The set the expectations and we didn't have to do anything. It took us about a couple hours where we couldn't use the water but then all we had to do is flush out the air from the new system. It's the third day now and everything is working great. WHY WE CHANGED: Just got tired of increasing monthly rates and having to open the garage for the techs to switch out the tanks. While, you do have to plan for those expenses, they are long lasting. over time it was less that our collective monthly expenses, especially if the maintenance by hand that was required was considered. When we were evaluating the system. It sounded expensive until I did the math on what we were paying for soft water which my husband dislikes the feel of. The difference is immediately recognizable in showers for hair and skin is something far better than I was .expecting. The water coming out of the tap is great! We do have a reverse osmosis for ice. The grey water every two weeks is used for the lawn and outside plants, so no waste and no big delivery trucks on the street on a regular basis. The landlord wouldn't allow the R/O faucet install. Everything was great. Phil cleaned up. Made sure his install was fine even though he had another big job in south OC yet to drive to after my job. I was in IE. I highly recommend CWS to those who want filter clean water for just their kitchen fellow Yelpers. My cooler has 3 settings. Hot, cold, regular. Great experience hiring MCS for a new water softener installation…read more I live in Yorba Linda and had been given the name of a company that was an authorized installer of Puronics systems in the area. That company came out, didn't provide any literature and verbally explained what they offered and quoted some ridiculously high prices. Then I was driving home one day and saw a service truck for MCS in my neighborhood that had graphics on it that said they installed Puronics systems. I spoke to that technician and he came over to look at my existing worn out system. He had literature explaining all their offerings and quoted prices that were much lower than the other authorized installer had offered. He gave me the quote on a Friday and three days later on Monday, they finished the installation in about 3 hours. The completed installation looked very professional. In setting up and testing the system, the installer (Jun) fine tuned the settings for the hardness of the incoming city water, the number of people in the household, the system regeneration timing (# of days), etc. while continuing to check the outgoing Puronics water for the correct softness (with a chemical test) after each adjustment. He then explained to me the functions and operation of the control panel. In summary, I'm very satisfied with MCS Water Technology for their pricing, installation and quality of technicians. My lesson learned is to check if there are other authorized installers in neighboring areas for an item you're shopping for. In my case, I found a gem of a company in MCS that was just a few miles away in Rowland Heights.
