I asked her to highlight the back of my hair which was still dark and she added more blonde to my entire hair taking away all my lowlights which wasnt a big deal as I didnt mind all the blonde even though this was not what I asked for. What was upsetting was I specifically asked her to only trim 1 centimeter off my length and she got crazy scissor happy and began to add layers everywhere which does not work with fine thin hair. At one point I literally grabbed her hand and asked her not to do a face frame which she insisted on doing. The total was well over $300 and my husband said my hair looks like it lost a fight with a lawnmower. I called to speak to a manager and and my call was never returned.

I found this place via yelp, was able to make an appointment with Angela for the next morning. The owner & nail tech, Angela was so friendly and gave me a great manicure. I wanted something with lace detailing, and she showed me a few options and I ended up choosing a stamp. She took her time, and I ended up loving the results. The pricing was great too, same as the Asian nail places, but better quality in my opinion. $19 for manicure, extra 5 for nail art. Aside from a nice looking manicure, I wanted to find a place that actually cleaned their equipment so I wouldn't be afraid of getting a nail fungus. The owner explained that she purchased a machine to sterilize the equipment, going above the basic disinfecting laws in place. The shop itself is small, only 2 hair stylists, and 1 nail tech, but nothing is lacking. I enjoyed the coziness of it. I expected the place to be decorated Indian because of the name "TAJ", but it wasn't! The owner explained that it was her & her 2 daughters initials. I don't get my nails done too often, but when I do, this is where I will go! If you take a trip here, mention Michelle sent you, and if I get 3 referrals I can get a free manicure :-) I know you'll enjoy this place as much as I Did! I was honestly just nervous about reaching out and asking about it. But I originally paid around $160 plus tip, so I was disappointed when I reached back out and was told it would now be $165 to fix the banding because it had been over a week (around the two week mark). I completely understand that time had passed and I should have communicated sooner, but the main issue for me is that this just isn't what I wanted my hair to look like. Now I'm stuck with noticeable banding, and the only solution I really have at the moment is to get a box of dye and try to DIY it myself into a darker color. But I really loved the cut, and she was super sweet, which is why I'm just disappointed with how everything ended up.
