I've generally had a positive experience with Spectrum's service. The internet itself was reliable, and customer support representatives were always professional and helpful when I needed assistance. However, I was very disappointed with my final billing experience. I am permanently relocating out of the country to an area where Spectrum does not provide service, and I canceled my account with 16 days remaining in my billing cycle. Despite no longer being able to use the service, I was charged for the entire month with no prorated adjustment. What made this especially frustrating is that Spectrum indicated the account could have been transferred to the new homeowners if they chose to activate service, yet there was still no flexibility regarding the final bill. I understand companies have policies, but charging customers for weeks of service they cannot use leaves a poor final impression. It's unfortunate because the quality of the service itself deserved a higher rating. read more

Spotty, inconsistent internet and awful customer service. Loves to gaslight you when you question why your bill goes up randomly out of nowhere (by almost $20 every time) for the same internet. They accused my non-existant child of ordering TV services on my non-existant Roku. When I asked who authorized any added services and why they wouldn't bother to send a notice, alert, email (literally anything) that this was added on, they said, "Oh, we had the wrong account pulled up." I didn't realize that my bill had risen to $375 for nothing special. Customer service agreed and told us we had been wayyyyy overpaying. She said she would comp a free month and going forward, we would pay $180. (Still pricey). Turns out. He did none of the above nor had the authority to do so. Calling these people is a nightmare of horrors and a waste of 90 minutes. But- I will say their technical support folks are fantastic But I plan on ditching this horrible customer non-focused scam artists. read more

If I could make this negative I would. I have had home internet service for five + years. Over that time the bill has doubled. First call to customer service they said that's the rate. ATT provided better value and higher speed. They refuse to prorate the disconnection and are going to stick us for three weeks of the billing period. Terrible customer service. We have had spectrum mobile now for 2 1/2 years. We haven't needed to go in the store very often for issues but when we did I would dread it! Customer service hasn't always been the greatest and the wait lines have been crazy BUT last night I had a GREAT EXPERIENCE at the Spectrum in South Park Meadows. The associate that helped me, Carlos Flores, was super helpful! He was very polite and patient. I needed to do a transfer from my old phone to my new one and he kept me updated on the progress. Will definitely go back there if we have any issues that pop up and specifically ask for Carlos because he killed it in customer service! read more

I don't have Spectrum but I had to cancel my Granny's service and turn in her equipment. I thought it was going to be an all morning thing. Walking in there was about 4 people in the store. Being I'm not familiar, I neglected to sign in and just got in line. But the male attendant was attentive enough to notice and asked that I go sign in at the front. Even with my ignorance to their sign in system I still wasn't in the store even 15 minutes. The other attendant wasn't overly friendly but she was efficient. I thought I'd need a lot of information and it would be a hassle to cancel. I anticipated them trying to convince me not to cancel and me ultimately having to go into WHY canceling is the only option. Luckily, she scanned the equipment, asked of I was canceling for (Granny), she printed the confirmation receipt and I was out. I don't know if its just this location or company policy for things to be those convenient but I wish other companies would take note. read more

1 star because zero isn't an option. Spectrum is a terrible company. They are constantly having service outages and the customer service is very rude. I called to dispute a charge and was told they cannot break policy to give a credit. When pressing further for an explanation I was told, "if you don't like it then start your own company." The prices were constantly going up. I understand that I was at a promotional rate to start but then the charges went up 3 more times after that and the charges billed were never the exact same- fluctuating somewhere around the low $90 range for internet only at the slowest speed offered. Outages were never credited. Only if over 24 hours but they would have multiple within a month that were under the 24 hour mark but definitely enough to disrupt workflow for the day. Once I finally cancelled and made the switch, they failed to tell me that the billing cycle would still charge another full month because I was a few days into the billing cycle and they do not yprorate. I tried to dispute that but it went in circles with very rude escalation "leaders" who said that it's on the bill and I should have read that. While I understand that, it's seems criminal that it's left out of the initial cancellation conversation. Do not give Spectrum your business. You will regret it. read more

Absolute worst customer service. Would give them 0 stars if allowed. I spent over two hours on the phone trying to cancel my business service. It was like they were intentionally making it impossible for me to disconnect service. That should be illegal. Internet connection is super lousy too. Constant outages. read more

We just moved into our first home, brand new house. In the four hours it took for the spectrum associate to set up our internet, he broke the latch to our attic and scuffed up the paint on the attic door. A long orange cord now hangs in its place. I'm shocked nothing was done to fix the damage. Anyways this is the only provider in our area and the internet is so far so good, so 2 stars. Still think they need to repair the damages. read more

Literally the WORST internet provider. They are the only provider for Kyle and Buda, and I can't wait for them to have some competition. After setting up an appointment for my new house, I was stood up, and did not receive a phone call. After waiting 3 hours, I reached out to reschedule, and I was stood up again. I have spent countless hours on the phone and was given zero information or solutions. They also added tv service without my consent, just to charge me. I walked in, and it was busy, walked around for a bit, then saw on the screen walk in/reservations waiting. No one said a word welcoming me and for me to sign in. Visited online but earliest reservation was 2 hours out. Was looking for somewhere to sign in as a walk in online. No luck. About 15-20 min went by before i saw someone else walk in and sign in on the kiosk at the front, it's easy to miss. Feel like employee awareness on ppl that walk in through the store would go a long way to save customers time. I watched several other people walk in confused. ~WORST ISP IN BUSINESS. RUN AWAY~ I wish I could give NEGATIVE STARS. I was told I could upgrade my internet service by a sales rep if I purchased my own equipment with out having to incur their $199 JUNK fee for upgrading. I went out and purchased the best internet hardware on the market. When I called back in, they've given me the run-around and refused to honor what their rep said. I spoke with their billing dept, who confirmed I didn't need to pay the $199 fee, and NOTED MY ACCOUNT. I was then transferred back to the Jackie (rep ID-6693, she says) who REFUSED to honor what their billing dept JUST confirmed. When I asked to speak with a manager, she just transferred me to another dept. (Not a manager) This company is a NIGHTMARE. Avoid at all costs. Use anyone else available. My Spectrum internet was down for 13 HOURS on November 22. And it wasn't the first time it had happened this week. I work from home so I lost a half day of employment. I want my Spectrum bill to AT LEAST be credited for the loss in service, which will, of course, be very little in comparison to the lost billable hours. When I try to contact Spectrum via their "chat" option, you only get responses from annoying BOTS. No live support. It will be the same situation if I call them -- just a labyrinth of dead ends and poor excuses. Spectrum is yet another dismally poor choice among internet providers. read more

Bought an iPhone and net services from Amanda Almaguer a few days back and could not of had a better experience. Stoped in this evening to change service and worked with Conzuelo and had the EXACT OPPOSITE EXPERIENCE! Goes to show it's the people that make the difference. Manager "David Smith" if he exists, should take note. Conzuelo needs to find a job she enjoys and maybe even knows how to perform. read more
