Really laid back place. Perfect for us. We happen to connect with the owners and brewers and loved the conversation. Really cool interior as well. Lots of seating options, lots of room for larger crowds and a decent outdoor space as well. They had several sour beer options which always is a plus in my book. My guy enjoyed several IPAs with zero complaints. The beer tender was fabulous, attentive and offered several suggestions. Always a plus. If we lived in town, we'd be here regularly for sure. read more

something about the last few brewerys that we've been too, it's always fucking trivia night. well, we were in Alamosa for one night and this place was on my list of places to try and low and behold, we walk in and it's goddamn trivia night. ARGH. there did happen to be 1 bar stool at the end of the bar, and a kind man who happened to be from Kansas no doubt who stood up and gave the JW his seat, and i then had my sampler platter of beer and some tasty snack mix as well. the beer was wonderful and we enjoyed everything exept the trivia. the guy at the bar also happened to be working the next morning when we stopped in for coffee. the coffee needs work. all in all, for a tiny mountain town, this place is pretty darn good, i would highly recommend a stop in if yo're driving through. read more

Beer was okay, but staff was super friendly & they allow dogs inside which is a HUGE plus!! Definitely recommend.

My first time here but it's a cool space. Plenty of brews to pick from with various styles. If you come with your crew they've got various table sizes and a decent assortment of board games to enjoy. Happy drinking! read more

Loved this place!! Great relaxing (and dog friendly) atmosphere. We were here twice while camping in the area. Great Avalanche Red and Nitro Stout!!! (Also sampled a few other delicious brews!) Bartenders were hard working, friendly, and very helpful when deciding on which of the wonderful brews to get a pint (or two) to choose from!! Will definitely return on our way through Alamosa next time! 5 stars for sure! read more

Hopped over here after having a beer at San Luis Valley. Small selection of beer but nice variety. I had a lager which was ok and my husband had the PB stout which he LOVED (comparing it to DBC which was a high bar IMO). I'm giving this place 4 stars because the bartender was great and he sanitized every table quickly after parties left. Was in town prior to Rales and Ales and decided to give this place a try. The location is great, inside an old, who knows what, gives you pause and a fun time to try and figure it out. Most of their options are hoppy which is great for some, but not for me. The summer wheat was pretty pedestrian and really needed more bubbles to make it the perfect porch pounder! Staff was somewhat friendly and educated us on how it all worked with the brewing etc. read more

The Colorado Common is my favorite beer I've ever had. Seriously, it's amazing. I've always had great service and I love the "coffee shop" atmosphere. It's great to take a laptop and get work done while having a beer (oh and free WiFi). read more

It's so refreshing to have a brewery in Alamosa with great quality beer AND staff! The owners are hard working and giving back to their community is important to them. They don't serve food which allows you to focus more on their beer, and you can bring in your own food from anywhere else in town. Lots of games and open space to play. This is the place to sample some beers. No frills nothing extra. It's clean open air and well staffed. They don't serve food and they don't have a lot of decorations up but they don't need all that other stuff. They have what they need, good weather good beer good service. Great place to stop after dinner or to just burn an hour or two for the fun of it. read more

Pretty much bare bones atmosphere and they don't serve food. The beers we had were really good, we bought a couple growlers to take home. We did really enjoy the laid-back attitude, there were a couple dogs inside and that didn't seem to be an issue. I would absolutely go back. The anomaly of the place is that they recommended we try out the new brewpub down the road. There are three brewpubs in Alamosa and these guys, at leas,t obviously support that if one wins they all win. read more
