But while my husband and I were changing out an empty 5-gallon bottle, we noticed a white, thumb-sized fleck floating at the bottom. At first I assumed it was just a piece of plastic from the cap, so we emptied the bottle to check. To my absolute horror, it was a slug. We had been drinking water from that bottle for the past week with a SLUG floating in it. I gagged immediately. It was absolutely disgusting and alarming. Another reviewer mentioned finding a paintbrush and pencil at the bottom of their bottle, and I wish I found that than this. How sanitary is their bottling and quality control process if a slug can end up inside a sealed bottle unnoticed? I'm still sick over it. I wish I had taken a picture, but I was so disgusted that I immediately dumped it down the sink. Going to refill my own water from now on, at least I can see the cleanliness with my own eyes that way.

Lucky for us, Waterfount is just down the street from us! They are open till 7 PM so we can always swing by after work on a weekday when we are running low on water, which is perfect. I am one of those people who have the special skill of tasting particular water, and believe me, the water here is fresh and great-tasting! They have different types of water but we just get the filtered one with reverse osmosis and it always tastes great. They are a family-owned business and provide the best service around. The location is easy to find and there is plenty of parking in the plaza. I usually go into the store to refill my water, but they also have self-serve fountains outside open all hours 24/7. We bring our own gallon bottles, and they always power wash it for you there before they fill up it up for you. They have carts here to wheel the gallons to the car in case you need it, but I always have my trusty fiancé with me most of the time, so he carries it, and I just support where I am needed, haha! The owner, Eddie, is genuinely friendly and always has a big smile. Thank you Eddie and your team for being in the city of Duarte and offering your fresh water to the neighborhood. Prices here are minimally higher than others in the area (only by $0.50) but the water quality here has been great so I don't mind. The water from the first water shop I went to often had a moldy smell and taste to it and they weren't as clean. So I found a better shop in Altadena that I frequented for years and never had that issue so I was hopeful to find another excellent and clean water source - so far I haven't had any of those issues here at Waterfount. The water always smells and tastes great! They're located in the plaza with Grocery Outlet so there's plenty of parking. They have a couple of large carts for you to wheel the jugs to your car too which is helpful. They offer different types of water filtration and also have 3 large self serve fountains outside open 24/7.

The lady that answered said she would forward my info to an Oscar. Oscar called me about an hour later and went over the entire system and the cost. His price was about $500-$1000 cheaper than local competitors. With good pricing and probably the best yelp reviews I decided to go with him. Installation was about a week later. The installer came around 11am and took about 8 hours to install the entire system. His install time too longer than originally quoted but I'm glad he took his time and didn't miss any steps. When it was all done he educated me on the entire system. It's pretty much a set it and forget it system except for maintaining certain salt levels. Within days I felt the difference in my skin. It wasn't as dry as before and the water really did feel soft. Highly recommend them!!
