It truly pains me to leave this review. We had our car washed, the Manager's Special and there were still many bugs on the front bumper, license plate and hood. I understand these things can happen and walked back to the wash and explained to the dark haired gentleman working on the left side of the wash what happened. He told me to bring the car back for a rewash. I drove around, gave him my receipt, he entered a code and I pulled around for a rewash. When pulling in, he loudly was telling the other employee that I didn't have my car washed and was just getting a free wash. Interesting that my just washed car was left so dirty that he thought it wasn't washed, and very insulting to my wife and myself. I gave him my receipt, that just minutes before showed my car was washed. To add more insult to injury, the car wasn't any cleaner with the rewash and after the previous treatment, there was no way that I would walk back there again to show him. Growing up in the service station, car wash and c-store industry (over 60 years family experience), the comments hit hard. While my disappointment was merely with the wash, it's now the lack of customer respect and treatment. read more

I want to start off by saying I have no problem with the people that work here. I have a problem with management. They let workers let customers know that there will be a $2.00 price increase for all packages for new year. Ok I get that but then they take away services for same package increase, but charge more??I asked the worker that I know why are you taking away the service and he stated management isn't making enough money so they took service away. So they have multiple people working standing around and they can't continue to brush off the front and rear of my car with car wash package I have takes 30 seconds?? He stated you need to take it up with management. Secondly they raise the price and there equipment in car wash don't work!?!? Today I just received my statement and noticed they overcharged my 3 accounts $2.00 more for each car a total of $6.00 with price increase. I tried to call management multiple times "Mario" son of owner with no response from him. Customer service from management is horrible here and I will be closing my accounts with all three vehicles! I will go across the street at Delta Sonic where they know how to treat there customer! This winter (2021 Jan.) I have gotten to this place twice and it was very disappointing. I took my car and paid for the $15 wash which included the SALT prep and all it was a quick brush of 5 seconds to the front grill and the license plate area! Plus the employees rather be on their phone, the wash didn't seem like a $15 dollar wash. Month later I took my van and paid for $5 wash sure enough BAD experience again. This time they were super stingy with the soap it just looked like the thing had run out of soap and it was more water than a normal car wash. FROM NOW ON I'LL BE TAKING MY VEHICLES TO THE $3 PLACES, ANYWAY THEIR WASH LOOK LIKE A $10 WASH! Plus it throws a good amount of soap for three dollars. I was hoping that this post would provide Sparkle Car Wash the opportunity to resolve this issue but unfortunately they were even more disappointing. After management saw my review, I did receive a phone call and it was determined that the manager on duty gave me the only copy of the incident report. This would explain why they didn't have a copy of it. However, it doesn't explain why I was told they will cover the damages and then received a voice message a week later that too much time had passed and they will not pay for the admitted damages. No where does it indicate there was a time limit on this. Especially since we have been in a pandemic and most businesses are being more lenient IF they do have time limitations. So if you want a quality car wash who caress about their customers....DON'T spend your hard earned money at Sparkle. Drive 1/2 block more and do as I am doing....and go to the new car wash. read more

I am a monthly "Manager Special" pass holder & have provided feedback for the past 2 months without any action. During Covid, the red towels were removed. They have not been available since; I bring it up each & every time that I go to get my car washed. This is 2 - 3x per week. Covid is not a permanent excuse to reduce services, unless there is a price reduction as well. PLEASE PUT THE TOWELS BACK OUT; paper towels do not work to dry a car. read more

Now, trying to cancel, I signed up with Oswego. I called Oswego and Joliet locations, but the phone rings for a long time and then asks for a remote access code before hanging up. This car washed has been closed several times without notice and I have a monthly subscription. On 3 occasions I have spoke to a manager to cancel the monthly wash and each time he says that he will. On February 1st 2022 my card was charged again. I should not have to jump through hoops and change credit card information because a business is refusing to cancel monthly charges. I would give this car wash no stars if i could and still leave a review. On the day I visited they were offering a special 3 dollars off any of the higher priced washes you choose. So I opt for the fanciest one, why not with 3 bucks off right? Well I might as well have gotten the lowest price one they had because that's the wash I received. The car was still very dirty when I drove out of there. They do offer a second wash free but why bother if your car is still going to be dirty afterwards. I wish I had've stopped and took a good look at the car afterwards before driving home, but alas I did not. And was not going to drive all the way back for a second sub par wash. Wow... this place is awesome! My car was so dirty. I don't mean sorta dirty or kinda dirty... I'm talking dime-store hooker just getting off a 72 hour shift dirty. Ok... maybe not that dirty, but suffices to say it had been a while since its last wash. Wash prices are $3, $5, $8, and $12. I chose the $5 wash and it was excellent. My car was shining bright. The windows, the sides, the bumpers... all super clean! Don't waste your time or money at the other car washes. I've tried them and had mixed results, at best. I used to like them till I had the mirror on my 2022 truck broken off when going through the drying part of the wash. I talker to the manager and he said because I put my mirrors in and out so the brushes wouldn't damage them I should have known they were going to get damaged. He also said that they have signage at the exit of the wash stating they are not responsible for damage to your vehicle. I would avoid using this car wash. read more

