We are very happy with our previously loved 2016 Mini Cooper, we felt the price was fair and reasonable, and Larry, our sales professional, was very knowledgeable and helpful. The GM, Craig, helped the financial end go very quickly and efficiently. We would definitely purchase another vehicle from Spanos again! Great jjob!

I purchased a car from Spanos Motors yesterday. For the most part the experience was fairly good. I'll explain the good and the not so good as well as the context in which everything occurred. Spanos was one of a few dealerships that had the car I wanted considering the style, color, mileage range and price. When I first contacted them I spoke with Dean, a nice guy who I was looking forward to working with. When I completed the online Dianne application Steve Radican, an equally nice guy, followed up with me. I let Steve know a few things off the bat: (1) if the car checks out when I get there I'll be getting it, (2) if there are any issues whatsoever with the car or the buying process I'll walk. He told me he was a straightshooter and that's 100% true. The car was in very good condition, test drive went very well and he even gave me two keys instead of the traditional one. (Though unfortunately one fob doesn't work to unlock/lock and can only be used in the ignition). The only con to the experience with Steve, and it's an admittedly small one, is that the car wasn't washed and ready for my arrival even though we planned for me to pick up the car on a specific day at a specific time. However he did give me a full tank of gas for the trouble. The financing was a mess. I had already been pre-approved with Capital One and expected to walk in, sign and walk out. The way this is supposed to work is the buyer receives the terms for their vehicle of choice from Capital One then only has to fill out dealer credit application. Once that happens dealer matches the terms and you sign the loan with Capital One (dealer's preferred lender anyway). Instead the finance guy couldn't find my pre-approval and quoted me a much higher rate. I had to call Capital One and let them know I already had a back-up cashier's check from another lender if this wasn't sorted out. Finally it was fixed but the rate was still slightly higher because of a $600 Doc Fee. In any event I just closed the loan and went with it. If it hadn't been for that I would have given the experience four and one half stars. Steve is what he says: a straightshooter and I would definitely return to Spanos to purchase a vehicle.

Purchased a BMW in May. Bought the 2400$ extended warranty. Car was delivered with oil leak, electrical issues, and turbo issues. Dropped the car off for repairs. No communication after 4 days if the warranty would cover. They had no mechanic that could fix a "pan gasket" leak so they farmed out the job to another shop. Still no word on coverage. We ended up picking up the car with no repairs done. Now headed to a reputable dealer with hopes of the warranty working. No professionalism displayed. Very misleading with lots of excuses. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS ORGANIZATION. You've been warned.

My wife and I bought a 2014 Porsche Cayenne January 8, 2021 from Spanos. Great condition car, 54,000 miles, super clean! I found the car online, called the dealership and spoke with Dean. Each of our conversations was easy and he was prompt to reply with any questions I had, texts, and sent photos requested. He really made the buying process easy and comfortable! We worked with Allen for financing the vehicle, and he too was very easy to work with and provided us a great finance rate and option. Next time we're looking for a car, I'll be reaching out to Dean.

DON'T BUY FROM SPANOS MOTORS HERE IS WHY!!! BOUGHT the vehicle from spanos Motors. Was told it was in mint condition. When it was delivered the whole front was stone chpped the the front bumper was cracked. The front air induction duct was missing. Then after driving the vehicle 8 miles it broke down. Engine light came on .. vehicle went into limp mode would not go over 35mph. When I called spanos Motors the sales team said don't worry we will make arrangements to take care of the front end. The sales manager said it is my car they are not going to help at all. (I WAS ABSOLUTELY LIED TO) all that had to be done as I did is call porsche give the vin number and find out it was still under warranty. The car was exhaust modified which is called piggy tailing a day the spanos technician should have found before selling the vehicle. Now the title spanos Motors sold me a vehicle that they did not have proper title for meaning proper ownership. It took 3 months for me to get proper title and 2 trips to dmv and uncountable calls to spanos Motors. The damage bumper they will not make good on. DO NOY BUY FROM SPANOS MOTORS!!!!

Very nice dealership with very nice looking cars. The staff was very nice, friendly and serviceable. We went to look at a Mini Cooper, which in pics looked really nice, and it was . Except that it was full of scratches by a dog on the back doors and seat of the car and that was not shown in pictures. Not cool! Waste of time and gas. We drove from Orlando to Spanish in Daytona Beach just to see that specific vehicle. Disappointed. read more

I had looked at a Porsche on this website and I was going to make a deal and fly out and get the car. After reading the reviews though I changed my mind. It was too far to travel to take that risk. However, they responded fairly quickly and I appreciated that. The reviews just put me off. If they were closer by I would risk it. Thanks read more

spanos told me to rent a car while they were trying to fix my Cayenne. I did. They said they would reimburse me. I turned in the receipt and paperwork from the car rental over three months later still did not receive a reimbursement and they finally told me they would not reimburse me. Also, the problem with the vehicle was never fixed and found out that it was missing a bracket that held the catalytic converter in place, which should have been with the car and they have had three service managers since I bought the vehicle that was nine months ago so three service managers in nine months Having the vehicle fixed myself read more

HORRIBLE!!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE UNPROFESSIONAL USED CAR DEALERS!!!! At first, their staff seemed to be very prepared to help us. But once they sold us the car, they wanted NOTHING more to do with us. All their talk about their used car lot being SO much better than everyone elses, and they PRIDE themselves on having THE best cars is a load of Crap! And also PRIDE themselves on repeat customers - the Only repeat customers I see now on reviews, are ones that are unhappy with the second purchase! I bought a BMW convertible from them, and 850 miles later the whole DME and all SIX cylinders needed to be replaced!!!! $3800!!!!!!! Do NOT buy from these con artists - but if you do, Definitely have a mechanic thoroughly check out the ENTIRE car. Do not believe a word that Steve says! read more

