Other people strolled in and sat in bar area (ignoring the prominent "Please Wait To Be Seated" sign). Complained to host and he refused to do anything. Tried to get a couple of beers from the bar and had to stand there waiting while bartender chit chatted with a patron. Finally got drinks and one was wrong. This is the second time I have been here. I make it a point to visit them for lunch or dinner when I am in MB. This is a local hang out. The fact that that this is a favorite for locals should be enough to tell you it is worth visiting. Small local pub that has good food, service, drinks and relaxed atmosphere. This pub house is a little off the beaten path, but so worth finding. The interior is small. There's seating for around 24 at tables as well as seating at the bar. They also have patio seating for when weather permits--which, let's face it--is the majority of the year in Myrtle Beach. It is, however, plenty roomy enough to feel comfortable and allow ease of access to every part of the pub. They offer a few things that your average pub doesn't, like several egg roll renditions, customizable burgers with loads of toppings, and pudding dessert shots. We've never ordered alcohol here, but during our two visits, it's obvious their spirits are popular. They have a wide range of beer and liquors. The service has always been great. They strike a perfect balance between not-over friendly but still taking filling up our teas every time they got less than half full. Sometimes football bars can get obnoxious with fans, but the fans that seem to frequent this place are friendly. We had the pleasure of arriving at the end of a particularly riveting game last night, and the fans were a pleasure to be around. So, in short. Go there for food. Go there for football. This place was the closest bar to our hotel. We stopped here for lunch before heading out for the afternoon. We ordered our meals which were pretty good. We ordered fried pickles which are actual spears and not the normal chip type. They came out piping hot. The waitress mentioned they were hot but even after waiting a few minutes I still burned the roof of my mouth pretty bad. They may want to take them of the fryer and let them rest a few minutes before serving them. The reuben egg rolls were delicious. I had a salad that was very good. There is a nice outdoor seating area but it was way too hot that day to sit out there. Not a bad place and the prices are way better than the hotel bar. read more

Excellent food! Would definitely go here again. My husband and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary in Myrtle Beach. We stayed at the Kingston Plantation condos which is right next to Spanky's. After checking in to our place, we were starving and figured we would give this place a try. There is a sign out front that says something like "This isn't fast food, it's fresh food made to order". Their food definitely held true to this. The inside of the restaurant is very small. Only 5-6 high tops & about 8-10 seats at the bar. I think there were 5TVs inside. Definitely a place to watch all the football games on DirecTV. They also have outside seating but no TVs out there. We ordered some apps- the pretzel was the freshest ever, fried pickles were just okay & super salty, the spinach dip was good and their famous egg rolls were delicious! I had the mac n cheese stuffed egg roll and my husband had the reuben and the buffalo shrimp (his fave). It took about 30 minutes to get our food but it was worth it! I wish I could give 0 stars. We were yelled at for waiting for a couple of friends to show up and when we were seated the waitress was rude. She was rude the whole time. She was also treating the other guests well but not us. When it was time to order they were out of most of their sides and a few dishes. The waitress kept getting our order wrong and also wouldn't repeat the order. We had to keep correcting her. What kind of pub doesn't have fries?! I ordered the wings and they were smaller than Zaxbys wings (super small). A friend of mine got a shrimp Caesar salad and it came with no shrimp. My group ordered a few sides of Mac and cheese because the waitress specifically said they had Mac and cheese and we were half way through our meal when we were told they were out of it. We ordered sliders with ketchup mustard and pickles and when we got it, there was no ketchup mustard or pickles. We also waited about an hour just for our food to come out. This place has mediocre food and bad service. Highly do not recommend. I'm usually patient and understanding but this was unacceptable. read more

Smallest chicken wings I have even been served. Several of the wings also had broken bones. Service was slow and with an attitude. Our party had about 12 of us over 2 tables that were next to each other. Our checks were brought out by table (not by our choice) and were a total mess because 2 people switched tables after drinks were ordered. Just happened to come across this place while visiting Myrtle Beach and so glad we did! Walked in and was immediately greeted by bartender Lynne, who turned out to be an awesome person! The place is very small, with a bar and a few tables set up in the same area. It's a little off the beaten path of highway 17 which made it seem like perhaps a neighborhood pub. Nothing fancy, and sits between a pizza place and an ice cream place. I also heard they have love music and karaoke certain nights also. We ended up siting at the bar. Menu is pub fare with a little twist. We ordered a few things to share, and everything was awesome. The Bacon Mac n' Cheese Egg Rolls are to die for, and served with a side of Sriracha-Ranch dipping sauce. They had other "egg rolls on the menu that sounded amazing too like Chicken Cordon Bleu, Pulled Pork, and Pepperoni & Cheese...etc. we also shared a Philly Cheese Steak which peppers, onions, mushrooms and cheese on a bakery fresh hoagie roll. The beef was thinly shaved and melt in your mouth goodness! Well the night would not have been complete with a couple homemade pudding shots: Slippery Nipple and Banana Cream - all I can say is WOW! We travel to Myrtle Beach every year and this is one place I'll make a point to go back to. Loved the bartender Lynne - she was fun and friendly and a great bartender!