This is a nice wash if you don't care how clean the car gets or washing a "regular old car" but if you are the slightest bit meticulous this is probably not the place for you. For 20$ a wash I expect my car to come out with all the dirt off. Ran my car through two days in a row and same result. This car wash is our "go to" when the cars need a quick scrubbin'. They're always busy but I can still get in and out in under 10 minutes. They're a fully-automated wash with a ton of options and reasonable prices. A top of the line wash sets you back about $15, with a free return wash within 5 days. There are a bunch of other freebies, too, like a bug-scrub pre-treat, vacuums, and floor mat cleaning machine. My only complaint is that the drying portion of the wash is only so-so, but they even give ya free towels to dry off with (you have to return them before you leave - you didn't want to keep that manky old towel, anyway, did ya?) read more

I wouldn't go back if it were free. Tried to wash my car there for the first time today. Paid for the $3 wash with a five dollar bill and my change was spat out under my car. Made a valiant (broken foot) but fruitless attempt to find it. Drove inside, where the kid kept yelling, "Take your foot off the brake! Take your foot off the brake!" Me? Yep, he was talking to me, but ... my foot wasn't on the brake.... Went through the wash and over to the vaccuums. There were three empty spots and since apparently ppl who get their car washed there are greedy and selfish,, there were no vaccuums available because they were using theirs and their passengers were using those from the neighboring spaces. When I got out of my car I couldn't help but notice that there was still bird crap all over my car. Then I finally got a vaccuum ... big deal ... no suction at all. In fact, I think it actually might have dropped out more crumbs into my car. I went in search of someone to inquire how many $3 car washes it takes to actually clean a car, but no one was found. Had to go down the street to the gas station and pay $1.50 to vaccuum. So this all endd up costing me $6.50 (don't forget the two dollars that disappeared under my car) and my car still needs a wash. read more

This place is run down! Used to be clean, but it doesn't look like anything has been cleaned for a while! Some of the dryers don't work, heated dry was down as well. Vacuums constantly plugged up. Trash cans overflowing and only one mat washer was working. Time to modernize. With a new was just down the road, they will be doomed at this rate!!! read more

Just had a terrible customer service experience here this evening. I got there at closing time with my expiring "free" wash coupon. The OPEN sign was lit when I turned in and all three lanes were OPEN as I pulled up. The guy literally put a cone out in front of my car as I came to a stop and told me they "close at 8pm". Then they turned the signs off. I explained that my code was expiring and he just repeated that they "close at 8pm". Trying to let him do the right thing for a customer, I asked if he could give me a coupon for a free wash some other day. His response, "we don't make any exceptions for customers", and he didn't seem to care when I told him that I'll be taking my business elsewhere. He wouldn't even raise the gate for me to exit, so I had to maneuver my way out through the entrance. Congrats on mistreating a long time customer. read more

There were these shaggy looking teenagers that were working the day I visited the wash and they were blasting music on their phones that was cursing after every other word. I bought the lava wash package which I believe is the most expensive wash package, and the teenagers totally ignored the fact that I bought the most expensive wash package. I had to basically work my car onto the car wash conveyor because they were fooling around and not paying attention at all to my car. To make matters worse they didn't even activate all of the sprayers that I paid for in the wash. I think I was entitled to a hot wax and maybe some other things too but I didn't receive any of that. This place is a total waste of money and the employees do not have their sh*t together. I highly recommend any other car wash besides this car wash. Just moved to the area and we were hoping to find a carwash as good as the one we left in our old town and were pleasantly surprised when we found Sparkle Express! We have nice vehicles and take really good care of them, so finding a car wash that won't damage the vehicles over time is important. I brought my car there not too long ago to have it washed. I have never been to the Delta Sonic across the way, because I support small businesses (as a small business owner myself). As far as I'm aware, there was no LARGE scratch on my driver's side mirror before I went through. But after, when I pulled into the vacuuming area I noticed it. One of the employees had me fill out an incident report. I never heard anything back. After some time had gone by, I called and spoke to the assistant manager who informed me that his general manager said it wasn't from the car wash. I asked to have him call me, because I'm pretty certain that it was from the car wash. No call back. I know that there is video in the tunnel. A phone call would have been nice, but it would be even more appreciated if I could see the video and have it pointed out that the scratch was there prior to my car going thru. My car desperately needs to be washed and vacuumed, but I'm thinking that Delta Sonic is where I'll be taking my business from here on out. I'm really disappointed. read more

I usually get the managers special and half the time the guys don't do the wheels and tires or they don't brush the front and back of the vehicle. Always make thr extra drive out to Delta Sonic in Naperville just because their brushes are soft but couldn't make the extra drive last night so stopped at Sparkle Express. The brushes are insanely hard on the vehicle!! I would be afraid of paint chipping its so harsh. So harsh it actually cracked and busted my back windshield wiper!!! Always does a great job of cleaning the car very well. I'm glad to see they've got some additional services coming up soon as the normal $15 wash never gets the heavy amount of bug debris off the front of my car due to the heavy amount of driving I do for work. I used to love this place, until it damaged my car. They say right on the building they are not responsible for cars older than five years. However, my car was on the showroom floor a mere three months ago. It damaged my car and there was no manager on duty to do anything about it. I left my information and he did not call me. I had to call him. I agreed to meet him there after work. When I got there he was gone and he told his employee that he would not be returning after he agreed to meet me at that time.
