After a day of touring covered bridges, we used Yelp to find a source of nourishment. It didn't let us down. Sparky's exceeded any and all expectations. Amazing beer selection and great food. I had the mushroom and Swiss burger and my husband had the fried haddock sandwich. We honestly didn't expect much and we were blown away. My burger was exceptional. I felt that after a week of still thinking about the burger I had that I should probably give these folks a good review. I normally eat let's say, down the hill from this place and past it many times for BBQ. The burger I had was probably the best burger I have ever had. I am not normally a person to go and give reviews unless it's over the top, after a week of still thinking of that burger I thought ya, they deserve it. I had a mushroom Swiss burger and onion fries, they were pretty damn good also. My wife's shrimp basket was perfect and she is a pain to please also (hope she don't see this). Sparky's is my family's favorite restaurant. Every time I visit we go to Sparky's at least once. The food is always great and the live music is fun. The owner clearly works incredibly hard and is always there to put in face time with customers. I'd recommend sparky's to any locals or visitors. My favorite is the BBQ burger. Went to Sparky's in September with some people for a late lunch after kayaking on the lake and Creek. The food was great. Chicken in the wrap and the chicken sandwich was so tender it might have been the best I have had. The shoestring fries are fresh cut and pretty good. The decor is new and very nicely done for a small pub,restaurant. They paid attention to detail. The food took longer than expected but for the quality we got, it was worth the wait. Been to Sparky's 3 times. Sat a bar first time just checking it out and had a glass of wine. Could have been a little more generous with the wine pour. It was 2 pm and there was a good crowd at the bar and main area plus folks coming in for take out orders. Sara is a good, friendly bartender. Second time went to dinner at 7 pm during the week. Place was packed with a good mix of people -- young, old, looked like locals and summer people. Food is made to order so waited about 15 minutes at this hours so have a drink during the wait. They have craft beers but not the same ones all the time. Had a chicken wrap that was REALLY fresh and delicious. Generous with curly fries made with real potatoes. Third time went on a Saturday, mid afternoon. Lots of folks but not packed although bar seating was full. The first wine pour could have been more generous. Had a steak salad but it arrived with only 5 small pieces of steak - not even a full portion of protein. The steak was good and hot from the kitchen. Excellent house made bleu cheese dressing. Overall, happy to have a nice new place in Conneaut. Close to the Harbor. Nice ambience. Parking and good, tasty food. Good choice of beers and alcohol offerings. Restrooms clean. Go! read more

Oh Sparky's! I absolutely LOVE this place! If I could give this 10 stars I would!! My husband and I frequent this restaurant very often! Actually it's our go to place since the doors opened! Where do I start. The food is phenomenal! You can taste the love and creativity put into each item! We've tried I'd say 90% of the menu items and in the time that we've been going I have absolutely no complaints! If you're a burger fanatic you would love there's! Everything is fresh and homemade and you can taste the difference. There beer menu is insane! Any beer you're in the mood to drink they more than likely have it! They're constantly getting in new craft beers and keeping up with the trends. The atmosphere is awesome we could go and hang out at the bar for hours and just have the best time! The owners and the staff are so friendly and welcoming it's almost like you're part of an awesome family! We really do love this place and are so lucky we have them in our town! After spending the day at D-Day Conneaut we came to Sparky's for dinner. We ordered burgers and didn't have to wait long for our food. The burgers weren't anything special but their homemade curly fries were great. Staff was very nice and it has a fun atmosphere. They had live music out on the covered patio too! read more

What a great little place! We were staying in town for a soccer tournament and found this gem as we were driving through town looking for a stop for dinner. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was fun, service was fast, price was right and food and drinks were awesome!! So glad we drove by and decided to stop. Nice place but food is mediocre. Had the BLT sandwich special with one skinny layer of bacon, two pieces of lettuce and a not so ripe tomato. Partner had Chicago style flatbread. Had very light layer of shredded cheese and tomatoes looked like stewed tomatoes out of a can!! You can do better at a fast food. My husband & I sat at the bar for an early dinner on Monday. Female bartender gave us menus & never gave us another look. She never even asked if we'd like something to drink as she was too busy talking to the man next to me about pouring his drink out cuz she thought he had left. My husband prefers Bud Light draft, but we noticed it wasn't on tap. After sitting there looking over the steep menu prices & listening to the drinking employees sitting at the bar joke between each other, we got tired of waiting & quietly walked out. Once we were out, some guy yelled 'hey' out the door at us. My husband waved his hand at him & just said "everything's fine" We just got in our car & drove to The Rainbow Cafe for Bud light drafts, good service, good food & good prices! ~ ~ I also noticed 'Owner Responses' to other reviews only on 4 & 5 stars.
