During routine pool service at my home, their employee opened my main water valve - that was closed for a good reason - without my permission while I had stepped away to Home Depot to buy a shower cartridge. When I returned, water was pouring into my garage. My home flooded from the top level down. One week before Christmas, EVERY room was water damaged and had to be demolished. When it happened, the employee called the owner on speakerphone and said he had made a "huge mistake," explaining what he had done. The owner responded, "Do not tell this to the lady," not realizing he was on speakerphone. That alone says it all. Instead of coming to assess the damage, he claimed that he was out of town and that he could not recall the name of his insurance carrier. From that moment on, they never showed up, neither the owner BOB, neither his son ADAM. I was left alone dealing with the consequences. What followed were more than 4 months of construction, two years of stress, a $5,000 deductible loss, and additional out-of-pocket expenses. Because I had to file through my own insurance, my homeowners policy was not renewed. In California, if you have a single water claim -- regardless of fault -- it is extremely difficult to obtain new coverage. To this day, I have been unable to secure a house insurance, and my mortgage has increased by $600 per month due to this lack of coverage. This experience has had serious financial and personal consequences for me. I have been fooled by their fake smiles and I regret it every day. Now you know and it is up to you to decide who you want to give your business to.

All of the other contractors lacked transparency when it came to critical components of a remodel such as crack repair, brown coat and potential replacement of the skimmer & water features. Their quotes didn't have them as line items, instead they had a single footnote stating anything found after demo would be assessed and estimated. The Lillywhite bid included every "potential" cost item, with the understanding that they may not be required but at least they were included for budgeting purposes. In the end the team was able to save the skimmer, water features and the crack repair was minimal which save me over $6,500. The Lillywhite team exceeded all my expectations: 1. Transparency and Communication: From the sales cycle to the implementation there was full transparency and constant communication from James, Deborah and the back-office team. 2. Project Team: All of the workers were highly skilled and performed outstanding work. The always asked questions and engaged me throughout the remodel. 3. Cost: There were no hidden costs, and the bid was highly competitive. James worked very close with me to explain the process and discussed various options as part of the redesign. 4.
