This is an okay local spot if you want to avoid the drive to DB's or Main Event. We went on a Friday night around 8pm and the place wasn't to busy. We were told there would be a 2 hour wait for the lane, but it only took about 45 minutes. Good selection of local beers and the food is so-so. **WARNING** My biggest tip is know the dress code before you go. This being our first time we didn't know guys couldn't wear sleeveless shirts. The manager came and politely made us aware of this and then pretty much said "ya gotta go." Luckily my boyfriend had a change of clothes in the car. Absolutely The Worst! DO NOT BOOK A PARTY WITH THEM!! I booked a birthday party for 2 lanes in the Pin House for my own birthday party. I paid for 1/2 of it up front and the other half when we got there. Somehow I keep getting calls from their events management saying that I didn't pay for the other half of my party. Which I did!!! After two calls and a lot of inconvenience and simple research they could have done themselves now they have one pissed off customer who will never go there again!!! Shockingly they did find my charge which was for the other 1/2 and two pairs of bowling shoe rentals. Apparently they could only search for any additional totals ... that would have required cognitive thinking. Because they can't train their staff properly to manage events the way they need isn't my fault or anyone else booking a party. I would 100% never recommend this place!!! Absolutely Ridiculous!!! Don't harass your patrons because you can't manage your books properly! read more

Game Players - BEWARE!!! My son was playing a "wheel" game in the arcade and he won 1,000 points. Although, the game displayed the points earned when he went to cash out for prizes they did not honor the points earned. Even though we had 2 other witnesses to see the points he had actually won, it didn't matter. The management refused to honor those points therefore going home with a very sad and disappointed child. Really, what would it have costs them to honor 1,000 points to exchange for candy??? Doing the "right thing" was the point here and obviously this wasn't their mission. Had my grandsons birthday party at Spare Time and everyone had the best time. From start to finish the experience was wonderful. The hostesses were awesome. The pizza was very tasty, the bowling was fun, game area was enjoyable as well as the laser tag. Thank you Spare Time Texas for making this a day my grandson will never forget!! Well not much more to add than most of the other reviews. Bowling alleys were nice and not crowded when we went. The staff did not cut us off (time) when our group was entering the 9th frame of our second game. That was nice. Food was below local fast food fare. McDonald's and Whataburger are far better. Staff was very nice and friendly but disorganized. Arcade was odd. Not sure what it is trying to do. It is a mix mash of games. More for younger kids which is at odds since the venue has a bar. Main Event is better for a similar business. Mel's in Georgetown is a better bowling alley with (actually) good food. read more

I don't live close. Easy to find. Parking is ok, well lit at night. Easy to navigate while inside. Plenty of games. I don't care for the 2 different bowling alley sections. I don't wanna be with all this kids but I don't wanna be secluded. The balls were ok, not a lot of size and weight options. Food was good. Service while bowling was hit and miss. The food was beyond horrible my friends and I came out to have a great night but were disappointed . The food was burned they messed up the orders didn't bring out the drinks brought one side out after the bowling game and it was beyond crap. We were disgusted and on top of that they wanted us to pay for the food we didn't even eat which was most of it and there were 4 of us. I hate to say it but there food is as bad as McDonald's. They rushed everything didn't even take my husband's order and the service was terrible too. I most definitely won't be coming back here. The manager was nice and somewhat helpful but that's about it. Such a disappointing night they need to hire people that can actually cook because you gotta be pretty dumb to burn chips. Great place for family with kids completed with bowling alley, arcade and laser tag. The foods are good here. We ordered chips & queso, wings, cheese pizza and funnel cake. We had my son's 6th bday party here and I've got to say WOW! It was so organized and the perfect entertainment for a bunch of 6 year olds (and some older siblings too!) Yes, it was a little pricey for 15 kiddos, BUT you get what you pay for. We had 2 dedicated hostesses that took care of us every step of the way. From an hour of bowling on 3 different lanes, to pizzas, drinks, cake & presents in a party room the gals helped us with EVERYTHING and that, my dears, is priceless! Laser tag was a ton of fun, we hadn't played since we were kids and the 2-story course had tons of obstacles and running around -- we were sore the next day. We went yesterday. My daughter got sick (nothing to do with the place) and threw up. The workers kept joking about it, making gagging sounds laughing and arguing over who was going to clean up to the point my daughter started crying because she felt like she was being made fun of (she's 10). She has apologized several times like it's really her fault that she got sick. She even offered to clean up her own mess. I'm appalled that the workers acted like this with management right there and nothing was said. We won't be back. read more

