This place is the most inconsistent place ever. We've been 4 times in the last few months. The first time was great. Good amount of toppings, lots of sauce, crispy pepperonis. That was the only time - every time after we have just wished it was like the first time. 2nd time it was SO overloaded with a super thick stringy layer of cheese, the crust was soggy. So the 3rd time we asked for light cheese on half to see if it improved. It was laughable, we got seriously almost no cheese on the whole pizza, to where parts were just dried out bread. The 4th time was tonight and it was the thickest the toppings have ever been, this time there seemed to be a cheese layer, then a pepperoni layer, then another cheese layer. Seems like no sauce almost. Almost all the pepperoni was covered in a second layer of thick cheese so none of them got crispy, and the soggy nasty chewy crust underneath just separates from the thick layer of toppings (see pic). I have been to the first Spankys on Telephone Road, so I already knew this location was going to be amazing!! I have been to this location multiple times, but today we ordered the side salad with ranch and the personal margarita pizza! The salad was huge and full of fresh lettuce and veggies!!! The pizza was phenomenal as always!!! I always want to try something new, but it's so good, I have to get it!!! It is served piping hot and the pesto melted together with the cheese is just unreal!!! My friend was craving some pizza so I was like what the heck legooooo & decided to come here. This place is pretty new and very spacious. Our server was Roberto, he was amazing & accommodating. I decided to get the medium size sausage & pepperoni pizza and some wings as well. The pizza was okay, to be honest it just tasted like something you'll get at little caesars. It was also a little doughy & needed to be baked a little longer. The wings were good, they were huge, the sauce was a bit generic but it was still decent. I'll just say that I enjoyed the wings more than the pizza, it was also a bit disappointing having an undercooked pizza. Why a 4 star? Roberto. Today, I decided not to cook, so I decided to order dinner. The spaghetti and meatballs were not very tasty. The noodles were watery and the sauce was sparse. In the past the meals were very tasty, but today I am very disappointed with my meal. The bread stick were browned more than they should have been. I'm not sure I'll be coming back. This place is SO inconsistent. I love their thick crust sausage only pizza when they choose to make it right. Large pieces of delicious sausage. But too many times I've been served pizza with just a few mini-modules of sausage on what is basically a cheese only pizza. It's not worth the drive to play "guess what pizza we decide to make tonight" Side note. One of my friends used to work at a Pizza Hut when I was in my teens and he told me every pizza that was returned, no matter who was at fault, was replaced by a pizza with spit on it so there's no way I'm going to complain and get a second pizza. read more

TLDR this place is ok. I ordered delivery so maybe that was my mistake from the beginning... on arrival the pizza and tots look very greasy. Another mistake I made was getting individual pizzas. I didn't realize the individual would have such a thin crust (not a huge fan of the thin crusts). The pepperoni was ok, the garlic in the margarita was nice at least. The tots were a bit mushy and stuffed with bacon. The pizza was ok. I think the place has some deals during the week where a large pizza is actually pretty cheap. Tried this location which appears newer and the dishes we got here were really tasty. Ordered the shrimp alfredo and a thin crust pizza along with the Philly sub. Love the crinkle fries and the alfredo was to my liking not salty over overly seasoned! The Philly was decent and the pizza is probably our favorite pizza making this our go to joint for pizza!! I want to mention that this is our second time and first time at another location and both have delivered food made fresh to order. Spanky's pan pizza gives me all the feels and childhood nostalgia of eating once delicious Pizza Hut (which now in my opinion has gone down significantly in quality). Apart from the pan pizza, get the fried pickles, they're so good! I deduct 1 star for service. First timer... nice location with patio seating, plenty of parking and seating area. We were a party of six adults and two kids.. table was very spacious and accommodating to our little ones. Our server was very attentive and friendly, never left us waiting for drinks. The food was delicious!! The food on the other hand, well...I have to say that it was really not my cup of tea. I purchased the pepperoni pizza, Toscana pizza, fried mushrooms, and wings with sauce on the side. The pepperoni pizza... the cheese was just too over cooked... it was crispy and had no stretch whatsoever. I did not like the taste of the new york style crust...did not taste great at all. Basically, the pizza was not good. The toscana pizza, thin crust, was much better--had a delicious favor. The fried mushrooms were okay... some were not as tender-- kind of chewier. First time at this Spanky's. We walked in didn't know if we could sit outside. We were looking out from inside to see if there was anyone sitting outside, when one of the servers noticed and told us we were able to sit outside. Within a few minutes we regretted it, they basically forgot about us after taking our appetizer order . A good 15 minutes later, someone came in to take our order for the entree. I ordered a Garlic and spinach pizza and I added chicken. The first thing I noticed when I picked up the pizza slice, was that the cheese was sliding off the bread so it got kind of messy to be able to hold my pizza slices like a pizza slide should be held . Gosh I was so excited for another Spanky's location to open! I decided to order via Ubereats just cause this location had the shorter wait time and smaller delivery fee at the time. I ordered the Super Duper in a deep dish and the Margherita with the normal NY style crust. It was ready and delivered right on schedule. The Margherita had all the garlicky pesto toppings that I liked. It was a good pizza, though the crust was slightly bland. The Super Duper was way undercooked, the dough was soggy underneath. And what kind of deep dish is this?! It looked exactly like the NY style pie. Bf hated it and it's definitely not truly a deep dish pie. It was better heated up again in the airfryer the next day. Spankys came through with the amazing service and tasty food. My school drama club partnered with them for our fundraiser and it went perfect. It was simple for us to sign up and the day of the event we were well supported. Spankys made the flier for us and all we had to do was get our people to attend. Our server (Alex) was brand new and he worked so hard to make sure we were taken care of! Thanks Alex!! Also, I didn't catch her name but I believe she is the manager (she has dreadlocks), she is AMAZING! Every time I go to this location I am treated well. Pizza was good but my only complaint was the ham is diced instead of sliced (like Canadian bacon) so next time I will try another topping. Margaritas were tasty & the fried mushrooms were good. I was super excited when they opened one closer to me. This Spanky's is way more updated than the original. I not the hugest fan of their pizza, everything seems to slide off after the first bite. Their wings are tasty and their tater kegs are a Texan thing to order. Tater tots filled dressed with chili and cheese with pickled jalapeños-- yum! Their pasta portions are huge, share with a friend if you'd like. Nothing spectacular about their pasta though.
