I was here for a group event in the back bowling room. It is one of the fanciest bowling alleys I've been to!!! The private room has space for bowling and dining. The pizzas and salad were tasty! Our server was prompt in ordering us fountain drinks. We went on a Tuesday meaning $2 tuesdays!!! I had a $2 blue moon which is hard to come by. The arcade games were fun but I would say they need to step their game up on their winner's circle gift shop. I ended up getting 2 small slime packs and a silly green ball for my niece and nephew which they loved. I would love to see more adult appropriate prizes to attract the crowd we brought in for bowling. Overall a good experience! read more

Very disappointed in this establishment. Visiting friends and wanted to bring all of the kids here for a Sunday funday. Started with laser tag, which didn't last long enough for the price you pay...then paid for bowling at 1245 and paid the Sunday funday price, so we thought and were asked hour many hours and we said 2, since we had 6 people, figured we would get 2 games out of it. Our timer only said 1 hour and when we asked about it we were told Sunday funday ends at 1 so we shouldn't even be bowling right now, mind you, we started at 1245. Were told that they would add a few minutes at the end so we could finish our 1 game. Lack of communication between management, cashiers and customers is part of the problem. It was almost as if they didn't care at all when we explained the situation. Then you get 10 minutes for go carts and it's single riders so that limits who can actually ride which sucks since my daughter is 53 inches not 54. They will never get our business ever again, nor business from my friends or anyone that asks our opinion. read more

