    Cobb Salad
    Tyler T.

I initially found this restaurant based on really positive reviews in proximity to my hotel. They have a diverse menu with great breakfast and lunch options. I personally got the Cobb salad, which was delicious and a large portion full of fresh ingredients. The two people I was having lunch with both got sandwiches which looked and smelled delicious as well. This café has a professional and comfortable ambience, which is perfect for a casual or professional lunch. You can self order at Kiosk and the food came our surprising quickly! Very good quality meal and definitely worth a stop!

I cannot be the only one who is ecstatic that Specialty's has opened up again in the Bay Area! What isn't good here?? This brand new location in Brisbane is clean, quiet and food is just as good as I remember it. There are self-order kiosks available. Online order is available too. Not too much staff interaction here but friendly and helpful. I came here and I knew what I wanted: a famous Specialty's cookie and the thai chicken salad. Hands down my favorite items. The food is still on par. This is a beautiful location near the water. Take a walk after!

Whenever I order from Specialty's, I can never pass up their Oatmeal Wheatgerm Chocolate Chip cookie! I just love the texture. Can't complain about the Cappuccino scone either. Specialty's now has bowls and I've ordered the Southwest bowls a couple of times. May not look like a lot, but it's heavy and full of fresh greens and the toppings - chicken, tortilla strips, cheese, tomatoes, wild rice. Quite filling.

Classic Roast Beef and Black & White Cookie

Got their Classic Roast Beef Sandwich which came with medium rare cooked Top Round beef and was garnished with horseradish sauce and built on sandwich veggies, this is a hearty flavorful sandwich. The bread itself was Focaccia which was delicious and crumbly (the brittleness was almost cake-like), and the roast beef was juicy. This sandwich was completely wholesome and yummy. I would certainly get this again. And for the cookie I got one of absolute favorites from Specialty's and it's the "Black and White" cookie which is a signature dark chocolate cookie with white chocolate chunks. The cocoa in the cookie was deep and delicious and was balanced out with the sweet creamy white chocolate chunks.

Specialty's was my jam back in the day! I used to eat it a lot back in my college days in Los Angeles. I didn't even know they still had any in the Bay Area and I haven't had it in like 15 years so I was very excited when I saw on Yelp that there was a new location in Brisbane. The sandwiches were tasty. My wife got the bbq chicken and it was very flavorful and delicious. I got the turkey and substituted a lot of things (changed the bread, produce, and sauce). I was afraid they wouldn't get all the substitutions correct since I've been burned so many times by other establishments. However, they got all the subs correct so I was very happy! The cookies weren't as good as I remember. They were still good, but I remember them being amazing back in the day. They are pretty pricy for how small they are- not that "special." Parking is good since the restaurant is located in a biotech plaza with a nice parking lot. Worth checking out for a quick and reasonably priced lunch!

If you've ever worked in downtown SF pre Covid, you'd know Specialty's was a staple for lunch catering and their cookies! And a quick place to pick up salad, sandwiches as well as the fresh cookies. There was only one left in Mountain View after they closed all the ones in SF and the Bay Area. I'm sure the real reason is so that my Specialty's rewards would no longer be valid cause I racked up so many freebies they didn't want to anymore money. All jokes (I did lose out on cashing in points, so maybe some bitterness, lol) aside, I was able to find this new location in the Brisbane Marina area off Sierra Point Parkway. It's located on the ground floor of a newer building with plenty of parking in a business park. I only recently stumbled upon them again because my electricity was out for a few days during the rain storm as a tree knocked down one of the poles on my block and PG&E was bombarded with outages and I needed to find a quiet spot to work. I was glad to go for a couple of days and use their very fast internet and drink some coffee, (even though it's Peet's) and get through a couple of projects. I was a huge fan of the Chai Snickerdoodle cookies as it has this nice mix of chai, sugar and cinnamon that blends together and is very delicious. Also love the chocolate chip and weirdly enough the Oatmeal Wheatgerm. Those are my faves. It is however a $4 cookie, so it's more of a treat than a go to. It's good to be nostalgic about them as they were around for so long, but I did order a salad and the price point isn't exactly great. Inflation is ridiculous in the Bay and paying for a salad, coffee and cookie shouldn't cost $30. But I needed the internet and that was the main point as I called it a tax, but yikes. Will go back once in a while for a cookie and will use the place if I'm in need of connecting online. I will however try to get them for some business catering in my office if the prices are better. I'll have to look into it, cause if it's not my money, than why not cater from them every once in the while. Think folks would like that.

Specialty's is back in the area! Previously in the Gateway complex area of SSF they have returned with Peet's. I ordered catering for a meeting, and the sandwich boxes with cookie and chips were well-received. Vegan/vegetarian options as well. Would order again, as you can track your order by text. I visited in-person also and you can order at the counter to the left or from ordering pads. You pick up your sandwich from the ordering side and coffee at the cafe counter. There was wifi and a few outlets along the side. There was parking in the large adjacent lot, turn right into it at the stop sign. Clean bathroom. Will be back for the helpful crew, coffee and cookies!

