Spare time is a lot of fun. We go occasionally. They offer specials on weekdays, check website for that. Also, we had many birthday parties to attend here that we decided to have one for our son this year. Party was great. Everything was set up, no hassle for the parents. Staff is nice and polite, never had any issues.

Fun place to go bowling and play arcade games! Would recommend going on a random weekday if you want to avoid crowds. The Wizard of Oz coin game is so addicting!!

Went to go bowling, but with over a two hour wait, we opted for food and games. A pleasant time had by all. Great atmosphere for family fun.

Go kart racing, arcade games, bowling, an obstacle course -- something for everyone regardless of age or size. We spent an entire afternoon here creating memories with endless laughter while testing our physical aptitudes. Pack the family into the cars and make your way over to Spare Time. You can thank me later.

My wife and I had a date night this past week and decided to bowl and play some pool. This was our first time at Spare Time Texas--it's always been a place we pass by when we grocery shop at the Wal-Mart nearby. We decided to give it a try. We came on a Tuesday and were lucky enough to take advantage of their Tuesday 1/2 off deals. We paid a super low amount to play pool and bowl. Walking inside it gave us Dave and Buster's vibes--they have a great arcade area, a dining area, laser tag, a couple spots for pool tables and two areas for bowling. It was an open space, a lot of room for a lot of people. They have an online reservation option for bowling that I would highly recommend people utilize, otherwise you may be waiting a while. If you're open to taking advantage of the place's other activities then you'll be fine, but if it's bowling you just want to do, make that online reservation! There are only two pool tables available, so if it's pool you're looking for, you may not get a table if you go on a busy day. We played pool for about 45 minutes before we were called for our bowling lane. We were out in a special room where the lanes have light displays and the music is loud--it was great!!! It was just my wife and I, but we'll definitely bring a group of friends the next time. They had couch-like seating at each lane and servers were coming and going with drinks and food. We didn't order any food this time around, but it looked like your typical "bar foods"--wings, fries, etc. and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Maybe next time. Overall we appreciated the affordable pricing and the vibe. We'll be back to check out its other offerings and maybe to try the food.

Lots of different activities are available, including axe throwing, bowling, an arcade, pool, and monthly trivia nights. We've been to several trivia nights (Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars) and they were each fun and challenging. The host is great. Service during trivia is hit or miss if the room is full and everyone shows up at the same time. We waited over an hour once to get our food. The food is just okay. The custom trivia drinks were the most fun out of the whole menu.

Went on MLK day and they open business as us usual am also honor their weekly special. Renting shoes is $4 and per game per person is $4.50. We did not know it is per person per game, so it can get pricy this way. They do have some really good packages across the week and I have attached a picture of it. Inside they have bowling, arcade games, laser tags and the area is really spacious! We ordered an appetizer sampler and it's delicious! Their honey sirachi boneless wing is so crispy and juicy! The mozzarella sticks are a bit cold when they come. I would definitely suggest this place and you should go at one of their deal time to save some bucks! Great activity for super cold or hot days.

Been here a few times and I'm still happy with the time spent here. Kids are always having fun. I do think it's a little pricey and it seems like the food service needs more people. Other than that. Their food is of great quality. And they have deals going all the time. Today's deal with Labor Day is unlimited bowling incl shoes rental, laser tag, and videos for I believe $18 till 5 pm. Pretty good deal!!! The Pizza was $18 and on Monday's they have $5 margarita's in plain, mango, strawberry, and pomegranate. Mango is good. Pomegranate is really tart... and I've reached my max.

3rd date night in the week and we had a blast. Almost felt like luck to get a lane so late on a Friday night. It is best to come by 10 for the 11 rush and specials. The service was good and the overall setup is pretty nice. They do turn off the lights as well and that is where it was challenging for me to play with all the lights flashing but it was super fun.

My family and I went to Spare Time early on a Saturday morning and we had an amazing time! All the employees were super friendly and helpful. The manager, Zach, was kind enough to show us around and kept checking in on us. We spent the morning playing laser tag (sooo much fun) and checking out the awesome arcade they have. We then had lunch at Shakers, which - if you have not had Shakers wings - you, my friend, are MISSING OUT!! They are the absolute best!!! We got two different flavors and Chef Kent even came out and brought us a side of Angry Sauce (hot) to try! After our delicious lunch we bowled and had a blast. As far as upholding Co-vid precautions, this place is top notch. They have all queues marked for social distancing, hand sanitizer readily available, as well as wipes at the arcade.

