Almost a year ago I ended up signing up with Spectrum Internet in Lake Elsinore and have had the worst experience with this company. I signed up on the 2nd of the month, yet they bill me in advance TWICE a month, EVERY month! Yup, you pay for 30 days of service and before the 30 days goes by, they are hitting the bank account again! Attempting to communicate with their customer service is a frustrating experience at best. Talk about being stuck on stupid and they have people who cannot even read their sales and customer service scripts correctly. After being with this company for almost a year I returned my equipment and cancelled my account. Now here they are STILL billing me and hitting my bank account AFTER I closed the account. When I called them, they denied hitting my bank account telling me it is my banks mistake. Banks do not make withdrawals unless requested. My only issue with Time Warner is the tech guy they sent to install the internet service, which never happened, complained about everything. He didn't really attempt to even act like he cared to help. There were so many excuses as to why he was unable to connect service such as not wanting to drill a whole through the stucco or floor which is odd. Been having issues with Spectrum since I switched from Frontier not even 6 months ago. Each month I literally call customer service 3-5 times to resolve cable internet issues and then just recently call about the remote not working when it was working 5 mins ago even if I switched batteries out and told me I had to pay for it when it wasn't my fault the remote out of no where decided to not work. Bill statements don't come out as what they quote you and always have to reboot internet and cable boxes every month because I was told they do monthly modernization. How inconvenient!! If you get a message Retrieving account Info, you have to press the reset button and hold for 10 seconds on the lower right side, then turn box back on. The customer service rep said it was because it's a new box! Why didn't the tech who installed it do this? Lame. read more

I've been with Time Warner cable Internet and TV two accounts for 24 years their service sucks. during that time I've spent at least 5 to 8 hours on the phone with support service. I get service technicians that don't know what they're doing every couple of minutes to stop go talk to somebody else to answer your questions to figure out what the hell to do. when their technicians come out to the house they're great. I probably have them out once every two years. maybe it's time for a satellite dish. again they're not the best in the world by a long way. read more

As some here have mentioned, I also came to Time Warner from Frontier. Internet speed has been very fast, very good list of TV channels to choose from, and Customer Support has been prompt and helpful. TWC/Spectrum also has Apps that allow me to use my Roku and Apple TV on separate televisions, and I'm able to watch TV on my iPhone and various desktop PC's in my house. AND, my bill is ~$120 less per month vs. Frontier. I did have some issues with my internet slowing down, but it was because of my router (which I bought; not TWC supplied). Once I reset it my unplugging the power cord and plugging it back in, the problem went away. read more

Spectrum has the worst wifi connection ever. We had a tech guy come out to fix it and it's still horrible. Go with a different company.

I moved and had to get new service at my new house-and because Verizon/Frontier is the worst company out there, I put out a cry for help on Facebook to see who my friends use, and if anyone had any recommendations. I was referred by a few good people I trust and am so glad I made that call!! We were without wifi connection for a month thanks to Frontier!! All we needed was home wifi. No phones, no cable. Time warner was able to come to my home the very next day and install everything I needed within an hour. After going thru what I've been thru during this move, I really do appreciate good ol fashion customer service!! Now I see they offer cable in my area as well-too bad they didn't offer it when my wifi was being installed!! We've only had wifi now for a little over a week, but it's awesome and have had no problems. I would highly recommend Time Warner for your internet services read more