DO NOT... I REPEAT... DO NOT purchase anything from this dealer. I unfortunately bought a Mercedes SLK on Saturday, Jan. 4. The car had a bad left headlight upon inspection and salesman Matt Blood promised to have it fixed. Austin called to request that I bring the vehicle in on Friday, Jan. 10 around 9:30. When I arrived...I was not on the schedule. He and Craig, Service Mgr, confirmed they scheduled me but forgot to add to calendar. After waiting for 1 1/2 hours, I'm told the car is on the lift. Then I'm told the headlight came (singular) however was broken and they were waiting for replacement. After 4 hours, I approach "Craig" who says "do you want me to fix the car or take down from the lift now" I asked that he not disrespect me...He was most unprofessional "Mgr" I've ever had to deal with.. I just purchased a $20K 2013 SLK... I have never been treated like this in my life. Let me continue... I didn't check the lights when he gave me my car as I just had to get out of there. I was in tears with sadness and the feeling that I was being totally taken advantage of. So when I arrive home, the lights are different!!! He lied and said he replaced both headlights when it appears that he didn't replace any. They were the same as when I took the car in. I had a conversation with dealer manager "Steve". He was more unhelpful than Matt as the salesperson. He promised to call me Monday morning and have a 3 way call with himself, me and Craig. He didn't call!!! When I called Spanos I'm told Steve is off today. I ask to speak with Craig. He insists he replaced both headlights then begins to raise his voice and tell me he's going to disconnect my call. I never saw a receipt of parts ordered. He lied. I gave Matt Blood a good review via a link he sent me before all this took place, however would not give the same review at this stage. The entire team sent me down the road with a car that needed minor fixes and treated me like I was a criminal. Biggest mistake I made was walking into that car lot. I should have looked at Spanos reviews before I ever considered buying a vehicle from them. The entire team represents a group of hoodlums. Don't trust anything they say or do. read more

I would not buy from this dealership. Purchased a car that was falsely advertised and ended up losing $10k 6 months later.

I inquired about a vehicle they had for sale listed in their website. I received a text from Justin. I asked him for some information on the vehicle, which he supplied, it's only when I asked him about their dealer fees he stopped communication. after reading BBB reviews I now understand why. it seems they are not truthful on disclosing their actual pricing until you make a deal then they advise about these " junk " fees. be careful dealing with them. read more

The worse buying experience I've ever had. I usually don't bother with reviews even if they are bad but I felt i had to let people know what they would be In for. Buyer beware. We had agreed to a price on a car and I went through the process of getting insurance and finalized the loan. I had taken time off from work to sign some preliminary documents. As I was about to walk out the door and pick up the car they called and just canceled saying someone else bought the car. That was a lie. They said the car was worth more. They jacked up the price online. I suspect they wanted more money from me. Did they tell me the price just to pry a deposit from me and hold on to it? I don't know. It doesn't make sense. What I do know is what feels shady and that felt shady. Proceed in Caution. read more

Wow! Do NOT ever buy a car from this company. Bough a small sports car and took it in for service in Jax 3 weeks after I bought it...the mechanic showed me all the things they covered up :(. $2400.00 I paid to fix. Unhappy with my purchase. I thought the sales rep was excellent - Matt. Just wish more straight forward remarks from the Manager. Said my car was not one they would market coz wasn't high end - only luxury (even though they have Minis, Fiat and another Honda for sale) and came in with a low trade in price. Told her I would go home and go over the numbers. Then said she would call some wholesalers to see what they say and came back with the right trade in price. Now the car is listed on their website for sale. Why not just negotiate rather than play games! Do not trust Autocheck which they use. Mine said accident but salesman said minor and Autocheck doesn't grade severity. Just accident. Low and behold I got home and paid for Carfax and the accident was "severe" not minor, and the retail value of the car was way below what I paid due to the severe accident. Also they charge you $899 for something like appearance package. Was told it is applied to every car as it comes in. Sales Rep said it is a ceramic coating added to the car and has a 3 year guarantee. Well - nothing in the closing papers that mentions the process or anything about a protective coating guarantee - and don't know what is even guaranteed ! Washed the car and there is no ceramic coating. Any car that has a ceramic coating at this cost beads differently than just a wax. This is just a spray on wax - so refuse to pay the $899. Day after I bought the car had to have the valve stem in the right front tire replaced as the TPMS continued to send an alarm. The valve stem was broken (couldn't even add air to the tire) which is what triggered the constant TPMS warning every time I started the car. They have great cars, and my sales Rep was great. Just be aware and cautious. UPDATE: This car was way overdue for an oil change when sold to me - and lo and behold! the drain plug was stripped. Another $100 to fix. Air filter was pitch black when replaced. This dealership only does cosmetics to sell a car - nothing of any substance. Just check all the BBB complaints that are unresolved read more

