The Dayton Hotel located in downtown Savannah, GA…read more Booking: booking was really simple and seamless using the Hilton app. Parking: Ok... parking in downtown Savannah will always be a challenge however instead of paying $45 a day for valet, we use a public parking garage right across the street from the hotel for $5 a day(Saturday & Sunday). Reception: We had a really warm and welcoming reception. Check-in was easy also came with complimentary wine.... Oh, we also received a $50 credit to spend at the hotel's restaurant/Bars/Coffee shop. Room/Amenities: The room was excellent clean and well maintained, we had a Jr Suite with a queen bed. The room was comfortable also have a great view of the strip. The had rooftop bar, in house restaurant and coffee shop. The room decor gave me a modern vibe with a classic feel.

This is my second review. I originally removed my first post after management reached out to…read moreresolve the situation, but after a continuous cycle of shifting timelines and misleading information, I feel compelled to share the full experience. My AirPods were stolen by the staff here on the 17th. While I finally recovered them on the 29th, it was entirely due to my own efforts, not the hotel's. I had to file a police report and track the devices on the Find My app, watching them travel to a private residence before making their way back to the hotel days later. Getting answers from management was incredibly difficult. I was repeatedly promised callbacks--first at 3:00 PM, then at 4:00 PM--only to be completely ghosted for an entire day. Management only took the situation seriously after I posted my initial negative review. Once the review was live, the interim manager called immediately, offering 20k Hilton points as a goodwill gesture and claiming it would cover a night at "most places." Wanting to cooperate and focus on getting my property back, I agreed to take the review down. The poor communication continued with the shipping process. Management promised to overnight my AirPods the next morning, but the Find My tracking showed the AirPods still at the hotel until I followed up yet again to ask why it hadn't been dropped off at FedEx. It has now been a week since the points were promised, and they still have not arrived. When I followed up, the interim manager claimed the system takes two days to process them - meaning the request was never actually submitted when promised last weekend. Furthermore, the information provided about the loyalty program was incorrect: I was told the points do not expire, but Hilton corporate policy states they expire after 24 months of inactivity. The valuation is also incredibly misleading; 20k points does not cover a night at "most places," especially considering a single night at this exact property costs 66k points. While the staff member Michael was pleasant to deal with, the interim management team simply said whatever was necessary to get a negative review removed, with zero genuine follow-through. I highly advise travelers to keep a close eye on their belongings and be wary of management's promises.

Staff were pretty good, not perfect all around but pretty good. The Room was clean, and had everything I needed. I liked the location, and you can walk around the area as there is plenty to see and enjoy. I was here on Christmas Day and walked outside and it was nice to see a lot of other people doing the same. The concierge here was very helpful in showing me the tour options for Savannah. One stop was right down the street too. I would stay here again.

You can hear your neighbors :) It's crazy how the elevator was being serviced DURING BREAKFAST one morning and everyone had to use the stairs. It was especially bad because someone in my party needed to use a walker due to their bad knees. We had to carry the walker up and down the stairs and they were literally crawling to go up and down. I asked one of the male staff about it in the front desk and they said that there was nothing they can do and that the elevators will be both back up at 8:30 AM. We went out and took a stroll, came back around 9:00 AM and the elevators were not yet fixed. It was just ridiculous! Later on in the day, they managed to get ONE of the elevators working :) The next morning, we went to breakfast at 7 AM and everything is broken! Only one elevator is working, there is no coffee at all, no pancakes, and even the juice machine got hit! It was honestly insane. If you go on vacation, just go somewhere else.

