Parklab Garden, 1/17/21. Yelp Elite Badge Week: Domingo's International
    Lisa X.

First found out about Parklab Gardens through a Yelp Elite Event during the pandemic. After that event, I actually came back a few times (sometimes by myself, with the hubby, and sometimes with our pup), but I didn't get to play miniature golf on any of those times. So when my out-of-town friend came to visit me recently and wanted to do a girls day together, I thought it would be so fun to book a tee time at the Stagecoach Greens for us. And yes, we both loved it! What a fun way to start our day! We got there for one of the earlier tee times and we had so much fun! This mini golf course resides inside Parklab Gardens. There's also a bar cart, the Watering Hole, and various other food carts within it. There are also cabanas you can rent for bigger groups. Perfect for parties, group events, and team building events. Also, Parklab Gardens is across from Spark Social, so lots of food trucks to try within walking distance.

Parklab Gardens is a great space to entertain kids, (sit on a tiny train), bored teens, (photo booth), & adults (mini-golf). Pick up your clubs at the on-site cabin. Not free. The grown-up lounge area is complete with open air tent, comfy chairs and a fire pit. Green space! Yeah, i'd like to see how long that would last in the Tenderloin, or pretty much anywhere else than this pristine planned community, directly across the street from a giant food truck roundup. If the food truck area is too crowded, there's plenty of space at Parklab Gardens to eat your take-out. I have to say, I'm a bit perplexed by the back portion which looks like a tourist trap you'd find in the Arizona desert. Ye old Wild West faux town. There's the Barbary Coast "Saloon". Funky wood signs for the Watering Hole, and Boom & Bust Course. (btw, it's Boom OR Bust). Anyway, i'm kind of jealous.

Got invited to a birthday party and this is where they hosted the event. Such a cute place!! There's a golf play area and plenty of picnic tables to sit at. There are about 10 food trucks at the Parklab Gardens (Mexican, Filipino, donuts, poke, halal- just to name a few) and a truck that serves margaritas and drinks! This reminds me of Off the Grid but much better! Across the street, there's tons of other food trucks as well. For some reason, it's much busier there today but maybe cause there's more food choices? Either way, food prices are reasonable and it's a good place for date night, random weekend getaway or to host any event! We found street parking about a block away and walked.

Great for group happy hour or gathering. Reservable cabanas. When I last went a couple years ago, I remember the food truck selection to be limited but seems like they had a few more options on weekday evening. Mini golf on one side - never played before but looks fun.

I have been to multiple events at Parklab Gardens from foodie events, to matcha fest, to a recent political gathering I attended here and I am never disappointed. It is a beautiful space, centrally located with lots of parking nearby and transportation options. There are lots of food options and space to sit and enjoy the day or a snack or a chat with a friend or all of the above. I get excited when I hear something is going to be happening here and I can't wait until my next visit.

Located not too far from the Chase Center & Oracle Park, right across the street from Spark Social SF is this outdoor area where you can rent tents, cabanas, and areas to host an outdoor party. There is a mini golf area within it too. I easily rented a cabana for a Saturday morning brunch event during a bachelorette. You reserve online and pay, and you're only allowed to bring water and cake but you can get anything else from the food trucks on this side or at spark social. It allows for people to have options. Dogs are welcome and perfect for all ages. From coffees, ice cream, to drinks and desserts. They have a variety of Asian, Hispanic, and American food trucks. I really enjoyed the mini donuts at the park lab greens side. And they have plenty of vegan/vegetarian options. Parking can be difficult, it's mainly street parking so you have to drive around a bit to get lucky. Or you can park in some neighboring parking lots and pay hourly, I usually park at the parking lots off of Nelson rising lane; I think they're the medical office building lots. Some people park at the chase center parking too.

Parklab is a concept and a collective that recognizes the potential to create open space experiences with both temporary and long-term durations. This garden has few food trucks and a mini-golf play field.