This place is so much fun! Their games are kind of pricy but they have better prizes then most places. Bowling alley is perfect. I love that if you have a child, the lane will automatically put up bumpers and when their turn is over, the bumpers go down! I have never seem that before. It was perfect for my daughter. My family and I go bowling here every Sunday. The food is always fresh, the employees are very personable and accommodating! We love the prices and the atmosphere. There is also laser tag and plenty of arcade games to choose from. If you wanted to host your kiddos birthday party they also have rooms you can reserve! Went to have a beer and hang out with a friend of ours who is deploying after this weekend and we asked to get more time. Since we didn't get to even finish a full game since our time ran out. This place was offering an all-you-can-bowl/laser tag/arcade for $15.99/person following the 4th of July. We had a blast. It definitely helps to have the separate room that is 21+ after 11PM. Keeps out the rug rats while you're trying to have some adult fun! The VIP room had great music, big TVs with music videos, and servers that bring libations and food to your lane. Bowling is expensive here unless you can score on a day with specials. You can't even finish a game if your time runs out. Most places we've been to will let you do so if no one is waiting for your lane. We decided not to play in the arcade because many of the machines were down. Pizza tastes like a frozen product. The reason it was four is because I waited at the register (for food) and no one came to help me and several employees past me. Extremely disappointed with our visit. Was visiting my friend in temple from Austin and wanted to take her little brother to an arcade. Everything was going fine at first- good drinks, good food, fun bowling, then we went to play games. A manager approached me and told me my shorts were "against dress code." I was extremely confused - My shorts were in no way inappropriate. Maybe I'm just from Austin or something, but she told me I had to change my shorts or leave. I told her I drove here from Austin and I don't have any other pants, so she proceeded to escort us out. This was very upsetting - we were very excited to take her little brother to play games, and he was very upset because he didn't understand why we couldn't stay. I was appalled at how this manager handled this situation. we approached someone at the front and explained the situation and they were very apologetic and gave us a refund. How can I give ZERO stars?! I decided to take the 45 minute drive here to meet friends so our kids could bowl and play games. My friend asked for two lanes when she paid and only got one, so I got one as well. ($45 for an hour with shoes rental, btw) We got settled into bowling ( nice bowling pods) and ordered drinks and food. My drink looked nothing like the picture and tasted so bad I had it sent back and ordered something more simple. Food was bowling alley acceptable. We were able to play one game before our time expired. The biggest issue we had was the "dress code" Women can wear tank tops, but men cannot wear tank tops. So they'll let you " borrow" a oversized t-shirt from them to cover up. Cover up what?! It's just a male tank top. ITS SUMMERTIME. Several of the arcade games were broken and the "Claw" games are a joke. It's like those gimmicky ones that close after its already dropped the toy. We finally were so glad to cash out and leave and the attendant couldn't do math. Prizes were not marked correctly and it was just a nightmare. Definitely will not recommend this to anyone ever, I wish I would have looked at the "hidden review" on this fan page before coming here. That guy was spot on. Granted, I support dress codes when they make sense and don't discriminate, but flat brim hats, cowboy hats, and camo hats were totally fine. The staff is usually pretty nice and helpful, at least in my experiences. The arcade is fair, and very easy to spend a lot of money in. The food is a little expensive for the quality but it's pretty good for a bowling place. Some of the best things about it are the daily specials. Love this place and my grandkids loved this place! 4 of us for under $50! unlimited bowling, lazer tag (had the most fun ever!) and a $10 game card per person!! Fun times! We reserved several lanes for a group event. The lanes were all ready at the time we needed them. We ended up having more people than anticipated and they gave us a few extra lanes as well. They even put a picture for our group as the background of our bowling screens. While the facility is nice, and very enjoyable; the staff needs some desperate help. When you interact so seldom you would think they would be more pleasant. It took 45 mins just to get to bowl, and yet there were 3 open lanes. Additionally, when we finally got a chance to bowl we had to reset the pins about 8 times per game. So we took the kids to Spare Time for games, food and bowling on President's Day. I think the $68 for unlimited games and bowling was just right however their system crashed and continued to crash through the evening. My kids got to play only one game and bowl a game. I asked for a complete refund and to just recharge me for the bowling. Management stood TALL and refunded everything. We're absolutely making Mondays family night at Spare Time. The food is fantastic for a bowling/gaming venue and the staff is outstanding. All of the front desk associates kept cool under fire from all of the angry parents and the wait staff was on the spot and above par for a, "Dave and Buster's" sort of place. Check them out! I went there this past weekend with my daughter & I as well as a friend and her two kids. We got their and was told the wait for a lane was 20 minutes, which was fine we put our name down and went to order food. The food was great and the service their was wonderful. We spent 30 minutes eating and went up to ask how much longer for a bowling lane. The lady advised us she miscalculated and it would be about another 20-25 minutes. Fine, accidents happen. We both got our $5 card from signing up for the emails and allowed the kids to play some arcade games, it seemed like every other game was broke. We loaded $5 more on the kids cards and let them play. 40 minutes have passed at this point and the kids were wanting a drink and a snack. We go sit back down at the food table and order drinks and some deserts. Right after we got our deserts, 20 minutes later our buzzer finally buzzed that it was our turn. 70 minutes past the original time we were told, with 3 kids 5, 4, 3 we would of loved to know this before hand to make other arrangements. We get their shoes, balls and get ready to bowl. 20 minutes into our hour we rented our lane starting having issues. The lane wouldn't set the pins down, or they got stuck. A man had to go down there and fix it. It took them 17 minutes to fix the issue. They added time back, 12 minutes. Cool whatever at this point because it's now 8:15 and we want to finish this up. Two kids got to bowl and the same issue happened again. We waiting 10 minutes and decided to turn our stuff in and leave. We paid $50 to bowl, and got to enjoy 20 minutes and not one manager or anyone else was sympathetic or tried to make it right. We will no longer be visiting this business as they do not have customer service or care for their customers. We will drive to Austin or Waco from now on. read more

As a first time visitor with two teenagers and a 5 year old in tow, not what I expected. The games are oriented for a younger age group so I wouldn't recommended it for anyone 12 and over but it depends on the child's interest of course. They have different deals that are advantageous so be sure to check those out. The kids weren't interested in bowling and the wait time was substantial therefore we opted out. The food area looked too much like a concession stand for a distance so we passed on food. The highlight of the night for them was the laser tag room. It is two stories, very small and can get crowded resulting in bumping and stepping all over everyone. The first time in there was 7 of us inside and it was okay. The second time there was almost 15 people inside kids and adults. It was too much, everywhere you turn someone was there and with minimal space to move around it was fun but more space would have made it better. There are only two colors to choose from and there are options to play individually or as a team. At the end the score is listed on an electronic scoreboard. The kids enjoyed this the most.
