TWC jacked up my monthly bill an additional $4 again without any notification. I called to complain and the representative informed me that I was informed of the additional cost on my recent paperless bill. True, they do show the increase, but no 'real' notification that would alert me to the hike, nor any explanation, prior to being billed. However, the representative was very helpful in assisting me in lowering my monthly bill by registering a personal cable modem, saving me $8 per month.To be honest, my bill is a bit higher than most because I'm an online gamer, but I do feel TWC is taking advantage of the fact that they are the only cable co in town. read more

After having Internet with TWC for awhile we opted to try the cable TV programs. What a nightmare!!! We were told that it was an easy self installation and the items would be shipped. After installation and about 2 weeks of watching channels and struggling with sporadic Internet connections the box just stops working. An hour on the phone with a tech who "can't figure out why this isn't working" says I need to exchange the box. Come to find out we had been paying for a DVR box but weren't given one. After the trade for the correct box and setting it up we still have almost DAILY problems with the Internet. Every time a call is made for help it has to be routed through San Diego who handles the Palm Springs area. I will be looking into a dish service or begging VERIZON to bring the FIOS to this area. read more

I would give 0 stars but unable. This review is NOT for the store, but Spectrum wi-fi charges. My cost just went from a 'promotional' $49.99 to $70.99 a month. That is a 40% price increase and the cost is the highest I have encountered- even considering I lived in NYC prior to here and paid under $50 per month. Spectrum is the only provider in my community and as a result are charging monthly fees that are unreasonable. I asked about any options to get an alternate promotional rate. They advised I would have to add services to my current plan. I would never contemplate taking on any additional services and further lining their pockets. read more

I have been a customer for 6 years and have never missed a payment, but apparently new customers can get cable, phone and Internet for about $50 less a month than what I am paying and Spectrum refuse to match the "promotional rate" for long time customers! As well, their Seasonal hold service has been increased by 50% since last year. Last year the rate was $15 month for all three services and this year it has doubled to $30 month which amounts to $180 for six months. I have had triple play for three months - have been working with CEOs office for over two months - a dozen service calls - TV still has problems (programming shuts down half way thru shows). Telephone service down almost 24 hours this last week (to 800,000 homes). Cable modem was replaced so I do have internet now. Unable to get appropriate credits - "just keep paying". Am looking for alternative now. They are in downward spiral. CEO's office doesn't understand difference between "trying to fix the problem" and "fixing the problem". Then I got a bill from time warmer for $600. For equipment not returned I call and explained that there Tec. Has picked it up that said I had to show proof I asked if they could check there records I had an appointment and did a Survey the day it was picked up they still said I had to show proof I found the receipt that was no use it was now all black It was printed on heat paper and we are in Palm Springs where it hot this is another big company that doesn't care about costumer service they just find way to take advantage of there customers read more

Beware of Time Warner (TW), very poor service, poor customer service. If you terminate the service in the middle of a prepaid billing month you will have a difficult time getting any kind of refund. We were even billed for 2 months after we terminated the service. TW even sent the account to their collection agency IC Systems. They claim that IC Systems is not a collection agency but the IC Systems letters say differently. Their supervisors are rude and arrogant and you will have to wait 15 - 45 minutes on the phone to talk to a supervisor. I less than two years we had to have over 10 service calls and the problems were never fixed. read more

probably the worst experience Ive ever had. had an account for many years at a winter home in Ranch Mirage. discontinued service due to a death in the family. Technician came out to pickup equipment and cancel service. On 12/17 we started service again a tech came out to pickup some old equipment and start up new service with Internet and cable. The tech arrived and clearly had not idea what he was doing. He first stated he couldn't hook up Internet because the utility box was fenced in by a construction company at the neighbors. So I started calling the city trying to find out who had the area locked in. after 20 minutes of calling with no success. the tech came back in and said he could hook us up? So once finished he turned the TV on and it worked fine. But the Internet didn't work? He said that we needed to use wireless because there wasn't the correct wiring. we have cat 6 wiring in every room and was used before to connect to the Internet. which makes no sense. So now its Jan 1st and we get a collection letter from a collection agency stating that we have not returned a piece of equipment? So i called and the rep was clueless and said we didn't return the equipment? well your tech was there why didn't he take what he needed? So she couldn't help and she said she had to transfer me to collections. so after 2 minutes a got a dial tone they hung up on me. Now I had to call back wait on hold get the correct person and explain again. they transferred me again this time they answered. After explaining on the phone the rep said you have to return the equipment but She still didn't understand that your tech was out and he took what he needed and didn't record it or its still there because I have no idea what the equipment even looks like. So she puts me on hold and once again I'm hung up on . Now its an hour and a half of my time and I have to call back and go through this whole process again. this tie I ask for a supervisor and finally get through. explain the situating and she says there's nothing she can do if I still have the equipment. Wow what a terrible customer service and frankly company that has no clue how to treat customers like people. 2 hours and 15 minutes and still not taken care of!!! read more