Don't BUY anything from this Fraudulent Organization. I really should of looked at the reviews before buying from Spanos. I have been around cars all my life and seen a lot of shady work and deals go down when selling cars. This absolutely tops everything I've experienced. I recently inquired about a 2015 BMW 550I on Feb 13th, which I was told and assured the car has zero issues and went through their multi-point inspection certified thoroughly by factory-trained mechanics*. I came back on Wednesday Feb 16th and decided to purchase the car after a quick test drive and cleaning of the car from which one of the salesmen where smoking in the car and using it for personal use (mileage won't match advertisement). The car was somewhat cleaner and didn't smell of smoke so I decided to move forward with purchase. 3 days later I noticed and oil leak under the car while inspecting the car myself, along with non working fog lamps, charge pipe and intake pipe not secure to turbo housing, and heavy vibration at highway speeds. It took about 3-4 days to get Craig (service manager) to call me back to schedule a day to look at the car. I decided to check the oil level and also noticed it was half empty but all I was told was they do a "full service" on their cars but yet not even an oil change was done. On Feb 21st I brought the car at 9 am. I seen the car leave out the back and come back then parked on the side of the service bays for 3.5 hours, which I was then finally called to the service desk. At this point I knew they didn't even put the car on a lift because they knew what was wrong prior to selling me the car. This is Fraud by false representation to sell me a car and lie to my face. the repair can cost $3500-5500 just for the Valve cover and gasket replacements. I was told 3.5- 4 days they would need the car, which is understandable per the job at hand. I left the Car Feb 28th and still have not been updated with the status of my car to this day and every time I call I get a voice mail and no call backs til today March 9th to which i'm told they ran into complications but couldn't tell me what...This is bull and this has to be the most shady way to do business period. I still have zero Idea when i'll get my car back and if the work was even done correctly. I must also point out my dealer warranty is about to run out and I've only driven the car for a week. Very sketchy group. I was just called to pick up the car and we will see what happens.. 3/10 UPDATE** I arrived and I asked If I can have a copy of the work that was done but all they would provide is a in house print out showing two gaskets and the price..which doesn't prove or show any actual evidence the actual parts were ordered and work was performed. NO Valve covers shown, so i ask why and Craig states that wasn't mentioned, even though the only two times I spoke with Craig I repeated and he repeated two valve covers and gaskets were being put on the car. He then states they weren't needed. So I go outside and go under the car to find the same oil leak that I originally brought the car in for and Craig states the work was done but stuttered and couldn't answer why there was still oil everywhere. Prior to me bringing the car I marked a couple hoses and they didn't move..at this point i'm upset because they kept my car 10 days for a 3-4 day job and stated it wasn't a priority.. yea the single father's only car wasn't a priority (which they knew) At this point I asked the mechanic and he states the work was done in two days and showed me a gasket that supposedly was removed from my car.. but instead was a gasket to a straight 6 motor and I asked, do you realize my car is a V8?? At this point everyone is lying to me and ultimately wasting my time since my 30 day warranty is up in about 5 days!?! The best part is I go back inside to speak with Craig who walked away from me while speaking and he wouldn't come out his office to address any of my concerns as a customer. The best part is they STILL didn't even complete a oil change on the car.. I even showed pictures and he refused to help me and provide me with anything remotely close to proof that the work was done on the car or even speak with me. This hands down is the absolute worst customer experience and most unprofessional treatment I ever experienced. They refuse to hold themselves accountable or be transparent. All I asked for honesty and good business ethic and received none. I have no words for the way I was treated just for calling out their deception. read more

HORRIBLE TERRIBLE DONT WALK RUN The nightmare ended today but the two year struggle was real . Short version - Lisa the manager is a straight up Liar . Dean is by all rights a salesman and will do what it takes to get the sale which makes him and Lisa a great pair ,(pair of liars) Sold the hunk of shit they sold us and this is t about being disgruntle it's about the thought that maybe who ever reads this just maybe can be spared what we want thru . I only feel bad for the auction that's about to get what we traded yet this is a mirror image of what they do . They buy shit and sell shit and they know it .... When we traded our prize piece of shit Range Rover also known as the Spanos specials we told the dealer it was a terd. I often wonder when and what it is that finally puts a business under and if the common public would take a second to assess these crooks then their time is nearing . Remember these people are crooks and you've been warned . Ps .. Tour they're low budget service department and waiting room and this should be a sign . Matter of fact go back in a week and except for liars R us you'll see new people . #spanosmorors suck . read more

I recently purchased my second car from spanos. The first deal went smooth so I returned and unfortunately this will be my last time The car I purchased was not as advertised the manager Dean said he would make it right and that hasn't happened and won't unless I choose another car which I do not want to. I purchased a BMW that advertised Bluetooth which it doesn't have and Deans solution was to put an aftermarket radio/Bluetooth in the car basically a 200 dollar radio which by the way would void the factory warranty so that's not an option Second today after only having the car less than two weeks it is already on it's way to the dealership because it's sputtering and wants to stall and the check engine light is on. I am extremely disappointed Updated I have the car back it does have Bluetooth but was not working needed a part also I received a call from the salesmen at spanos after my review asking me to retract it. How do you rate them less than one star? They from the beginning were less than honest, with half of the staff saying one thing, then the other saying the opposite. They would not honor a bank check and demanded that I do a credit app so they could find "alternate financing" or they wouldn't let the car go (knowing I was from across the state and had been dropped off.) To top THAT off, the car threw a check engine light less than 4 miles after I pulled out with it. They did have me bring it back, which I did, and they "cleared" it. However, it came back on an hour later. LOVELY. SO, they promise to take care of the bill, I just had to take it in to a service shop. NOW they won't even pay for a $150 diag fee. What a group of shysters. NEVER do business here EVER. They are as dishonest as they come. read more

DONT BUY A CAR FROM HERE! I bought a car from here about a year and a half ago with the extended warranty. The car has been nothing but problems since. They stated they will "wave" the $100 deductible if you have warranty work done there. They did not honor this plus the warranty company (GWC) is useless and will leave you with lots of not covered costs. read more
To say that I am disappointed with my purchase and the lack of customer service I received is an understatement. I have never felt more lied to, betrayed and taken advantage of. After purchasing my car on January 2nd, I was assured that the car would be repaired and delivered by trailer within 1 week, with all items on the We Owe form completed. At the end of one week, I started calling only to get transferred to voicemails, and passed from department to department. I was given a complete runaround. I called over 3 dozen times and left multiple emails and voicemails. The car was finally delivered almost 2 weeks later on January 14th. It was driven to me by the salesman, not trailered as promised, and didn't arrive until after 9:00pm. Not only did they not complete all of the items on the We Owe form, but there was additional paint damage to the front of the car. They didn't even take the time to detail the car. It was painfully obvious that it received a rushed, half-hearted wipe down with ArmorAll as it was caked on the dash and seats, yet there was still old dirt and dust throughout the interior. The next day, I discovered that the air conditioning system doesn't work. I took it to our mechanic, and found that the car is still in transport mode. Unbelievable. It seems the team at Spanos Motors is completely incompetent and there is a painful disconnect between departments. I am outraged with the experience and will NEVER do business with Spanos Motors again. read more

