We stopped here for a quick bite and to be honest it was the best damn food we had all week. The Chicago dog was spot on which I chose to pair with the caesar salad. The egg rolls (Mac & Cheese, Pepperoni & Cheesecake) were all amazing - get the raspberry sauce!!! Turkey melt was a knockout - the dressing on this was so good! This place was right off the complex I stayed at while visiting Myrtle Beach. We decided to have dinner here since it was raining/storm warnings and we didn't want to go far. From the outside you can see a surplus of outdoor seating, but the inside is different. A bar and about 5-7 tables for guests. As we walked in we were greeted and told we can sit wherever. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and ingredients used. Saved my life by not letting me have the pudding shot because I am allergic to coconut, but I wish there was an option for me. Everyone was satisfied with the food. I built my own burger, 1/4 pounder with onion ring, Mac and cheese, and bbq sauce.. delish. Although I asked for my burger to be cooked med, but it was well. Also tried the hotyaki wings and it's like a spicy bbq sauce, but really good. The best part of this meal was the price. We went during happy hour which is 4-7 I believe and the wings are $5, domestic drafts $2, and a bunch of other food and drink options for $6 or less. If I'm the area on vacation or shopping at the outlets I suggest giving this place a try. read more

Welp... The wings were good, but small. The egg rolls were ok. Not sure if it fell to the waitress or the kitchen. But they managed to make my sliders wrong twice. Never brought spoons for the kids to eat apple sauce. We had to ask for the juice boxes that were supposed to come with the kids' meals. This has been a staple of our Myrtle trip every year because it is convenient to our rental. This year it seems like the quality of the food has taken a dip. I had a great experience here. The food was excellent and well-portioned. I like how you add additional patties to the cheeseburger. The side salad I ordered was a good size, and I was able to add grilled chicken. Brittany, the server, was very attentive to our table. She never let our drinks get low, and helped us pick out her favorite drinks so we could try them. Even though the place was small, the atmosphere was great, there was plenty of seating, and they had my basketball game on TV that I wanted to see. This was a great find! My husband and I were visiting Myrtle Beach and spent the day at one of the outlet malls. It had been pouring rain pretty much all day and we came across Spanky's Pub House. I would definitely classify this as a local hangout possibly even for golfers since courses are so close, but not a dive bar. Small on the inside but has a nice patio along the front. Since it was raining, we grabbed a table inside. I had their Reuben (house specialty), and my husband had their Italian sandwich both panini style and they were fabulous. Just the right size that came with a side of Old Bay seasoned fries. Our waitress was so pleasant and so was the other staff members that stopped at our table to ensure everything tasted good. If you're not a local, you will not get the same level of treatment that all the others talk about. We saw people who came in after us get served because the manager personally served them. There was even a table that got there well before us and we got our food before them. Then when the manager came out, he basically tried to make it sound like it was their fault. That table was happy and celebrating something and that manager turned it into a bad experience for them. I've never seen a a manager so incompetent that he had to blame everyone else for his inability to lead a restaurant. I'm a very patient man and I rarely write bad reviews but it was just that bad. read more

Found this very quaint pub via Yelp. Great food and service. I ordered their signature egg rolls and I will admit, I was a bit nervous at first. Small restaurant with patio seating and a small list of bears on tap. Pretty typical menu with burgers, wraps, wings and tacos. Service was quick and they do provide samples of on tap beers. So, I had the shrimp tacos with a side of beer batter fry's while my wife had a Corn Beef Ruben with a side of slaw. Both were excellent. I choose an IPA and my wife had a smooth ale. Cold and fresh. I can't believe it took me so long to make it out to Spankys! While a bit limited on seating, this casual pub restaurant has a fantastic, local feel to it - and some delicious food and drinks to boot! Plus, they have some pretty good food specials! PROS: -Spankys is located right outside the Kingston Plantation area. If you're staying in Kingston, it's such a short and easy drive. If you're not, it's outside of the gated community, so you can still enjoy the delicious food. Spanky's has its own parking lot (shared with the other nearby businesses). -They have some pretty decent happy hour specials! -Pretzels are fantastic. They have a pretty darn delicious queso that goes perfectly with the pretzels. I'd definitely get their pretzels again. -Portion sizes are relatively large. You won't walk away from Spankys still hungry - and that's a good thing! -Their fries are pretty great as well. They're covered in Old Bay seasoning for a fun kick to your treat, but it's definitely a fun contrast to the usual Old Bay seasoning of only seafood. -Service was fantastic. A single server was taking care of the entirety of the outdoor area, and he was pretty darn good at it! Our drinks went unfilled for awhile, but he was clearly running around to the best of his ability - and still being very polite while doing so. Other than drink refills, he took care of all other requests as soon as possible. CONS: -Seating can be a bit limited. When we came to dinner, all that was available was outdoor tables. A couple people came then left because of the lack of seating. -If you're sensitive to loud noises and tight spaces, the inside of Spankys is not where you want to be. The seating is very close together, and with such a packed space, it gets a bit loud. I recommend sitting outside instead. The server is still pretty great about checking outside on a regular basis. read more

Spanky's saved our trip! We had 2 very bad experiences with pubs on our vacation, but decided to give this one a try. Great mix of beers including local brews. My wife built her own burger and loved it. I tried the shrimp tacos based on a recommendation from the waitress. Spot on. We even tried the Mac-n-cheese egg rolls as an appetizer. Really tasty. And excellent service. The waitress even grabbed the owner as he was heading out to answer questions on the egg rolls (my wife has pepper allergies. With a hot cheese dip and mustard. My wife had the Reuben Egg Roll and I had the Italy's Delight (chicken sandwich with marinara and mozzarella cheese). Both entrees came out piping hot and excellent. We sat at the bar and the bar staff was very attentive, friendly and fun. We came in on a Friday with free shuttle service from the Embassy Suites. Came in around 7:30pm and finished dinner around 8:30. Walked in at 7:30 and the dining area was light on patrons. By 8:30 it was about 75% full with appeared to be mostly bar patrons. We tried to order all flats and the cook wouldn't because he was "too busy" to separate flats from drummies. The place wasn't even pack but far. So we decided not to order food. The reason I am giving 4 stars is because they have pudding shots! I've never even heard of pudding shots and they were absolutely amazing!! The flavors of the day were birthday cake, pistachio, and thin mint. Thin mint was my favorite. I ordered two! Ordered a Reuben. What I was served was NOT a Reuben. No rye bread, corned beef tasted and had the consistency of pot roast. Not enough sauerkraut even though I ordered extra. Fries were these new extra crisp variety with some coating that restaurants have started serving recently that I now am starting to hate. Tea was either made yesterday or from a tap.
