Fender repair was as expected; great work and time it took to get car back was worth the wait. I had a rental the entire time so that made a month wait not too terrible. I was not pleased that I had to buy new battery less than a week i get it back after being told it was charged constantly; and I had a problem with the after market parts causing it to breakdown AGAIN after getting it in less than two months leaving me stranded over 2 hours from home thinking i had quality parts specifically for the "ultimate driving experience" but ....NOT. Extremely frustrating and scary to think your property and your life is taken for granted over a few hundred bucks! Really could have been a life altering experience had I not decided to get in busy interstate traffic but stopped at a store first! Loyalty and integrity counts! A person word was once all that was needed especially when they are paid to do certified/"specialty" work and think it's ok to put your life in danger for a quick paycheck. I had a minor fender bender a couple of years ago, and not wanting to file an insurance claim, patched the body damage myself. My amateur fix worked if you didn't look closely, but it was uneven with some small cracks still showing and didn't get the shine on the paint right. My car is otherwise in great condition, and as I was getting ready to buy a new one, wanted to get the damage fixed professionally to get a better trade-in price. Specialty did a beautiful job at a very reasonable price and things worked out as I'd hoped. Chris Few, the estimator, was highly professional and easy to work with. My past experience with body shops is that they want you to leave the car for two or three weeks, and then the repairs are delayed for a week or two beyond the initial time estimate. What I liked about Specialty is that they said up front that they had so much work that they couldn't start for a couple of weeks, but they gave me a date and time to bring in the car, and promised the work would be done in four days. So I had the use of my car during the period when most shops just have it sitting around on their lot. Specialty had the promised work done on time, but they found a cracked foam absorber completely hidden from view. They gave me the option of having the part replaced, which added three days to the repair, or delivering the car as promised. The email I got from Ricky Farmer explaining the issue was very clear and complete, with photos showing the problem. I elected to replace the part and they delivered the car right on time. It's clear that they do a great job of scheduling and managing their work, and keeping the customer informed of the status of the repair. They have my highest recommendation. read more

A huge tree fell on my new Ford Focus while sitting in a parking lot. I was afraid my insurance company was going to total it out it was so bad . My insurance Company listed Specialty Paint & Body as one of their guaranteed service shops so I had it towed over for repair. They were very nice and kept me posted via text messages throughout the process and even though my insurance was paying what ever the cost the final bill was much less that was originally quoted . My car look just like new . The car was fully detailed inside and out every little detail was attended to . The onboard computer was reprogrammed , the complex paint color with the metiflake finish was matched flawlessly everything was restored to perfect new condition which after the tree crushed it I would have never imagined . We had a good experience here. Chris did a more thorough inspection than the other shops we went to. The estimate was a little higher, but not by much, and I had more confidence in Specialty (and we were going to go through our insurance anyway). Not sure what's the deal with the last guy... Looking at his reviews, I think he just gets on here to complain. My experience with Specialty Paint and Body was second to none. They went out of their way to repair our car without replacing parts that they could savage. Overall the savings was close to $245. So, you can see... I'm one of their biggest fans. read more

My car was hit by a shuttle bus at an airport park and ride and had damage to two doors and the mirror. Specialty Paint and Body was extremely thorough in their assessment and estimate of the damage and even gave me advice on the claims process with my insurance company. All of their work was beautiful and the car looks like brand new. They kept me updated throughout the process and had my car completed on time, even though they found even more internal damage after starting the repairs. Specialty paint & body repair...doesn't do painting only collision repair. Their words not mine...

I was hit my another car and ended up going here to get my Honda suv worked on. The tailgate had a small air bubble from when the painted it and the rear spoiler was damaged when the where working on the car not from the wreck. My front drivers seat snapped back when I was hit and I told the body shop this, they said the seats was ok. A week later I was driving the car after it was fixed and the seat kept falling backwards. I back to the body shop and told the which they fixed. The reason I give them two stars is because I felt that the should of looked at the car before I got it and found the problems before I returned the rental car and had to bring it back where now I'm out of a car for two days. Then I left the car for those two days to get it fixed and they still forgot to fix the paint job. So I had to return another time for them to fix the paint. I am done with them. If you want to save yourself a lot of gas and frustration pick a different body shop. read more

Unbelievable!! This review will not be the end of our complaining and possible legal action. After keeping my sons car for at least 5-6 weeks, when picked up the A/C did not work. After another week there, when he drove away he noticed something amiss. I had it towed then to Hayes Chrysler in Gainesville and they found that EVERY suspension bolt underneath was only hand tight. After further work, it is highly suspected that they DID NOT change some parts they told the insurance company they did. My son's life was in danger driving away from this place and I would recommend everyone to be aware. Our next step it to insure the insurance changes to another body shop! read more