Cathy and the team have been amazing - responsive, communicative and professional. Will do business with again!
We found a car that was perfect for our needs through our insurance company's auto buying program. We got a check and went down to get the car an hour away. We checked for damages and they offered to fix them, but we would have to leave it for a few days or come back. We decided to make an appointment to bring it back. They detailed the car and we left. We brought the car back and the damages were not all fixed. We are had to make ANOTHER appointment to bring it back. This time while we were there, we asked about the title. They said it would be ready the following week. The car damages were not all fixed again, but we didn't want to have to bring it back a third time. Two weeks came and went. We didn't get the title. They finally sent it, but without the lien holder. Our credit union threatened to increase our loan rate if the title was not fixed. We have to pay to send it out (certified because I don't trust them with regular mail). Our credit union finally received the title and everything is ok. Our experience was horrible, but we got a good deal on an economical vehicle. Patricia was actually helpful. If I were to go back here, it is only to get a good deal...and I would have to be desperate. read more

I rarely bother with reviews, but Spanos Motors in Daytona Beach was without exception the most unorganized, lousy customer service dealer I have ever had the displeasure of working with. I have been buying high end vehicles most of my career and this was the sixth Mercedes I have purchased over the years, but Spanos wins hands down as the dealer I would go out of my way to tell people STAY AWAY... My salesman Dean was great, but when management got involved, every promise was under delivered or broken. Not sure if they are simply incompetent or dishonest or both, but I will never buy a car from these people again. They still owe me $200 for repairs they promised me and said the only way they would pay me is if I took my (bad) reviews down. read more

Please be aware before purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. The dealer does a good job marketing their vehicles which is fine. When you finally choose to purchase a vehicle, then the sales person discloses the significant additional fees to purchase. Let me be clear, virtually every dealer charges a Dealer Fee. But this dealership not only charges a $899 Dealer Fee, they also charge a Reconditioning Fee ($399 was my quote), and an Appearance Fee ($999 was my quote). In addition to these last 2 outrageous fees, this dealer also charges $450 to file the Title and Registration electronically. Outrageous!!! Virtually every Florida dealer includes any and all Reconditioning and Title/Registration Filing Fees as part of the Dealer Fee. All these extra fees are nothing more than PROFIT!! BE AWARE BEFORE YOU PURCHASE!!! Understand you are giving your hard earned money as additional dealership profit if you agree to these outrageous fees! Compare elsewhere! read more

Classic bait and switch! Appears to advertise in violation of FL 817.44 by offering vehicles for sale that they do not have! Went there on 2/29/20 to look at a car that was shown on their website at a great price. Got there and was told that it "just sold!"....but, I could look at a white one they had (more money of course). Today is 4/23/20 and the EXACT same car is still shown on their website with a lower "Internet Price." Decided to use their chat feature and request an explanation. Here is what I got... "We keep vehicles like these up on our website to potentially show customers what types of vehicles we can go get for them if they happened to be sold at the time of inquiring." Makes me wonder how long it had been on their even before I inquired! My husband and I spent a rainy Sunday with Richard L'Amore at Spanos Motors yesterday! He was awesome! So accommodating, informed, kind and patient with us test driving many many vehicles. We ended up leaving with the last one we drove! The finance application and that whole process was smooth! It was still raining when we left but we left with the car of our dreams! Thank you Richard and Spanos Motors! Jill and Allen read more

First and foremost I would like to thank Ryan at Spano's cycles for working with me as I purchased a 2016 sportster 883 iron.. I shopped around for about three months found a bike at their shop couldn't beat the price.. Ryan was very helpful knowledgeable and professional. If any of you guys or gals are in the market for a bike and like to save money go talk to Ryan at the cycle shop. Their prices are reasonable and their dealer fee is half the price of anyone else I went to. I also want to put a shout out to all the guys at the cycle shop that load up the bike and finish the transaction great job my hat goes off to you guys thanks...!!!! read more

DO NOT BUY from these dishonest scumbags. They are as bad as bad can get. The GM Lisa P is a complete disgrace of a human being and does not have the guts or decency to address customer complaints. She hides and tells staff to tell customers that she is in a " meeting". How this woman is the GM of ANYTHING is beyond comprehension. She is either related to the owner or is in a relationship with him. My son bought a BMW from these crooks after his car crapped out. He is down there for work and school and they knew this when he came in. Not 2 hours after leaving their lot his car threw a check engine light with a P0420 code which is a catalyst code. they had him bring it back the next day and it has been hell ever since. They have had it 2 weeks and still have not addressed the issue. 1st they told him it was the fuel pump so they replaced it, before he could get it back, boom the check engine light came back on. They just keep giving excuses instead of at the least sending it to a certified BMW shop. When he calls or goes there they tell him that the tech is out sick, and one day he was told the tech is out on jury duty. When he finally talked to a tech again he was told that its throwing the code because they finally looked at it on the lift and saw that it has straight pipes, which is illegal in most states. They tell you that they go through their cars and do a complete " inspection" before selling it to a customer. Really? And during this " inspection" they did not notice something so obvious. He then told my son that the problem was " out of his realm" So they do not even have techs that are qualified to repair BMWs! He calls they never call back, they tell him they'll " make it right" and again, do not answer his calls or call him back. There is NOT A DOUBT in my mind that they are buying these problem cars and resetting the check engine lights instead of fixing the issue. Then when a customer buys it and the light comes on, they act surprised and try and put the responsibility on the unsuspecting buyer. Classic dishonest dealer practices. Fortunately I was in the business for over 20 years and know who to contact to get something done. These guys are going to fix the car or pay for repairs one way or the other. FLHSMV is the agency that oversees dealership licenses and complaints. Once you file a complaint and submit the documentation they request, they will investigate the dealership and your deal personally. They will do a complete inspection of your car and its computer. If they find the dealer sold it you under deceptive practices they can and will order the dealer to either give you a full refund and take the car back or make them pay for ALL repairs. They can also issue disciplinary action against their dealer license. These crooks will just hope you go away so be PERSISTENT and do not take no for an answer. Scumbags like this dealership do what they do because they have been getting away with it. Call the FLHSMV, the DBPR, local media and the representative for that district. Blow them up on social media and internet. Take them to court if need be! DO NOT just give up. If they think we are just going to go away, they are sadly mistaken. If you buy a car from these maggots after reading all the negative reviews, and reading about my sons experience, then you deserve what you get. There are MANY decent and honest dealers out there, THESE crooks are not one of them. Do your HOMEWORK and you will find out for yourself. If my son had called me bofore buying a car from these crooks, he would not have had to deal with what he is dealing with. I would have told him to RUN from them and their junk cars. He will certainly never make that mistake again. If they decide to do the right thing which I highly doubt or they are forced to by FLHSMV then I will update this review. Buyer beware is the best way to approach any used car dealership. Hope this review helps you from being ripped off. read more

