i have been a TWC for over 11 years and have been happy with their service most of the time. I went by their location on Maynard Rd. In Cary, NC around 10 a.m. this morning to exchange my remote control and there was no line and I was in and out of there in a minute. There were three staff working there and the lady that helped me was efficient and pleasant which made me happy. I guess it depends when you go by there but I had a very pleasant experience there this morning. Keep up the good work TWC. read more

We don't even have time warner cable buy live off Morrisville parkway and they were in our yard to lay fiber optics. However they "impacted our line" and we haven't had internet for two days. Which is hard since my fiancé works from home. We called time warner and after being transferred 8 times and on hold for 45 minutes they said there was nothing they could do because we have uverse. I went to return some excess equipment on a Friday, mid-morning. Honestly, I had been dreading this trip for months. However, I was so surprised at how good my experience was! They now have a system where you pick a number so that you no longer have to stand in a line. You can choose to wait in the chairs they have available. They had about 4-5 service people working, which seemed to be sufficient for the number of customers. I was in and out in 15 minutes! And, even more importantly, they correctly credited my account with the returned items. Latrelle was my service person. She's competent and friendly. read more

Time Warner customer service is so bad that you almost have to laugh. I got the intelligent home alarm system like a fool. They came over to install the alarm equipment which is very expensive. I didn't think that I had to watch everything that the technician was doing. This idiot ended up putting a blue cable down the front of the middle of my house that was a horrible eye sore. The cable went through the inside wall and the outside siding which could cause water or air to come through from the outside. The gift card that they advertise for getting the service, I have yet to see it and it has been 5 months. Just go with a company that specialize in home alarms not with time Warner cable. It is not worth the headache, time, money and inconvenience. read more

Worst cable service I ever had. More down than functioning. Even when it's working, the picture flickers sporadically and my phone (unknown to me) went out and gave callers a message that my phone's were disconnected! Today I called to ask if there was an outage, and was told no. After making me plug and unplug things for several minutes, the rep said she was sorry but there WAS an outage in my area for over an hour and they were working on it, no idea how long it would be out. read more

Got these new DTA's for my standard basic cable(that worked for years) and they worked for a while and now they don't. So now I need to call Time waner to get them fixed. I have been on the phone with Time Warner for over an hour now because we have been without our internet for 3 days. Their technician cancelled our appointment and then I was lied to by the customer service person who told me the soonest they could come out was Memorial Day Monday and today is the Thursday prior. After talking to 3 different people, I found that none of what was told before is true. Time Warner is the worst business and hires the most unethical people they can find. The lowest it allows me to rate is 1 star, they don't deserve that. read more

They have much improved the long line process. Today a lady greeted me, offered me a ticket number and to be seated in front of a large TV to watch while I waited. I was 955, they were waiting on 943. In less than 15 minutes they called my number, she efficiently handled my return. Wow. read more

Okay, this isn't a review for TWC, because I've had plenty of issues with them, but when I came to this particular store to exchange my modem, everyone working there was very friendly and the store was extremely organized. I walked in, took a number, and even though they were super busy, they were moving very fast and I was out of there within 10 minutes. Can't complain!!! read more

When living in Cary and having TWC, my internet would work slow or disconnect itself every single day for hours at a time. I would call over and over and get told that my connection is just fine, as if I was making this up. Finally one day (after almost a year) I got a decent person on the phone who admitted that some of the WiFi boxes are old and mine may be one. Service person comes out - turns out they had "accidentally" given me an outdated one. I had paid over over $60 a month for turbo internet for almost a year. No refund. They simply replaced the piece of equipment and said sorry for the mistake. Please. It's obvious that they are not phasing out their old equipment on purpose to slow the expense of working equipment. I lived in an apartment complex where a deal had been made with Time Warner, so I had no other choice. I still have TWC because there are no other choices, live in Raleigh, and the service works better. It was slow at first, so I upgraded to the $70 plan, and I still experience sluggish speeds day in and day out. It's unethical to lie to a customer for a year when the customer KNOWS that the equipment isn't working. They are laughing all the way to the bank with me, and living in the modern world and working in tech, I can't just not have internet. read more

This review is for Spectrum in general. I would not recommend this company to anyone. So far, 1 month in and the service stinks. The actual team that came out and installed were good and professional but anything beyond that has been awful. The phone operators don't have enough knowledge and seems like a circus. I ended up with two separate accounts because of some phone jujitsu with their call centers. Was also promised services that were never rendered. When I called to speak with their management, I was given the "you're not going to get what you're asking for that price"...as if I was begging. the point is that they gave wrong information and priced me for that then delivered below that, and chalked it up to 'you're mistaken, customer'. Also channel line up is bad. Many duplicated channels and 'fillers'/junk channels. Went in just for internet and decided to upgrade to cable and even phone due to the marketing. Later cancelled phone when I realized the confusion at their office. Will soon cancel all the services. Time Warner is the WORST Co. I have ever dealt with! On 7/4/2014 the TW tech. could not get the converter to work. So we never had cable at all. This was a vacation home for us. Was expecting TW to fix the problem. We were informed that the in May of this year that the house had been damaged by water, and could no longer be used. We called on 5/31/2016 to stop the service and was told it would be stopped. On 5/16/2016 received a bill, called TW AGAIN and was again told it was cancelled and that there was a mix up in the bill but it would be corrected. On 6/21/2016 received another bill, this time more money. Called TW and was told that there was nothing they could do because we had not turned in the equipment. We explain that the tec. who came out on 7/4/2014 took the equipment because it was defective! We Never had DTV! And now we are told we can not cancel, must pay the bill. This is CRAZY. Why is every experience with Time Warner a bad one. I was trying to drop the Sports Pass tier yesterday over the phone. When I finally reached someone I was given the run around on why they could not process the transaction and that I had to be transferred to another department. I was then put on hold for 18 minutes only to be disconnected without every speaking with some one that could help. Today I went to the Cary location to return 2 cable boxes and reduce my service with TWC to a minimum. I walked up to a line out the door. I took a number to get in line and saw that I had 435, they were only on 407. With each transaction taking 5 to 10 minutes it was going to be a long wait. Of course they only had 2 people working - I inquired and was told they only need to people there on Saturday. I walked out with a bunch of others and will now have to go back - I guess the only way to to it would be to get there when they open. Again, why is every experience with TWC a poor one. I would recommend going with another provider if at all possible. I can't wait to switch as soon as one is available for TV and internet in my area. read more