I just can't belive what this people trying to do to me , I hade time warner Cable for long and I thi k never have a problem with this company . them spectrum come arou d and guess what they have done to me so please every one check your bills on the back of the paper . why because they add channels with out my permission and not the chip ones they add it the spencive ones one is $59.98 and the other two $ 39.98 both channels separate ok then asking for another channel that is $39.99 and hold on yeah they add the most spencive intern that they ahve with wif too that I never in my life ask for them , second I don't speak those languages and not even my husband speak those languages ok so now is that noone wont help resolve a problem that they stared in the beginning . The girl I talked to on the phone right now was so rude. I called to ask for quotes and she was just quiet all the time and I have to ask her every single questions, like can you just explain it all instead of me asking everything. Unresolved problem growing in scope for over a week. Everyone is very nice but nobody seems able or willing to correct the growing number of problems with my internet.. It started over a week ago when my e-mail service stopped working on all of my computers (more than 3) all with different operating systems. I determined that the problem was caused by the IP address assigned by Spectrum was BLACKLISTED. At first Spectrum told me that the IP address was ALWAYS on a blacklist and that there was nothing they could or would do and that Earthlink shouldn't be concerned about it. Earthlink said it was a matter of security and until the IP address was taken off the blacklist my e-mail service would continue to be blocked. During the many hours on the phone with Spectrum they tried many things but no new IP. They sent out a tech who said he was not trained to replace my modem because I also have their intelligent home security system. Then they suggested I go to the local office and get a new modem which I did go and get yesterday on Saturday. I hooked it all up according to their directions and no go. I spent most of the day on the phone with them trying to get things to work. Nothing. I finally made an appointment for today 1 - 2 PM. I worked on the modem/router set up some more last night and it started working. I cance3lled the appointment. This morning, I get up and nothing works again. My son, unaware that the internet was down used nearly all of the cell phone data plan last night because of NO INTERNET. I call them today and they say there are no appointments and no one in the area. They say they will have a dispatched call me. She calls to say they have no appointments but can get someone out tomorrow. Another day without work! Keep in mind they already sent someone out who I waited for who then said they were not trained to do the job they were sent out to do. Crazy. So the dispatcher, finally said she would call HER supervisor and call me back. That was a couple of hours ago. No call. No appointment. No internet. I pay nearly $400 per month to Spectrum and they can't fix their own service for over a week! I've been with them for over 15 years!! They say they will pay you up to $400 to switch from another cable provider....How about out taking care of the people you already have and who have been with you for ages! SPECTRUM JUST TAKES YOUR MONEY AND CANNOT FIX ANYTHING. THEY TRAIN THEIRT PEOPLE TO BE VERY NICE WHILE NOT DOING ANYTHING TO CORRECT PROBLEMS. when it was time warner it was great, smooth internet, good customer service, and a low price. now it's spectrum, and they auto upgraded my account to extreme internet from basic, and started auto billing the new cost. it doesn't matter how many different people you talk to now, they all try to upsale you to adding phone or cable and do not listen to what the customer is even saying. I've had a spectrum rep the last two days in a row call me and try to sell me a new modem, or up my services. now seriously thinking of canceling my services with spectrum. They are terrible. Have had them twice over the years. The service is spotty at best. What I mean is my Internet often stopped working or slowed to a crawl, my phone service was always a problem in that there was so much interference on the line it was worthless to use, the TV is an inferior interface to other providers and the DVR often malfunctioned failing to record shows it was programmed for. The worst of all, though, is there customer service and billing. I never got the same bill twice. It always fluctuated and when you call to ask why nobody can give you a straight answer. So I disconnected my service a while back and believed I was payed up. Turns out in my area you are stuck with them or Frontier who is even worse and who I'm currently suing. These are our only choices for Internet. So I try to get just Internet from them. They spent the last 2 days jacking us around. They were coming, then they weren't, then my wife could go to the store and get the stuff we needed. Then she couldn't. Finally a tech shows up and they start to work only to be stopped by the company who now claims I owe them money. My asks the tech to leave while we once again try to sort this mess out and customer service isn't even apologetic, offers no compromise, and basically says too bad. I was with them for almost four years, four years of the worst device you can possibly get from a web/tv company. When I say the worst, I am putting it mildly, constantly unplugging and replugging the power cord due to no internet; when I finally woke up, and called to cancel all services(5 days before the new bill cycle started so I wouldn't owe a new bill), they didn't even care to ask why I was cancelling, or maybe offer me a simple deal if I stayed, instead, the girl at the other end couldn't wait to close my account. It has been three months since I cancelled, and I am still receiving bills, because although I cancelled six days before the new bill was generated, according to them, I cancelled three days into the new bill, that's right three days. For almost four years my bill always read dates from and to, when and what I was being billed, that changed the day I called and told them I was moving on and cancelling my account. After I cancelled my account, I started receiving a bill, a bill with a different billing cycle, very conveniently according to this new bill, with new due dates, and new to and from dates, I called three days into my new billing cycle, therefore according to Time Warner, They don't owe me any money, instead, I owe them for three days. Since this ordeal started, I have spoken with costumer service reps.,and supervisors, they have promised me that this is all a mistake, and to please disregard the bills, and that " they will take care of it", the supervisors have even promised me that I will also be refunded for the five days I had left, when I cancelled the bill, which honestly speaking, it is what I was expecting from the very beginning; as of today, three months later, I am sitting here writing this feedback with my latest bill from them, this one has a letter attached to it, it explains; "If we don't receive payment, we will forward this to the proper department to collect what is due, PLEASE PAY IMMEDIATELY ". read more

This is probably the worst cable company out there. I made an appointment last week for 8 to 9 a.m. for October 1st they called me two hours later and told me my appointment had changed from 8 to 9 now it is from 2 to 3. There was never any phone call to follow up for any confirmation the technician was over an hour late I took a whole day off of work lost over $200 worth of pay. And when they called me to actually confirm the appointment which was after 3 in the afternoon they never even left a message they called me with an automated call with no name on the phone call which it should have clearly stated Spectrum and then the message was left stating to call Spectrum back to confirm my appointment. Once I receive the message and I called Spectrum back it took me 30 minutes to get back into their system and talk to a live operator. Opened the mail box today got the cable bill. 170.00 packed up the equipment and returned it to the local office. When at the office I learned I was to late and that I would need to switch over to Spectrum. Got lower plan and installed new equipment. Still have buffering issues. Still not happy. Quick and easy. The customer service was fast and polite. Took the broken equipment and had my new set in 2minutes. They did offer me TV but once I told them I don't watch TV due to little free time at home they did not get pushy or in your face like most places. Fast and easy though TWC online support can back up. read more

not happy with the all new spectrum, i have the tv , phone ,internet ,security system all in one. i have a rv and try to close tv cable and go to dish for satellite tv after 50 min on the phone all they could do is lower my bill by $50.00 when i have a dvr and 2 more receivers. not happy with the floor manager trying to work this out i wanted to close my account it will cost me $248.00 just for the security system. when i sign up with time warner i had no contract this is bs and i feel like i'm being rip off. read more