Horrible customer service. Technicians "diagnosed" a problem that wasn't the main issue. Half the mechanics can't figure out what they are doing. Closed for the hurricane but didn't bother to cancel any appointments. I would not recommend service or any work done at this location. The staff are some of the most disorganized and unfriendly I have ever encountered read more

Go afternoon buyer. beware of this coumpany if you are looking for a car. they're not great people, even the store manager. I purhased a 2014 cadalaic ATS. When I took it for a test drive I noticed the tire sensor light was on and the service light. The saleperson that was in the car with me stated the he would have it checked by the mechanic on Monday. We left and we were saying the they were good people; but that was not the case. My husband called them Monday and no one responded. Then the second call my husband made leting them know that he will write a revew. They said to call us Wednesday and they will take care of it. So we did call and it sent us to voicemail. I left a message for someone to call me and let me know when I can bring the car in, to have it checked out for the service light and the sensor light. no one had the decency to return my phone call. As a woman i feel disrespected. This is about the principal now.!!!! I decided to take the car to Goodyear to have the car checked out, the the mechanic stated that's the the problem is the tire sensor. So I desided to have it fixed for $98.00. This is all they had to do to satisfy the customer. I would not recommend anyone to go through what i had to deal with, unpofessional company and they did not keep their word that they would fix the problem. 0 stars...!!!! Worst service department I have used. Could not find the problem with the Mercedes I bought from them even though I had sent them the diagnostic Report my normal mechanic gave me mainly as I don't think they wanted to honor the warranty. Additionally they returned the car with the left rear tire almost flat despite the big red tire warning light on the dash. Additionally I called them every day for 10 days with not one call back. Caveat emptor with this dealership. read more

We had previously owned a vehicle from Spanos. Today we traded in our Porsche Boxster for a WV cc rline. And had the most wonderful experience. It's under new management now, and Greg the new manager was very professional, kind and considerate. He and Jon made the whole buying experience very very smooth. I would now 100% come back down to Spanos with this great turn around and beautiful selection of cars. We have a signed agreement to have two minor details looked at the car. This sale has been a great experience. Spanos, thank you so much for your hard work on rebranding your image and the way you took care of existing customers The Royer's read more

Horrible place to buy a car. I bought a Lincoln navigator and a Lincoln mkz on the same day. The navigator spent the next 9 months in the shop. Everything from shocks, brake rotors, seals, gaskets and electrical issues. I put 4,000 miles on it then the transmission blew. 6k to fix it. It's still parked in the driveway with a blown tranny. I tried calling them over and over again to see if they could help when the shocks went out. Not even a single phone call back. Stay away. Dont say I didnt warn you. read more

Don't buy from Spanos Motors. Spanos Motors is a luxury dealer of used, often expensive, autos and claims to specialize in "well maintained vehicles" and they intentionally do not disclose known issues or are incompetent in their inspection process. Either way, they did not disclose a very significant maintenance item that would have likely ended my purchase. As shown in BBB, including my own, complaints, buyers need to be aware that Spano Motors cannot be trusted to disclose critical information that may effect your purchase decision. read more

Bought 2nd car from Spanos Motors today - first a Jeep and now a Range Rover. In both cases, their team found us EXACTLY what we were looking for. I can't say enough about the customer service of this dealership. Vic Spanos, the owner, has admirable integrity, particularly rare in this industry. He truly cares about his customers, employees and the community - great guy. If you're looking for an awesome used car - Audi to BMW, Lexus, Mercedes, Range Rover....you name it - they got it. Cathy Courtney could not have been more courteous in our month long search for a Mercedes that ended at Spanos! After reading the horrible reviews about Spanos I was definitely skeptical about everything from their customer service to the "shady title work" but to be honest I could not have been happier! As soon as we walked in we were greeting by Cathy that showed us exactly what we were looking. Cathy is truly passionate about her position and it shows. 5 stars to Cathy!!! read more

We had never purchased a vehicle from a dealer similar to this before. What a pleasant surprise to have such a wonderfully kind and authentic sales person. His name is Richard and he made the entire experience great. How often do u get to say that about purchasing a car? Craig the finance guy was very succinct and organized which meant no annoyance at the close with hardcore pitches. Thx u Richard for a first rate buying experience! read more

