This review is strictly about Spectrum Autoworks' collision service. My car got hit by a deer. It crushed the entire right front end of the car. Upon the recommendation of my boss who had just had her car there the day before, I spoke to Eugene & took my car over. The very first thing that I was impressed with was his immediate attention. He looked at the car and then offered his condolences -- along with assurances that he could repair it & would work with the insurance company. He apologized that someone else had his loaner car, but he immediately took me to get a rental car. (I had not asked him to do this.) The first place didn't have anything appropriate available, so he took me to another place. He also asked questions that I hadn't thought of, and he waited while I called the insurance company to make sure that they would reimburse me. The repair itself took a lot longer than I'd anticipated; I would assume it was because of all the parts that were needed. It also took the insurance company several days to go out and assess the damage. In the end, though, they did a wonderful job. My car looks brand new, just as it did when I first bought it. I believe they also cleaned the inside, as it looked shiny clean. My only real complaint is that I wasn't really kept informed during the process, but Eugene did respond immediately when I texted him. read more

Not to be trusted. Bought a 2025 Acura with 2600 original miles listed . Had problems a few weeks after delivery. Come to find out motor have been swapped with a Honda engine with unknown milage. They swore it had not been swapped. After months of problems they finally admitted the engine had been swapped. . Not to be trusted read more

Great auto shop. I needed new tires and Eugene price matched my best offer. I was also told at a different tire shop that I needed new brakes. Eugene looked at my brakes and told me he could not sell me new brakes because mine were in great shape. I really appreciate his help and honesty. They are busy, so the wait is long but in my opinion worth it. read more

I have purchased a couple of cars through Spectrum over the years and recently took my Honda in to have it looked at. As you can see in other reviews, Spectrum does business in salvage vehicles. If you research what a rebuilt car in Michigan is and want to save some money, a salvage repair vehicle may be for you. If that's the case, I would recommend Spectrum. The worst service I ever experienced! Awful attitude to a client. I was at this repair store several times. Each time I had to wait 4-5 hours for changing oil even though I had an appointment thus they knew about my visit, but they were absolutely not ready and didn't have suitable oil filters. Every time Mr. Eugene ordered an oil filter only after that I had come and the oil has been changed and he had discovered that he had no a suitable oil filter. And after that no sorry or regrets were expressed to me. Also the oil change price every time differs and becomes more expensive. The last my visit I paid $75 for it. This is the exactly same price as at an official service. I think he just takes it from his mind. Note, if he gets a negative review, he is used to answer: "We have not done any business with you". Found an ad for a salvage title Ram Rebel on Autotrader and Ebay. Was initially told the one airshock exploded and that was why it was totaled and that the replaced it with new and everything works like new. After some negotiation he, Eugene, email of Yevgeny Muchnik, sent me a Carfax that showed a collision with a sign that caused the issue. I asked for receipts for parts replaced and then he told me he had to buy a used airshock because there are no new ones. Even after all that I decided I would buy the truck because he stated over and over again everything works as it should. SO I purchased a plane ticket from KC, got a cashiers check, and flew up the Detroit. He met me at the airport with the truck and took me back to Spectrum Autoworks to do the paperwork.. and on the way he made me get insurance on the truck.. Got to the office after over an hour and I finally got a chance to look the truck over. (still never drove it as he drove the entire time). I lowered the truck using the keyfob. I started the truck and tried to raise it and it when up 3 bars but would not get to the off road position. I went in to ask him why as they were filling out the paperwork. He came out and tried and finally got it raise. Then it would not lower. He said it was working fine and that I must have hit the buttons too often and overheated it. Tried for 30 minutes to get it to lower and it would not. He agreed to take me back to the airport. By that time there were no flights back to KC so I had to rent a room and book a flight for the next day.. He did not offer to pay for any of that. Be very careful when dealing with them. I have recently taken my Scion XB for repair after and accident. Service was perfect and fast they worked with my insurance company to get everything done without a hastle. I got a rental vehicle from them. Couldn't have wished for a better experience. especially being a woman i am always a little reluctant to take my car place since i don't known anything about cars. read more

Yikes! These guys are something else, NOT IN A GOOD WAY. Be aware of what you buy. Research Salvage/Rebuilt cars and read the HORROR stories. Eliminate heartache and stress and forget about ever going there. Eugene, the owner, is a blow hard and probably gets most people to bite on his BS. The guy defines CON. The team at Spectrum Autoworks were great to work with. I went in on a Monday afternoon to get an estimate. They had estimated 2-3 days to get parts and 2-3 days for work... My car was completed by Thursday at noon. The prices were fair and they did a phenomenal job on my car, even returning it to me thoroughly washed and vacuumed.