Whiskey Cake has been on my list of places to try…read more I was in Round Rock today, so today was the day! I entered in, and just to the left, a host greeted me in. I said this was my first time here, and that I was excited to try them. She was super polite, very friendly. She sat me at a booth. She walked away for a quick minute and came back with a water glass and a small pitcher of ice cold water. My server came around. And gave me my menu and said you gotta try the whiskey Cake. Cake? Did someone say cake? Yes please. With cake on my mind. I thought I better balance this out. So I played it safe and got the grilled chicken salad. Also she said everything is house made from scratch, such as the cocktails, juice, salad dressing and so on. I did order a juice from the bar. It was the Jessica Wabbit with mint, carrot, lime, ginger, and some other flavors. The drink was handed to me first. Lovely flavors, could taste the fresh mint, fresh ginger. A little sweetness with the pineapple. Brilliant mix of flavors. The salad was very large. Dressing was fresh, rich with basil and garlic. Chunks of bacon and wedges of hard boiled eggs, avocado chunks, blue cheese scattered around, and the grilled chicken, warm juicy and beautifully chard. Love that charred flavor. The salad dressing was really delectable. Wonderful salad. Next came the whiskey cake. This cake should be its own food group. The cake itself has a beautiful flavor, it's a little dense, in a good way. The sauce is outstanding, it's toffee and sweet. Heavenly really. Pecans on top are spiced. I could only eat half of the cake. I'll snack on that later tonight. The food was outstanding. I would love to come back and try other food items. Service was perfection. I had so many wonderful conversations with everyone I came in contact with. I was wished well by everyone I passed by. Even in the bathroom, the host was coming out and she asked how my visit was. I mean, just the most genuine southern hospitality. Top notch service! Parking lot was packed. And they do have a pretty large lot all around the building. So you know this has to be The Place for an afternoon lunch or family dinner.

The whiskey cake is probably this restaurant's saving grace as the cake is decadent moist, and the combination of the pecans with the caramel and the whipped cream all just make it so delicious. It was definitely worth the wait to have it at the end and in retrospect, it probably would have done well to have first since the food that we ordered was a little more on the lackluster side. I found it hard to be impressed by the prime rib and Gouda stack as they were no defining flavors for this rather expensive sandwich and the mac and cheese was also not very memorable. When it comes to the service provided at the restaurant, there were many times where it felt as though our table had been forgotten to be waited upon, despite there not being many other people at the restaurant. Overall, I think my experience at Whiskey Cake was OK and while I may not return for the food necessarily, I would for the cake.

Chicken quesadilla was great. Seasoned waffle fries with gringo dip was also very good. Not so good: Management. I ordered a double Jack and Coke in a short glass. I deliberately mentioned the short glass to the waitress, in spite of the fact that a typical double whiskey and Coke drink comes in a short glass. Unfortunately she didn't catch the ask for short glass (she said she'd never had someone yet ask for that order, but I think she meant at this restaurant). Someone delivered a tall glass instead. I asked our waitress to give me a short glass and she tried to do so. When she came back she said the manager wouldn't let her, which was weird, so I asked to see the manager. Josh. Josh did not handle the interaction well in my opinion. In his opinion it was the same alcohol in a short or tall, so he thought I should just drink the tall. That's obviously not a great experience. Ultimately after a (too) long discussion he didn't charge for the drink. But the experience was ruined for us and since this was our first visit to this location it was simply a bummer and we likely won't be back.

I am so torn on this place. My friends and I were looking for a cute spot for a moms night out…read more(just 3 of us). We decided to make a reservation at Odds Bar and give it a try. Arrived right on time and the parking lot was PACKED, though the restaurant appeared nearly empty except for a loud networking event going on in a devoted side room open to the main area. No one at the desk to greet us, just a sign to seat ourselves, so we did. Guess reservations don't really matter? It was quite a while before anyone approached us, but when a server finally came he was very nice and helpful. We ordered drinks and entrees. It took an ABSURD amount of time before the drinks came out...maybe because of the event? Not sure. The bar and restaurant seemed nearly empty otherwise and the bartender didn't look busy or rushed at all. Luckily we had intended to make a night of it, so we were able to wait. It was hard to hear each other talk, though, due to the networking event. When the drinks finally came, mine was AMAZING. Like, one of the best drinks I've had in Austin, and maybe one of the best of my life? Weeks later I'm still thinking about it. I got the Going Bananas and it was simple perfection. The food also took a while to come out, but at least we had drinks to tide us over. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and was disappointed. The toppings were spare and didn't offer much to elevate the dish, and the chicken itself, while tasty, was very dry in parts, to the extent where I was dipping it in ketchup to get it to go down easy. The bun and fries were good. Our server seemed to have evaporated into thin air after delivering food, so we had no water refills and had to vye for attention to pay the check. Eventually the bartender came and helped us pay, and seemed terse and annoyed when we asked to split our check. (Three middle-aged women...seems more likely a split than combined?) All in all, we were there about 3 hours total, mostly because service took so long. Such a bizarre experience. I would NOT come here if you are on any kind of timeline. The only way I'll come back is to sit at the bar and have drinks only.

Our server was Chase, who was very knowledgeable about the menu and took ownership of the whole experience. You can tell he enjoys being there. No puddings, and regular bacon instead of rashers, but otherwise super traditional and fantastic. The bangers stood out - YUM. We also got some candied bacon for fun which made the whole meal even more excessive, haha. It was superb, and a generous portion that the two of us easily shared. I'm hooked.