Please allow me to give these guys an honest AND GENUINELY INDEPENDENT review. YES, IT'S LONG, AND NO- I am NOT the daughter, sister, wife, cousin or mother of the owner...nor am I in ANY way associated to these guys, in any capacity-other than my OWN, personal car buying experience: I am a hard working nurse, and single mother to three children-a 23 y.o. in her last year of med school, a 17 y.o. in her last year of high school, and a 10 y.o. boy. I'm a relatively intelligent human being, and work incredibly hard for the things I have. Just about every penny I have had - in the past 18 years, has largely been allocated to two teenager girls, one WAY overpriced med school, one WAY over priced Catholic School, and one WAY too many 65 $ games from Gamestop. SO-spending money on MYSELF? PPFT! yea. Um...not. My daughter turned 16 last year. Lord God clear the roads. SO- I bought her a total 'mom oh my GAWD do I have to be seen in that' kind of CAR-because I knew if she dinged it, dented it, or blew it up-we wouldn't lose 10 grand to a new 16 yo driver (which, by the way parents-If you give your kid a 25K dollar car for their 16th birthday? you, my friend- are a fool and you've made my life, and the lives of a bazillion other working, normal people's lives' 100 times more difficult when we try and responsibly give a 1500k dollar car to OURS). Anyway- 17 rolled around, she deserved to upgrade. However, a major twist of events also rolled around (typical...) in which I incurred about a 6k unplanned and immediate relocation 125 miles from where we've lived, a new job, new house, new school...and very stressful. So I sold my old car, upgraded hers, and I began looking for a car. Mercedes of Daytona, PC Dodge, TG Chevrolet, JH Chevrolet, and every other place within 50 miles. SPENT HOURS AND DAYS ON END, IN WAITING AREAS, walking car lots, viewing cars I hated but "worked best for financing"-yea, whatever. You MEAN: "has been sitting on our lot for 184 days because it's a hideous, base model Hertz rental car look alike with hubcaps and happens to be 5k overpriced'. I was going insane, and it ended the SAME WAY, every time. NO GO for financing. (THANKS EQUIFAX, YOU ARE THE WORST COMPANY ON THE PLANET BY THE WAY). ..But SPANOS. I kept going back to their site, but hadn't gone in yet. Too good to be true? I'm SURE, but I called anyway to ask some financing questions. First contact: Trent. A damn good way to start this process. He spent 15 minutes on the phone with an agitated nurse and mom whom spent the last 2 wks with car dealers. GOD help me. NOT my idea of a 14 day long Sunday-Funday. I was seriously ready to pull my hair out by the time I ended up at Spanos. So I headed in. Walked in the door, greeted by every person who walked by me. Impressive. The blonde guy at the front, was the coolest ever, very very nice, appropriately well refined, and well spoken. Not your typical 'car dealer type'. Just about every person so far was great. Next Contact- my salesman Dan. British accent, well refined, well spoken. Right on....I was so pleasantly surprised. We began my process and met with Brad- Another totally cool guy, and he's like 6'6 or something ridiculous...so he's also very stately looking, well dressed, and well presented. He worked with Trent, for almost a week, and we all worked diligently to get this done. I dealt with Equifax--they dealt with banks-- and together we rocked it out.Was it easy? No. But they didn't NOT give up on me. ALSO, keep in mind, this is NOT 'BUY HERE PAY HERE'. It's a good place, that works hard to get you REAL financing, with REAL banks-NOT a car lot run by people with a combined education level of 6th grade, 4 felonies, and 12 lawsuits for preying on the desparate. Its a good place, which accomplished my loan through one of the world's largest lenders, JP Morgan Chase. The terms weren't beautiful due to a few 'blemishes' on my credit - a result of my OWN fiscally turbulent decisions. HOWEVER, this will positively reflect on my credit and help me to re-establish a strong and healthy financial portfolio. I won't tell you which car I chose, as I am relatively modest-However, It's 9 years old, and has less than 65k miles on it. THAT'S LESS THAN 10k miles per year and i love it. SO, in concluding- we all know that for every bad result or experience, it's spread ten fold to the good ones, so if something is Great, SAY so. DON'T JUST WAIT UNTIL SOMETHING, SOMEONE, OR SOME COMPANY pisses you off, then blast them out. It reflects terribly on their business, and chances are, they would have resolved your issues had you approached them in a systematically professional way. KEEPING IN MIND you're buying a used car- NOT A brand new Bugatti. A used car will need repairs. Period. If you don't like that, buy a brand new one and pay 30k..But DON'T EXPECT a Diamond for the price of a Cubic Zirconia. BE REAL. Love this place, and I will go back. Give them a try. :) read more

Saturday, June 11, 2016: Called salesman, Charles, before leaving Tampa, to say we'd left, and would arrive around 4:00 p.m. Enthusiastically, Charles assured us the vehicle we were traveling 3 hours to see, would be detailed and ready. We called twice more along the way, to let Charles know our estimated time of arrival. With each phone call, he announced proudly the vehicle would be detailed and ready. Upon arrival, the vehicle he'd repeatedly assured us would be detailed, and which "looked like new," was filthy inside and out, and for the grand finale, pickled in stale cigarette smoke. When I expressed my dismay over the vehicle's condition, asking pointedly why Charles had said the vehicle looked new, when clearly, it looked nothing of the kind, first, he defensively replied, "It's in great condition, for a 2008!" followed immediately by, "We've been busy today! There was no time to do this one." If there had been a slew of customers, as he'd suggested, there were none on the lot when we arrived, but, that's not the issue. Charles had repeatedly assured us the car would be detailed, and we'd taken him at his word. When it wasn't, we were decidedly unhappy and told him so. But, mileage was low, so we took the car for a test drive, made our offer, haggled some, and a deal was struck. Though unpleasant, that's car buying, so not the part I'm giving a poor rating for. This is. While we waited, it seemed only at our insistence, the car was tarted up a bit, but, by no stretch of the imagination could what was done be considered an actual detailing. Still, it looked good enough that we could see its potential, so let the issue go. Throughout the purchase, both Charles, and the manager, Rich C., asked, several times each, whether or not I wanted my license plate from my old vehicle transferred to my new one, or would I prefer a new plate. Each time, I stated clearly I wished my existing plate transferred. We took the car home, and a few weeks later a new plate and registration were received in the mail. I contacted Department of Motor Vehicles, and was told I would have to contact the dealership from which I'd purchased the vehicle. I called Spanos Motors immediately and spoke with Denise, who was pleasant, apologetic for the error, and who assured me she would contact me again in a few days with details about how the plate should be returned to Spanos, and how my refund would be handled. Two days turned into a week; no return phone call. I called again, explaining my temporary tag would expire on July 11, and that I needed to rectify the matter straight away. Still no return call. Finally, realizing Denise would not be returning my phone calls, I left a message for the Manager, Rich C., explaining the temporary tag was going to expire within a week's time and that I needed assistance. One week later, still no return call. On July 11, in order to comply with the law, I removed my temporary tag, replaced it with the tag from my previous vehicle, called the DMV, and was told I could return the tag to them. Taking the day off work, I made the trek to the DMV, and after waiting in line, was told I would have to contact the dealership from which I'd purchased the vehicle. I explained my phone calls were not being returned, and three hours in, the unwanted plate was accepted by the DMV, at which point, the customer service rep explained that without the new sticker she was giving me, if pulled over, I would've had a serious problem, because the number on the sticker affixed to my existing plate was associated with my old car. After paying a $6.00 transfer fee, we left the DMV legal once again, a "Motor Services Regional Offices - Other Motor Vehicle Service Center Dealer licenses, complaints and investigations of dealers Rebuilt inspections" form in hand, I fully intend to use. Volusia County DMV will no doubt wish to be made aware of Spanos Motors refusal to handle the matter relating to the return of a state issued license plate. The car buying process is unpleasant enough without having to deal with unprofessional, unprincipled individuals, and yes, I'm referring to you, Charles and Rich C. The way we were mistreated was a disgrace. Car shoppers: If you still want to buy from Spanos Motors after reading this review..well... you've been warned. read more