Excellent event and venue. Specious so everyone can "social distance". Lots of really nice food trucks with a wide Vado of offerings. I chose Wicked Star pork belly and was really pleased. They ran out of the crab fried rice and the coffee so unfortunately I couldn't have either. I recommend visiting and spending an afternoon here.

Visited the Parklab Gardens less than an hour before closing time on a Saturday, and the best part was no waiting for anything... though some trucks, such as Rasa Rasa, were already closed. We enjoyed a shrimp caesar salad and fried mac n cheese balls from the Chef's Truck, and the brussel sprouts and fish taco from Domingo's International Kitchen & Fusion, and agreed that these dishes were generous in size and very tasty. We also got a couple drinks from the Watering Hole, and these were made well and perfect for our late night meal. We stayed till closing time, the place was fairly empty, but remained well-lit with some visitors still playing mini golf until late. I feel like this spot is just an extension of Spark Social across the street, with Parklab Gardens seemingly more spacious or spread out. Nothing too outstanding or unique about this food park, but it offers a clean and beautiful setting and food options that didn't disappoint this past weekend.

Open air, a mix of food trucks, people hanging out, dogs everywhere, and that easy San Francisco energy where you can show up however you are and it fits. It never feels like a production, just a good place to land. We have eaten our way through a decent chunk of the trucks at this point, and that is half the fun. One day it is something messy and indulgent, the next it is lighter, but it always hits. Grabbing a drink, finding a spot at the picnic tables, and slowly settling in as the place fills up is kind of the rhythm. It is social without being overwhelming, lively without being chaotic. What keeps us coming back is how consistent it feels in the best way. It is easy, flexible, and always a good time whether you stay for an hour or lose an entire afternoon there. It is the kind of spot that turns into a routine before you even realize it, and honestly, we are not mad about it.

Beyond that, the food and drinks are all food truck based. They are all quite good, and there's a wide variety of items. This also means a good variety for folks with different dietary needs, because they are mostly picking their own food. I have always enjoyed my time here, whether it's on company dime or if I'm just hanging out with friends. I do wish that there are more heaters around for the colder days but that's just life in the bay! It can be kind of cold and foggy all seasons here, so if you have a solid group of folks I'd recommend reserving a spot with a fire pit. One more note: parking can be tough. You either have to circle around for street parking, or rideshare here.

Between the location and the aesthetic, I was excited to see what the hype was about. My friend and I ordered the turmeric golden latte and the butterfly pea latte from the "botanical + herbal" section. Both drinks looked beautiful, but they tasted surprisingly thin and pretty flavorless. There wasn't much depth or richness, and we were confused because we expected a latte-style drink to include espresso. After asking the barista, we learned that the botanical + herbal drinks don't come with coffee or espresso at all. That wasn't clearly indicated, and the word "latte" definitely led us to assume otherwise. To their credit, the barista was kind and offered to add an espresso shot to my drink once I mentioned the confusion. After the addition, it tasted significantly better and finally had some body. I just don't understand why that wouldn't be the default or at least clearly labeled on the menu. The concept and setting are appealing, but the experience itself felt underwhelming.

The Leo's taco truck literally is located in San Francisco/Ocean Beach with a view of the Pacific Ocean. Leo's taco trucks are known in Southern California as THE taco truck for reasonably priced street tacos, that are beyond delicious. The experience at the San Francisco/Ocean Beach taco truck was great. For the most part it mirrors the LA experience, which is exactly what I wanted. It's like having a piece of home. Menu prices are nonexistent so there's no way to determine exactly what you're going to be charged. I ordered two Al pastor tacos, and was charged seven dollars which included tax. I really like that they always include a piece of pineapple with the Al Pastor. The tacos were absolutely yummy. The meat was flavorful, but definitely not as juicy as the LA version. Plus, they don't seem to be as generous with meat at this location as they are in LA. The talk of themselves are not the traditional small street tacos, and yet they're smaller than the traditional sized tacos. They do provide bagged condiments that include sauces and radish. I was super hesitant to try them because of some of the other reviews. Tasty tacos, and if you've ever been to Leo's, and you, in this part of the Bay Area, it's definitely worth a stop.