Wow, I love this place freshly baked pastries good coffee and the marina is right there. I used to have a liver board and stayed on the water in Brisbane marina, but this was not open never would've left if this was open.

I ordered the Godfather sandwich based on previous photos. I thought it was going to be some kind of a loaded sandwich since it was $20 after tax. When I opened the box, I was a little bit worried that I had ordered the wrong sandwich because it was about the size of my hand. I looked at the photos and I thought ma'am it's kind of looks similar, but maybe I'm just missing something as a scale. But if you look at the layers of the meat, there are actually less layers now than there were 12 and eight months ago. I'm not saying it's a bad sandwich. I'm just saying it's a bad value. The Caesar salad seemed like it was prepackaged in a box. The cheese, kind of taste like refrigerator. And there was no lemon or any kind of anchovy sauce or flavor in the dressing. At the time of writing this review, this restaurant has 4.6 stars shame on me for not reading the recent reviews because I'm not sure I would have ventured here if I did.

I know what I did and I heard her loud and clear, but she said it like want us to leave because she looks so angry. I will be more than glad to pay for it, but she made us all Felt like we were stupid not understanding, we should had just left but we just came back from Burlingame and wanted to go to Cafe Central but the line was impossible to wait, so we said let's just go to our favor spot which is Brother's cafe. But after today experience we will not return, she did not even came by and asked if the food was okay or if we need anything else, we had to ask someone else for a paper cup. It took her a few minutes before she brought me another cup of water and repeat the same thing again and again that she threw the plastic cup in the trash because of me. The worst part we notice she was eyeing in us and told her coworkers, as we left the waiter that normally come by gave my sister a hug and we can tell, he said see you guys next week... which it will not happen. She did not need to scream so many times and repeated herself so many times even the table next to us just turn around and said what is the big deal. Yes I should had know better but my 14 year old dog was happen and issue with the heat from Burlingame. I love this place but after the server ( Latina women with glasses mid 30's-40's)not just try and give us a lecture and scream at me and kept telling me because of what I did she throw the plastic cup away, instead she could be more calm and use a better wording we would had enjoyed our late breakfast. She only had to say it once but she made a comment that is not expected, by eyeing us from afar and we feel Like she wanted us to leave, we could not enjoy today's meal. This is a restaurant not a home do some respect for your self and your customers. Thank you for the last 7 years of food, we had enjoyed every Sunday since. By the way I would be more than happy to pay for the plastic cup, and I am sorry this upset her so much she made us felt like we are not welcome anymore. I had a business in San Francisco and my employees know better than to behave with such attitude.

Between how this part of South SF has been getting completely made over (or, in a lot of cases,…read morenewly built) and how poke bowls are like the perfect workday lunch (for me, at least), it's not all that surprising for a poke joint open up around here. However, even though I've passed by this office park numerous times, I never would've guessed there was one here! Not that I'm unappreciative, mind you - while I imagine this place can get pretty busy during the day time, I love how quiet and chill it was on a Saturday night! Located within The Cove at Oyster Point, Truffle Poke Bar is one of just a handful of retail businesses surrounded by several large office buildings (there's also a few other eateries, a Starbucks, a yoga studio, and an Orange Theory). As such, there's not much foot traffic at night, except for the waves of food delivery couriers that I saw walking in to pick up orders. However, there's a reason why so many folks order from here - the menu (and the food) look terrific! While the range of options here isn't as extensive as at other places, you'll still find all of the usual offerings, along with their signature truffle aiolis and even raw oysters! For my bowl, I opted to get their REGULAR POKE BOWL (Four Proteins, $18.95) with Ahi Tuna, Salmon, Hamachi, and Crab Salad with Scallions, Crispy Onions, Ginger, Sliced Jalapeno, Tobiko, Wasabi, Seaweed Salad, Ponzu Cucumber, Original and Ponzu Sauces, Furikake, and Truffle Aioli over Mixed Greens and White Sushi Rice. All together, unlike their menu, this thing was HUGE! All four of the proteins were terrific, the seaweed salad, ponzu cucumbers, and crispy onions, in particular, were great, and the aioli wasn't super heavy on truffle either! Plus, I liked that there was a balanced ratio of rice to proteins to toppings. While I can't say I had any major issues with my bowl, I do wish a couple of things about it were different. For one, it was a bummer to see the crab salad listed as a protein instead of a topping like at other places (though, to be fair, you get a lot of it). Also, it felt a little light on both of the sauces, as well as the truffle aioli, which I got a small dollop of. Even with those minor complaints, neither are anywhere near enough to deter me from coming back again. With all of the available parking and the wealth of seating both inside and out (on a Saturday night anyways), Truffle Poke Bar is such a convenient spot around here to stop in for a quick and easy bite. Or to order delivery from when you're stuck sitting in another meeting that really should've been an email.