Car shoppers: If you still want to buy from Spanos Motors after reading this review..well... you've been warned. read more

I really wanted to like this place, and I'm a true believer that mistakes happen. I writing this review almost a year after I originally purchased this vehicle. First and foremost I was told by many people not to purchase a vehicle from Spano's due to the following reasons: They don't sell reliable vehicles and they're not honest. I originally went to Field's BMW inquiring about purchasing a new BMW. The sales guy at Fields completely blew me off and was in a rush to not work with me. I left and called Spano's and inquired about a BMW I saw on the website. I spoke to a gentlemen over the phone and made an appointment to come to the showroom. Upon arriving the gentlemen I spoke to passed me off to a different person named DJ. I toured the showroom and selected two BMW's that I was interested in purchasing. This was the first red flag, one of the BMW's taillight was about to fall off and it had looked like someone tried to glue it back on. Upon seeing that I immediately told DJ I was not interested in that BMW. The second BMW I noticed had minor cosmetic issues and DJ offered to fix those. I test drove it and began to do the paperwork. I went to the finance guys office at the time and he was very strange. The guy was very jittery and just not talkative at all. It seemed like he simply wanted to quickly get everything done and us out of there. He quickly went over the finance agreement and got us out of there. I was told by DJ to bring the car back and they will fix the cosmetic issues. I brought the car in the next day to get the minor cosmetic issues fixed and the guy at the service desk immediately told me that he couldn't see us that day and that they're all booked up. He said that he wouldn't be able to see us for another week or so. I explained that DJ said to come in whenever and you guys will fix it, he stated that this happens frequently and he couldn't see us. I came back a week or so later to get my door handle replaced and brakes fixed. Turns out they couldn't get my brakes done that day because Spano's sold me my vehicle without a rim key. The first thing I told myself after that was "Why did I purchase a vehicle here" he told me that he would have to get a new rim key from the dealership and it could take a few days. I said that's fine and rescheduled for another day. I came back a few days later and they said that they couldn't get a key. He explained that there mechanic will weld off the wheel locks and get the brakes done. I waited 8 hours and they replaced my brakes. This left minor cosmetic issues on my rims, that I just brushed off because I was sick of dealing with Spano's at this point. After an agonizing few weeks dealing with Spano's I finally caught a break... at least I thought I did fast forward to this year. I called my lean-holder (Santander Bank) and ask what my interest rate and payoff was. They stated my interest rate was 19% and gave the amount for the payoff. I was in shock the finance guy didn't explain anything regarding that interest rate. I was so pissed off I quickly payed the vehicle off. Once I payed the vehicle off I got a message from Santander and they stated that I overplayed by $100 or so dollars. They stated that I would receive a Visa card in the mail with that amount. I waited for over a month and received nothing. I called back inquiring about the Visa card and the gentlemen said it had been mailed already. I explained I never received it. After several hours on the phone, he asked to verify my address and it turns out that Spano's gave them there address instead of mine. All my loan documents with Santander had Spano's address. To finish things up I called Spano's on my final straw and explained everything. The guy I spoke to said everyone that was there when I purchased the vehicle are not there anymore and they are under new management. To sum this review up, just don't buy a vehicle here or be stubborn like me and go through this ordeal. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! READ BEFORE YOU BUY!! The absolute worst car buying experience ever. Started out as an internet search that yielded many great cars on the lot that we wanted to see. When we arrived we were greeted by Steve Radican. The worst car salesman ever. Talked a real big game. Wel the one car we were interested was not available anymore and after reading other reviews, im not sure it ever was available. After about an hour or so of browsing we had decided on a BMW 528i 2010. The car needed a few things done before our purchase so spanos typed up an "we owe" sheet. One nice thing they did extra was tint the windows(even though quality was low and had bubbles in it). I completed al the paperwork and set a date to bring the car back to finish up the minor repairs and get a FULL 6 hour detail with clay bar and wax Steve said. I drive back a week later for the appt and when I arrive Steve said the appt was for sunday, even though i watched him put it in the system and me and my wife both had the date on our calenders. There was no loaner vehicles available at the time. So I now drove 90 min for no reason. At this point I told steve that I Was going to need them to come pickup the car and drop it off while leaving me a loaner vehicle. He agreed and said he would call me. I waited a few days and no call. After 10 days I called and spoke to the manager, Eli. Eli assured me that this is not how they do business and that he was now taking over. By the end of the day he called me to confirm the pickup of the car. Car was picked up next day and a stick shift kia was left for me as a loaner. Good thing my wife didnt have to drive it cause she cant drive stick. After 4 days I called in to check the status of the vehicle but ELi was unavailable. He never called back. I CALled again next day to no avail. Now 2 weeks later I call to get an update and notify Eli that I was going out of town for a week at new years and wanted to make arrangements if necesarry for the car while gone. Well i called 3 times and never spoke to Eli or got a call back. While away on vacation I called and left 2 messages for Eli which were never returned. ONCE home I called in @10am and Eli was not in yet. I Transferred over to service who said the car was getting tinted and would be done this afternoon. I called back 2 hours later and Eli still was not available. Steve at service was most helpful in telling me that the car had just got back and was being cleaned and should be ready in an hour. ELi still never called but I did get a call to notify me of the car coming back in the morning. A bit skeptical of the "6 hour detail" that was done in 2 tops, I Was still happy to finally get my car back. Once he arrived with the car in the morning I immedeatly noticed that the tow cover on front bumper wasnt replaced and the car was dirty all around. The interior was dusty and it appeared as if they did a quick vaccuum job only. THE Driver said he would get the part sent over. I called ELi later that day to verify the part but he was still unavailable. The part did show up in the mail but Eli has yet to call me back. WHen I did get the part, there was a piece of paper in the package. The paper seemed to be a document that only Steve Radican would have access to. It showed where he sold one car for a commission of $2750.00. Not sure why this was included besides to rub in my face the money he made off me with doing no work!! Its a shame because they do have alot of nice cars for decent prices but the service sucks. For the Manager to take control of the sale and make sure I was taken care of sounded great and just proved more frustrating in the end.

