When me & my little brother & my mom went there the first time. I thought we were going to have a good time having fun in this place, but I was partially wrong. For starters, some of the games here were expensive like 3 or more dollars to play. Like for the Daytona USA game, it costs $3.05 for one play. Which isn't enough since mostly people don't properly know how to play this game. Plus there are screen burns in two of the Daytona USA machines that you may see without having to look closely. The pricing of the racing game is the same as The House of The Dead: Scarlet Dawn, which is $3.05 & only gives you one play. Basically there are weapons you can choose when you start the game, which you can choose the ones that are useful or useless, which I think basically is what make this game expensive. But that doesn't mean you only get one play because of the weapons you can select, it's about the pricing of the game that only gives you one try. I would recommend lowering the price down in order for people to have more fun with the gameplay. I'm not really sure for the rest of the pricing of all the arcades, but I just recommend the owner dropping the prices of the machines. Since I'm done with the price thing, let's move on with the quality of the arcade machines. For the confidential mission one. The quality & the screen is great, but the guncon just doesn't seem to work properly. The Aim shown in the screen shakes violently even though you're holding the gun calmly. For the Star Wars arcade racer game, the screen isn't properly lit up & you can barely see what you're doing & where you're going. The rest is fine. For the house of the dead 4, the screen isn't lit up properly & the guncon barely works. The rest is fine. For my overall response, I did like this place a bit, but I just recommend fixing some troubleshooting from some arcade games, decrease the price of each play, & increase the quality of some arcade games. We thought this would be a fun time with our grandchildren. The first four out of five games we attempted had issues that made them unplayable. When we attempted to get our money back so we could take them somewhere else we were told we should have asked to have the games fixed. When we arrived there were only two employees so getting them to service all the equipment was a nonstarter. They refused to refund the money spent. We will never go to tilt again. Tilt Studio, PARTY PACKAGE WARNING: I typically don't care to be so public with my grievances, but I just wanted to put this out there for the next mom so I can maybe help her avoid this sad situation. There was no point in booking a party as a birthday package. It was a waste of money and it made me miss almost all of my son's 6th birthday party. When I arrived the day of the party, I was told that I did not have a host, even though the website states that I would. I wasn't prepared to plan the flow of the party (that's why I bought a package that included a host) and I ended up running around the whole time making several trips to the counter to get forks, extra plates, extra napkins, cake cutter (which they didn't have, so they gave me a butcher knife), lighter- all that were promised to me but no one thought to bring to the room and rounding people up for pizza because there wasn't any schedule. I asked about the pizza size when I got there, because I knew I had some hungry adolescents coming to the party and wanted to make sure I had ordered enough. I was told they were 16 slice pizzas, but in reality, they were 8 slice pizzas that were cut in slivers to make it equal 16. When they came, I had to send some people back to play while more pizza was ordered, and then go round them up when it was ready. On top of everything, no one was behind the refreshment counter, so each time I had to go get something for the party, I had to wait until someone back in the kitchen noticed that I was there to come see what I needed. There was no trashcan in the room, so dirty cups, plasticware, plates, and napkins just kept piling up which made it very uncomfortable for everyone. I'm sad that I missed most of the fun and missed out on taking pictures, I won't ever get that back. When I called the corporate office, they acted sympathetic and stated that the parties were a "cornerstone of Tilt's business" and the experience should have been different. They offered me a $50 play card, which was an insult after all the money that I spent. In hindsight, I should have invited the kids up to Tilt for his birthday and not bought the package. We could have eaten pizza in the refreshment area and sang Happy Birthday. He chose to open his birthday presents at home so he could play more, so we didn't use the room for that either. I would have saved a ton of money and I would have not missed those precious memories. Alternatively, I could have booked it at the Main Event- I've been to parties there and they've been great, and looking at the website now IT'S CHEAPER, COMES WITH MORE PLAY TIME, AND COMES WITH A HOST! Bottom line- the Tilt Studio website and the reality of the party do not align in any way, and they clearly have no desire to truly make it right with me. I hope that they take this as an opportunity for improvement but based on the lack of training and the oblivious staff, it is going to take a while for improvement. read more