Best money I have spent on a birthday party. 10 teenagers entertained for 5 hours with bowling, laser tag and video games. Also included in my teen pack was great food and drinks. The staff was exceptional, we never waited longer than 2 minutes for anything. Management was always available for any questions we had. Worst bowling alley ever. We went couple night with another couple. The guy was awesome when we "checked" in. From there it was a steady DOWN FALL. ...our screen didn't work on lane 14 (and they just opened less than a month ago!). The service was TERRIBLE! The waiter took forever to come over then didn't know the beers or drinks....we had to walk to the bar to look....then when we ordered instead of carding us then and there he walked away...came back 5 minutes later asked for our id....then another 5 minutes for 2 beers (bottle!)....we ordered appetizers. ...they forgot the salsa and we had to find someone else to get it. Overall I was NOT impressed and will NOT refer people. Was so excited about this place too. read more

The first two times we went were great. We went into the 'adults only' Pinhouse area, which was nice because it's much calmer than the regular alleys. The lanes are in great shape compared to other places, the servers were very attentive, and they even gave us five extra minutes for free to finish our last game. This time let us down though. They have this weird system where you walk in and there's a desk with two employees that seem to serve no purpose other than direct people where to go. Then you go to another counter with three people to check in and assign lanes. Tonight this area was chaos. The girl handling the group in front of us kept having to walk away to ask questions because it didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. She didn't even know what the wait time for the Pinhouse would be. There's another associate at a different register and then there's this third girl just standing in between the registers doing nothing except getting in the other people's way. Add to all this typical rude teenagers hanging around and people trying to cut in line and people who "just want to ask a quick question" and it just becomes craziness. A large group comes in, who I guess had a reservation and instead of us being checked in next, they get to cut the line and get helped instead. We've been waiting in line for probably twenty minutes at this point. I understand that having a reservation or a party room or something gets you special treatment, but it is SUPER frustrating to think you're finally going to get helped at peak times to then be told to wait behind a party of ten people. We continue to wait and then the people in front of us start complaining about not having two lanes all to themselves and at that point I was done. We left. I don't understand why there are only two registers. I don't understand why it takes ten minutes to check in for an hour of bowling. I don't understand why they have two employees dedicated to standing by the front door saying hi when those people could be helping the line. Ultimately very frustrating. I hope the service isn't always this bad when they're busy because I really enjoyed the last two times we went. I love the actual alleys and bowling but there has to be a better way to handle getting people in. Maybe next time will be better. read more

I can't say enough good things about spare time. We've been a number of times and always so pleased. We've gone as a family and as part of birthday celebrations. Every time it's been a blast. The facility is very clean, the games work and aren't constantly broken. They change and add games often so that's nice. The food is good and the staff is always friendly. When offering a package deal to a group, explain the entire package. Thought we had unlimited bowling package only to be told that unlimited within a rotation of other groups. Seriously? Bowl one round and forced to go back onto waiting list if we want to continue bowling. That is not unlimited. While speaking to the manager about the true meaning of unlimited, other families were being duped as well. Instead of purchasing a package deal, money can and will be saved by paying for one hour of bowling. We were excited about this place but will continue to go to Main Event or Dave and Buster's until this place works out their kinks and can explain package deals properly. read more

Spare time is absolutely horrible! I have tried to give this place a chance after a miserable first time. You are guaranteed to wait hours for a lane. The children who coordinate the front desk are completely disorganized and obviously lack communication between each other. The bar, absolutely Dreadful!!! If you go to the bar only get beer. The bartenders cannot make a drink to save their lives! Also, there is a dress code. Which is understandable but it is way too excessive. If you want a good bowling experience, I highly recommend MELs in Georgetown. read more

So me and my wife checked this place out on Wednesday night, about three days after opening. When we got here the staff had no idea how too get us a lane or how the specials worked. I asked for a military discount (most places give free shoes) and was shot down. Got too our lane and pressed the service button for drinks and it took 15 minutes too get someone, and that only happened because I grabbed someone. Bowling was good and pricing is ok. Got the funnel cake fries and they were the best part. Service was good a guy named Josh took my order and was on his "A" game. I might go back but I wouldn't go out of my way. read more

Very unimpressed with this place, which sucks because I had high hopes for it! The bathrooms were filthy! Used paper towels over flowing the trash bins and all over the floor. We got a ticket to the the 3:15 laser tag and was asked to do the 3:45 one because it got too full? Ok, isn't it your job to make sure you don't overbook?