Stay far, FAR away. They made buying my dream car a complete nightmare. At first, their service was excellent (I worked with Ralph). They returned all of my calls and emails promptly, and answered all of my questions. Everything went downhill once I paid them. My calls were no longer returned in a timely manner, and it seemed like I couldn't get a hold of anyone there. I was waiting on them to ship the car out to me, and had arranged with an auto carrier to deliver the car. Ralph had told me it would be a couple of weeks, so they could "inspect" the car, detail it (I was told there were some small paint chips), and fix the glove compartment which was locked shut. No problem, since Illinois was still covered in snow anyway. THE TITLE: The car arrived, but I had received no title. I called numerous times requesting that I be sent my title overnight. Ralph had mentioned that the title was electronically filed in Florida. Well, in Illinois they require the actual paper title in order to register the car (if you are buying out of state, watch out for this). It took me two weeks to get my title, not so much because they were slow, but because they had forgotten about it. Yes, very organized.... When I finally spoke to a receptionist who hunted Ralph down for me (I wasn't getting my calls returned), they began to ship out the title. They got my address wrong twice, which further delayed shipment. THE KEY: I also had to get a new set of keys made, since they did not include two keys (as customary at dealerships) and my fob did not work properly. Receiving my refund for the price of this took entirely too long, and again, my calls were rarely returned. But I did get my refund, after a month of waiting and calling. AND SOME OTHER PROBLEMS: There were a couple of things wrong on the car that I was not told about. The hazard light button was punched into the dash, the emergency brake button was broken off, and the lighter receptacle did not work. The interior was very poorly detailed. But hey, the glove compartment was fixed as promised................. And now I find out (not even six months later) that the alignment was very bad (pigeon-toed) which ruined my tires, and that the oil was changed incorrectly (the filter caused a leak all over). None of these issues are major, they aren't a big deal. However, I would expect much better service for the premium paid (I paid more than the car's value, since price was not much of an issue). Very poor service, just stay away at all costs. You can find your car elsewhere if you prefer not to struggle with these guys. 10/19/2015 UPDATE: Just an update to my previous review, because this place sold us a real lemon!! A couple weeks ago I also found out that the synchros on the transmission (this is a manual) are completely worn out. This was a track car, and has been raced into the ground before being sold to Spanos. They never looked into this issue, and never did any sort of inspection on the transmission. I took this to my very awesome local dealership - the cost is almost as much as what I paid for the car (runs around $12,000). I am going to fix this, because this is my dream car and I plan on holding on to it. But again. Avoid Spanos at all costs and buy only at your brand's local dealership, you'll find yourself buying a money pit otherwise. read more

Overall this has been the worst car experience that I have even been through. I will have to say, they have some great salesmen. People who can sell water to a wishing well, but when it comes to service, let just say I rather take my chances with a 3yr old. Spanos Motors is by far the worst I have ever dealt with as far as trying to communicate with. The sad thing is they have an attitude when you are asking questions about you purchase or you have been trying to reach a particular person for days Its as if you are aggravating them. I bought my 2011 Dodge RAM from them almost 6 months ago. Since then, I've had nothing but problem after problem after problem. I have tried to call the shop several times to schedule and appointment, being that I don't live in Daytona, Guess what , they never called back to schedule. I have tried to call to speak with the General Manager several times as well. I guess the Manager is always on vacation or a meeting because no one can ever get a hold of him. It's funny when you call 2 weeks straight and get the same answer. So since my purchase, I have had to change the fuel, pump, fuel filter, crank shaft sensor, the ECM chip, the TIPM Chip ( that is the fuse box that sits under the hood.) 2 fuel injectors, and now my catalytic converter. Totaling almost 3500 dollars in repairs. Oh, I forgot to mention, there was an aftermarket alarm on my truck that no one new how to replace the remote fob. When I told that I was having electrical problems they told me that I was one over my 30 days so there was nothing they could do about it uness I wanted to pay to get it looked at by there shop, which no one called back to schedule. Honestly I wouldn't even trust the shop to fix the truck because it should be running a lot better since they are suppose to be a Carfax Certified dealer. I guess they missed a few things right. LOL.. NO! they missed a lot. Please be careful of what you buy from this company.. Everything that looks good aint always good!! trust and believe.. As I am thinking about it. When I first bought the truck, I requested to have my tires replaced because they were all bald, I asked to have my brakes replaced, and well as my inserts for my foot rails replaced. Well I don't know how you order the the wrong part 4 different times but it happened. and it took them almost a month and a half to replace my tires. They never replaced my brakes. I don't even think they checked my brakes. They told me the noise I was hearing was because of the dust that falls off the brakes when being used They sprayed something on it to stop the squeaking. I just laughed. By the way, they didn't correct that issue either. I ended up going to dodge to get my breaks done correctly. The shop manager was getting mad with me because I called every day to check on my parts that they promised. That's my thoughts on Spanos Motors. read more
