Outside portion a little hot on summer days, but perfect for evenings and other seasons. Indoor cool AC. Was not crowded on a weekday afternoon, I am sure it gets busy on the weekends. Staff were friendly. They kindly refilled ice waters multiple times and held doors anytime they were coming in or out for others. The batting cages are a little wonky--you def have the possibility of being hit by a ball. Thankfully they are not real baseballs, lol. The mini golf course is pretty new and nice. They do actively spray what appears to be pesticides as people are playing though. They seem to have a nice variety of food and beverages though we did not have any. The people at the front were very helpful and nice. They said waiting for a bowling lane on a Saturday would take about 30 minutes but then only took 15 minutes. We usually get greeted by a server within 5 minutes of getting to our lane. After about 10 minutes I wanted to order a drink so I pressed the 'call server' button on the pad. After about 5-10 minutes of waiting we still didn't have a server come up to us. This whole time I can see the servers talking in a group through the window. I get if they were busy but they were just talking. I then walked to the bar to order my own drink. As I walk back with our drinks I see the servers talking finally at the table. Attended a large event here with the Central Texas Apartment Association, and I was very pleased with our experience. It's a really fun spot to hang out, and there is lots to do. On this particular occasion we did bowling and then spent about an hour playing arcade games of which there are plenty! Service was ok-I know it's hard when it's a large group. Had to ask for drinks a few times, but other than that everything was fine. We had a smorgasbord of food (Pizza, Wings, Mozzarella Sticks, etc) and it was average-very typical bar food so expectations weren't super high. Spare Time is a place you want to go. It is like going on a vacation but not having to leave town. This facility has almost every activity you can think of: arcade, bowling, laser tag, ropes courses, go carts, etc. It is like an amusement park minus the roller coasters AND it is reasonably priced. HIRE MATURE EMPLOYEES. i am in costumer service myself and i was astonished by the horrible costumer service. me and my friends came for my best friends 18th birthday, specifically to ride go karts and play laser tag. while the employee ashton at the laser tag front desk was the coolest, and sweetest instructor ever the 2 women at the go kart counter were not. me and my friends were confused about the process of trying to get on the go kart whilst being under 18. the girls had an attitude the entire time and eventually just bluntly ignored us. so my friend said "well i guess there ignoring us so let's go" as we were turning around to leave we see a manager walk out, as well as the guardian we were with. the manager proceeded to have a private conversation with our guardian, and a lady at the front desk. whilst this was going on, keep in mind we have no idea what this is for (we think they're discussing us being able to get on the ride) the other lady said "he doesn't need all y'all over there" and my friend stated she didn't have to be rude as the tone came off like she was irritated. this caused a whole situation, that led us to be denied service and have to talk to 2 managers. The lady at the go kart desk that was not spoken to at all, claimed we made fun of her appearance. she claims we mocked her face, due to her condition she explains. this never happened, not even close to anything that happened.she was telling our guardian this, then came back and continued to giggle and make comments such as "her ass is flat anyway". then we were told we were denied service and "either y'all don't ride or yall leave". so we tried talking to another manager, and yet again were threatened to get kicked out. Then our guardian finally talked to the girl who claimed we were mocking her and she continued to change her story and direct her anger at certain people and only let half of the group on. then continues to put the blame on 2 certain people. i am very disappointed on how this was handled, i will contacting the owner tomorrow. read more

We have been back twice since. We decided to have my son's birthday party there and no surprise, it was awesome. Their party packages are good and priced fair. The food was really good as well we had wings, sliders and Pizza and a few other items as well as beverages for both the children and the parents. I think our host were new but they made a great effort and for is that's what counts for us. Doesn't have to be perfect but as long as you try we are happy. The kids had a blast of bowling playing video games. My son's party were four and five year olds so we didn't do the outside adventure or laser tag because of their height. On that note we have gone back again for my daughter who had a small get together with her friends for her birthday and they did go out side on the obstacle courses and go karts and bowling. Took my family out here to spare time because my kids wanted to go bowling. Bowling alleys are few and far between around this area. You either go to Killeen or Temple to bowl. Since we live in this area we decided to try this place out. This place is like a small Dave and busters but I think they are better! The staff are very attentive and always asking if we needed something. I don't know if it's because we came during the afternoon but they were awesome! Only thing I would ask for are the helpers for bowling. Those helper ramps are only for physically challenged. It would be cool to have some for the little ones that wanna bowl too. The facility itself is pretty cool - lots of options - kinda pricey. But the customer service or shall I say lack of, is the reason for a one star rating. Very difficult to find anyone if you need assistance. And when you do find someone you end up with a snot who is more interested in her phone than helping you. This is our third time being to this location recently, and by far the worst. Last time we came, it was the night of a special and we came right when the specials started and it was "league night". There were no lanes open to bowl at all. Probably shouldn't have a special going on for a league night. This time, we came during a booked party that ended an hour into the special timing. We wait the hour in the parking lot to be let in and then are greeted by a very rude cashier. As we were checking out, the manager came up and told her that she should've charged us extra for being in the PIN house. Totally valid, but probably shouldn't cut into the time of the special if you're gonna be charging people for the full price. Upon getting to our lane, everything was fine. Our server took a little bit of time to get to us, but that's to be expected as they had recently finished this party that they had booked out. Not even 30 minutes into our playing, the rude cashier comes up and asks us if we'd be willing to move two lanes over as this lane had been reserved prior to our arrival and they had made a mistake. While all this was happening, not only did our balls get stuck but also the machine resetting the pens kept getting jammed. Each time took multiple minutes to fix. We told her we had every intention of leaving at the end of that second round. Not even five minutes later another person working for the company comes up and asks us if we would be willing to move again. We reiterated that no, we have not had a good time and we are leaving at the end of our round which is only three frames left. This is the second person that we have voiced our frustrations with and then we also voice with our server after that. The manager then walks up to us ignores us and moves onto the next lane to ask how their experience is going. We gave three people the opportunity to make this right. They had no intentions of doing so. We have been to the other location multiple times and never had this issue with scheduling conflicts or the lack of integrity by staff. With that said, I believe we've given this location a fair chance. Not worth returning. We'll make the drive to Pflugerville instead. Best of luck, Spare Time Temple. read more

First off, let me just do a big shout out to Al. He's one of the managers here and he is one of the most wonderful, pleasant person/manager I've ever met. Our family and their friends went here today to celebrate my nephew and niece's bday. Now, my sister in law spoke to one of the personnel here, and verified that she didn't have to book or make a reservation for her party and that they can just go ahead and come. She made sure that it was verified, so the day before today, she called again and sure enough, she was told the same thing... fast forward to today, we got there with our party that came from 40 min to an hour drive away and was told that there was a league and that we couldn't bowl today. We were all upset and one of the girls that work there was not very helpful either. I then went to speak to Al, who is the acting manager tonight and he was very apologetic and was very accommodating. Needless to say, he was able to accommodate our party and went over and beyond to make us feel like we were family and welcomed. Will definitely come back to have our parties here again.