I was extremely impressed with the JW Marriott Savannah Plant in the Riverside District. The lobby…read morewas spectacular and unlike any other lobby I've ever seen. The lobby is sensory overload when you first enter it. It's colorful with silver dinosaur bones and pterodactyls overhead. I kid you not! If that wasn't impressive enough, there are humongous crystal geodes on display. Some of the were even larger than me. There's an entrance to an African themed bar which served African inspired dishes, which I'd never had before. All this may seem like it shouldn't go together, but it does. The rooms were stylishly elegant. The bathroom is spacious and well stocked with bathrobes, slippers and quality toiletries. The beds and pillows were plush and cozy. Since we were there for a conference, the ample work area was appreciated. There is a chaise lounge right next to the window where I watched steamboats and cargo ships sail by on the Savannah River. The location was predictably right next to the river. I spent a whole day just walking on the River Walk with a variety of restaurants, dessert shops, candy stores, bars, cafes and souvenir shops. While it was geared towards tourists, which I was, I didn't have to go far from my hotel to get a taste of Savannah. There are historical buildings complete with the moss covered tress and cobblestone streets (which sounds quaint until you walk on it without twisting an ankle). Coming from hotel industry, I can appreciate a well run 5 Diamond hotel. While the stay was extra ordinary, there were a few things I wasn't fond of. The hotel has 3 parts to it. We were staying in the 3 Muses, which is a separate building and bit of a walk from the lobby. The walk isn't an easy one, which was an issue for my elderly father. Since we visited in the summer and the weather was hot and humid, walking out of the airconditioned lobby to trek over to the 3 Muses was less than ideal with my glasses fogging up at each entry and exit. But these were minor hiccups in an otherwise fantastic stay.

It only took about two minutes for us to get checked in and we got a few bottles of water and two of Doubletree's famous warm cookies. The room was nice. We had a king bed in a corner room with a city view. The room had a refrigerator, but I missed having a microwave. I am guessing that for the same reason they do not have complimentary breakfast - they want you to buy food in their restaurant. The shower had excellent water pressure, and the water was hot almost instantly. If you turn the square showerhead 90 degrees, you get a massage function. The towels were large and thick, and they happily brought us extra, along with extra pillows (although it did take three requests before they showed up). There are several nice seating areas in the lobby, including a library with a fireplace where we enjoyed having drinks with friends. The only downside that I recall, and it is no fault of the hotel, is that on Saturday night there was very loud music nearby that woke me up and kept me up for about two hours. Just a warning for weekend travelers. Another thing to note is that there is no bar food served on the weekends, according to the bartender. Kitty-corner from the hotel is a gas station with a small convenience store in case you do not bring enough snacks with you, and there is a liquor store across the street and to the right. We recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

This Hilton is in a great location, and it's really pretty…read more Unfortunately, I was placed in a room that is really close to their rooftop pool. I would think that quiet hours for the pool would be 9 PM, but apparently they aren't. I believe they are 10 PM. There was a group of what appeared to be teenagers screaming nonstop for about three hours straight. I don't know, if I was staff at a hotel, I would probably tell them to keep it down after 8 PM, but that's just me. It sounds like the rooms on the other side of the hotel are really noisy as well, so I guess moving and wouldn't have done much. The valet took a really long time in the morning. I wouldn't have minded that if they would have told us in the beginning, but when you check in, they tell you to give them five minutes to retrieve your vehicle. It took the guy 20 minutes to respond to my request (I was first in the queue) and I had to go walk down and grab the car myself because I needed to leave immediately. It sounds like he was managing two properties, so not his fault. When not knowing where the valet was, the front desk wasn't helpful. She kind of dismissed the issue. She did end up calling him, but she didn't act like she cared about our situation at all in the beginning. It actually prompted us to take action and another gentleman waiting for his car went and looked in the valet garage to see if somebody was even there because he was having the same issues. Anyways, my first and last time staying at this hotel. Too many other options in the area. I really need a reliable valet, unfortunately.

The building is historic and you can feel it when you walk around the building. The rooms were recently renovated for furniture, but they retain the historic feel to them. The bed here was very comfortable and I got a great rest here. The bathroom was also renovated and was very clean. I came here with a large party and we booked a few rooms and everyone loved it here. My son and his family had a suite with a balcony. Their room's balcony entrance was from the window. I think this is the first time I saw this setup. There was breakfast service here as well. When you come in, you sit down and right away a waitress came with a paper menu. You would fill in what you would like for breakfast and within a few minutes they brought out the food. The menu options were excellent, they had grits, oatmeal, eggs, yogurt, bacon, bagels, bread, fruit and a few more items. The breakfast really filled me up for the day. The service here was phenomenal. We arrived very late due to a delayed flight and they had an attendant at the front desk who checked us in and had a friendly attitude. The hotel also has valet service. The staff and housekeepers were very nice, accommodating and did a great job taking care of us. I had a great welcoming stay at the Marshall House. We didn't get informed about ANY of the imenities of the property when we checked in including hotel cars, bikes, etc... also, the front desk staff told us there were pickleball and tennis courts so we walked over only to be let down that the courts were just for tennis, why would they lie about that?
