I've never had my nails done before so this was a first time experience. I got gel nails, the lady who did it was very friendly and nice, sadly they didn't have the exact color of green I wanted but it still came out great! It was a very cute store, they had free beverages and plenty of examples on show. These nails also seemed slightly expensive, I asked around my friends on how much their nails were and most of them got them done for 40-50$ but mine were a bit under 80$ which at first I thought was normal but now I feel was a bit too much money for the quality I got, one of my nails already fell off while I was writing and it hurts a lot! The nails itself came out really good, except it didn't feel too great seeing as some of them didn't fit right and felt crooked. I also asked for more natural nails but these felt very flat, and this shape did not match the size and shape of my hands. read more

Worst pedicure I have ever had. I actually left angry. The tech didn't even try, just put lotion on my legs and sloppily painted my nails - all while their kids were running around SCREAMING and breaking things. Horrendous. Avoid at all costs. read more

Please do NOT go here. I would give them zero stars if I could. I asked for short, baby pink, matte nails. This is what I got. I asked several times for the tech to smooth out the lumps, but he either didn't understand what I was asking, or just thought this was a good job. When it came time for the color, the tech told me that he would try the matte topcoat, but that he thought it would make my nails look 'dirty'. It wasn't the topcoat that made them look dirty... it was his polish job. So sloppy. I left here in tears. I drive straight to another salon and threw myself on their mercy. This second salon took pity on me and squeezed me in even though they were crazy busy. When I left the second salon, I was also crying- tears of joy. They took the image I had and made it a reality. I will be writing them an amazing review now. Long story short, don't waste your time at at Sparkles nails. Bad vibe, worse nails. read more

First time ever writing a review on a business. I am a beauty professional for over 17 years. I came in today with my 3 year old daughter for pedicures. They did a good job with her. But the first person I had made a mess of my nails.. I told the person that seemed to be the owner that I wasn't getting what I asked for & they told me someone else would finish me when the first person was done with what he was doing. By the time the first person was "done" with me, I was left with all misshapen nails & half done cuticles. Making it very difficult for the next person to fix them. My end result is better than what the first person did, but still a mess. I am very unhappy with what I received & had I not said something in the very beginning, I wouldn't have left this review. The problem should have been stopped at the very beginning If all that has been posted below this review isn't proof of harassment I'm not sure what is! Posting my personal private information on yelp. Calling me a disgrace & accusing me of being racist. All of this has been reported. & I would just like to confirm that my original review has NOTHINNG to do with my tech not speaking English. Amazing service...from the minute I called to the end of my service. I just recently moved to Hackettstown and was blown away of how friendly and welcoming this nail salon was. I was so use to waiting hours and being ignored and never getting what I asked for in Bergen county nail salons. The place was impressively clean, was greeted and and welcomed. Not a very clean salon. Nail dust everywhere. Floors are dirty as well. They need to give the whole place a deep cleaning.

Stay far away from this nail salon . The first time I went to the salon I got a full acrylic set and a pedicure I was there for almost 3 1/2 hours and when the guy was doing my feet he didn't scrub them or cut my cuticles all I got was a massage. The full set went fine the first time . The second visits I called ahead and asked for a fill. I showed the lady a picture as an example she didn't respond back to me and didn't even ask me what shape I wanted so I told her coffin and I got no response . My nails were so uneven and I even went back in and complained and all the lady did was wipe away the nail polish and repaint some of it and rushed the whole time . This lady was aggressively pulling my hand as she did my nails . I got charged 65 dollars for an acrylic fill with no design . I called to complain and try to get them redone . the lady didn't care much on the phone and told me they have a three day polices but I couldn't get there until my day off and they wouldn't make ANY EXCEPTIONS. There are so many cleaner and better salon in this area save yourself the trouble read more

Best nail salon in Hackettstown ever! I have lived here for 10 years and this by far beats even the most popular Salons around town. I have had a full set and a pedicure and I am happy with both of those services including them treating me like family. My pedicure was not rushed, amazing lotions were used and methods to remove dry skin on my feet impressed me. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by the most welcoming people and offered water and wine! They are very good people who are honest and genuine. The place is clean has great ambiance and really friendly people. I was able to get a last minute appointment. My pedicure was okay, they didn't not remove my cuticles at all, so I will be going again to another place to get that fixed soon. I was surprised but didn't say anything as I was last minute and desperately needed nails done. Finally got my manicure after, had 3 people assisting me. I called made an appointment. Sat down & had to wait...not a problem at all. The girl sits down to do my nails. I said I like them this length, the first thing she did was start cutting them. I said I didn't want them cut down, so the other hand instead of making my nails the same length she barely files them. I didn't want short nails on my right hand & long on my left hand. I came in the morning of valentine's day for an acrylic fill and gel pedi, my pedicure was great no complaints there but the guy who did my nails was very much rushing. i'm a licensed nail tech myself which I mentioned. I booked and reassured I wanted acrylic. sat down and he barely filed off my old polish, i pointed out many times where it was still noticeable on the sides and at the bottom, it's still there. he did my fill with hard gel when i asked and booked for acrylic, didn't use any dehydrator or primer, didn't properly seal my cuticles because my pointer finger was lifting, i told him and he put glue on top of my nail and did not remove the area that was lifted, it was still lifting as soon as i left. and he was not going to have me wash my hands before polish he was going to polish over the dust still in my cuticle area. disappointed because i paid over 100$ for my full service and it is not pretty. read more