TWC is the worst service provider! Last friday 7/17/15 our service went out(phone,internet & cable). We contacted TWC customer service at 3pm and was told that there was a service outage in our area and no ETA was available(standard script response). 3 hours later and another call and customer service states their is no service outage in our area. They know how to lie here! Customer service tries to resolve the issue on the second call(different person) but she wasnt getting a signal from our modem and would have to send someone out. Next available time for service was 7/21/15, 5 days later! Explained that this was unexceptable. Mary(this was her name) states I will call you back to see what I can do. Today is 7/22/15 and Mary never called back and the service call for 7/21/15 has come and gone and no one from TWC every showed up for the service call. We did get the issue resolved without TWC. Once we get out we will never come to this mess. read more

Today, I called the Time Warner 1-800 number listed for Cary, NC. I wanted to change my Svc, now over 150/month, including Internet. I asked the joker on the line, who called me Robbie, rather than Mrs. Jackson, w/out asking could he, what was the current promotion and how to reduce my current bill. I told him we no longer wanted Cinemax, as we don't watch it. "Well, that's a promotion for 19.95, and you'll pay 15.95 for just HBO." Well, I asked, could you please tell me the current promotion. Well, you cant get one, that's only for new customers or if you're moving. After over 30 yrs dealing with TWC in Raleigh/Cary, I assured the man, yes, we can change. The rule has always been, no changes in your acct for over 4 months, you have the right to get any better deal that is avail in your region. He wanted to argue, so I said Nevermind and hung up. I'm not arguing with TWC anymore, and I will continue calling until someone tells me the darn special. A bunch of jerks!! Why are they allowed to have a Monolopy in NC? My moms apartment can only get Time Warner for cable service. Trying to activate a phone for her. First attempt...asked them to ship the modem to me, they said fine should be there in two business days. A week later call back... your order was canceled because you didn't pick it up. Well, I asked to have it shipped to ME. Agent went though a big process because supposedly they have just started allowing to ship to an address that is not the service address. OK, so mistakes can happen, but why didn't you CALL me when the order was canceled? Try again. OK, it should be to your house on Monday. Tuesday comes and it is not here. Call again. Agent says it didn't ship out on Friday but it should be to my house on Wednesday or Thursday at latest. Friday and it isn't here. Call again. New agent says I am wrong, they could not ship it to my house, policy doesn't allow it. I insist he is wrong. He insist he would bet his job that their policy doesn't allow it and I don't know what I am talking about. I ask him to verify. 10 minutes later comes back and says I was right (doesn't volunteer to quit his job), but he doesn't know why the modem didn't ship. An hour later calls back and says the second agent didn't check some box on the form that allows the modem to ship so it never shipped. Now waiting again...it has been THREE WEEKs since I first ordered this phone service and I am still left waiting. Not only mistakes but totally incompetent customer service that 1.Doesn't know how to check the status of an order multiple times and 2.Doesn't notify customers if there is a problem with an order. PLEASE go with ATT Uverse if it is available to you or ANYONE other than TWC. read more

A TWC agent on the phone told me once I bought my own equipment, I could simply drop theirs off to stop the monthly charges for it. What he failed to mention was that I'd have to take a number and sit FOREVER while listening to two very rude employees snap at elderly and genuinely confused customers who had been overcharged. One rep told an older man that he was right about his bill being way too high, but that if he didn't want his service disconnected and extra fees added he'd better just pay the current false charges and hope they could refund him later. They refused to connect him with a supervisor and basically spent 15 minutes bickering with him until he said he would just have his lawyer call, at which time he was, by some magic, instantly able to make an appointment with the previously nonexistent management. After hearing him retell all the broken promises he'd been given by TWC workers, I told the rep I wanted a receipt to prove that I returned my device, and she told me she couldn't give me one. Most overwhelmed businesses increase staffing during peak hours, but as with everything else TWC does, it's clear nobody in this company is bothered at all by the waste of customers' money and time. Can't wait to find a better option and ditch these scammers. read more

time warner cable has provided me with the worst experience of service i've ever had. i am truly at a loss for how such a large company could have zero respect for their customers. in the past month i've spent collectively 12 hours of my time on the phone being hung up on by illiterate sales reps and "supervisors" all of whom i wouldn't hire to work for a freaking mcdonalds. i have been double billed and lied to resulting in loss of $504!!! it is unfathomable that a sales rep would like about a partnership with duke energy just to make a sale knowing that down the road when i get burned they wont be the one cleaning up the mess. i have been given 3 confirmation numbers. and still no refund check. worst company ive ever dealt with. i work in customer service for a large corporation and it is beyond me that this type of deception is condoned. will i ever see my refund check? someone please explain this to me. read more
