my teeth look great and there wasn't anything he'd want to do to them. (They didn't even try to get me to do teeth whitening, which I know they offer, and which is practically requisite in dental practices. I appreciated that.) The only little picky complaints I'd have, aside from the booking error, would be that having Fox "News" playing in the waiting area was a real turnoff and that the hours of operation are pretty limited. (However, he's there at 7:30 am on Monday and Wednesday, so it's easy to get an appointment outside normal business hours.) I'd highly, HIGHLY recommend this office.

Dr Keider took X-rays, examined all my teeth and came up with two plans, the most affordable and the one that was as expensive as my car. It all came down to needing five root canals in additions to the missing smile teeth. I had to go with the least expensive options with possibility of implants in the future. Even though I chose the least expensive option, I was treated no differently. I explained my cPTSD and every effort was made to accommodate me. Apparently, everything is easy with nitrous oxide (great stuff!) It's taken a few months, extractions, fillings and a gentle cleaning but I am smiling again. I have two partials but my husband can't tell the 'new' teeth from my own -they are perfectly matched! It's a great comfort knowing that I can strike dental fear out of my life. I enthusiastically recommend Dr Keider and his staff to anyone regardless of what you need, this is a guy you have no regrets trusting.
