But while my husband and I were changing out an empty 5-gallon bottle, we noticed a white, thumb-sized fleck floating at the bottom. At first I assumed it was just a piece of plastic from the cap, so we emptied the bottle to check. To my absolute horror, it was a slug. We had been drinking water from that bottle for the past week with a SLUG floating in it. I gagged immediately. It was absolutely disgusting and alarming. Another reviewer mentioned finding a paintbrush and pencil at the bottom of their bottle, and I wish I found that than this. How sanitary is their bottling and quality control process if a slug can end up inside a sealed bottle unnoticed? I'm still sick over it. I wish I had taken a picture, but I was so disgusted that I immediately dumped it down the sink. Going to refill my own water from now on, at least I can see the cleanliness with my own eyes that way.

They have different types of water but we just get the filtered one with reverse osmosis and it always tastes great. They are a family-owned business and provide the best service around. The location is easy to find and there is plenty of parking in the plaza. I usually go into the store to refill my water, but they also have self-serve fountains outside open all hours 24/7. We bring our own gallon bottles, and they always power wash it for you there before they fill up it up for you. They have carts here to wheel the gallons to the car in case you need it, but I always have my trusty fiancé with me most of the time, so he carries it, and I just support where I am needed, haha! Prices here are minimally higher than others in the area (only by $0.50) but the water quality here has been great so I don't mind. The water from the first water shop I went to often had a moldy smell and taste to it and they weren't as clean. So I found a better shop in Altadena that I frequented for years and never had that issue so I was hopeful to find another excellent and clean water source - so far I haven't had any of those issues here at Waterfount. The water always smells and tastes great! They're located in the plaza with Grocery Outlet so there's plenty of parking. They have a couple of large carts for you to wheel the jugs to your car too which is helpful.