I have been a long time user of Time Warner Cable in Los Angeles and although I'm not a fan, I have had relatively few problems with their service! Only high prices! Two days ago we scheduled them to come in to re-connect our existing cable installation in Palm Springs to a box and move a line. When the guy left, we had four cable lines hanging out of the wall on two splitters (one line was already being used), didn't move the second line, but he tore up a brand new carpet installation, punched a new hole in the wall and ran cable along the walls on the outside of the bldg without our homeowners association approval and through air vents and cut our existing DISH TV line! When I called the company to complain I was told that they couldn't send anyone out for TWO WEEKS to fix the problems! read more

Time Warner Intelligent Home is not Intelligent. We have experience a nightmare since the start. Appointment wasn't kept, then rescheduled. Took all day to install and then left but phone was not able to make outbound calls. Then, today, our a/c thermostat that they installed went out and we are told it will be November 10th before they can come out. Can you imagine almost 10 days without heat or air. And, when you talk to them on the phone, all they say is "well send it to dispatch". We ask "where is dispatch" they say "we don't know, we just e-mail them" we ask, "do they e-mail you back," they answer "no". It's ridiculous that any company can be run like this with no party responsible for the other. So my mom has been with Time Warner cable for over 12 years. 3 weeks ago or more we moved I had an appointment to change locations for my internet they came the next day which was great. So then they told me they couldn't do it the had to have someone else come in because it has to come from underneath. Totally fine, but they never even scheduled anyone to come in I called and even went and waited for an hour in a half. So they explained it to me again that's fine I had to wait a whole week for them to come back so I waited and he come and tells me that he can't do it because he can't go digging the ground.... Ugh okay? So then they tell me I have to wait another week till they can come in and do this I spoke to the manager and he actually comes out to see what is going on he tells me the second guy could have done it, but was too LAZY. That was a bit upsetting but it was over and done. He told me someone will come next week and for sure do it. They come and tell me it's easy and can do it, but he didn't have the specific wire. He had a whole roll in the back but who am I to tell him how to do his job. How do you come in and not have the proper wire though? If they can't do it they should just tell us. They are quick to charge us for for the month even though we haven't had internet for more than 3 weeks when they said they wouldn't charge. Now today the 5th person will come down today, they said they will for sure do it since its simple. I sure hope so because if not we give up on them! read more

Would be a negative 5 if I could. Monday March 4th from 10:20 for an hour I was there. The guy at the counter listened but didn't hear a word I said. I have never dealt with so much incompetence in my life. We were transferring an existing account from the guy we bought our new home from so there would be no interruption in services and because the security system is no longer offered in their current packages. We were told to get a notarized form with the old owners signature and our signature. No problem we did that. We were closing our account in Rancho Mirage and I brought the equipment back just as they told us to do. He copies my id and said ok done. I said don't you want the equipment back and he said no, it's yours for the new house. I said but we already have equipment at the new house in Palm Springs, that's why we're transferring and keeping that equipment. He said, my mistake I misunderstood and told me he would fix it. Not only did he not fix it, he spelled my name wrong, cancelled the transfer and set us up as a new account. For the next three days we tried to get service and they always had the wrong address or wrong date. This is my fourth go round with Spectrum over the years but they have devolved into a company where everyone is apathetic and just have the job for the pay check. If you don't enjoy your job, please understand you are in a CUSTOMER SERVICE business, so if you can't smile and be present and polite, move on to another job. read more

Their internet is the worst, right behind Frontier. When watching a movie in Netflix, it will freeze and I can't get it going again and must stop watching. I constantly have to resign into the internet to get to my apps on the tv. Wish there was an alternative, but no. Be cautious about great deals when you sign up. Mine just expired with no new promotions and now my bill is $35 a month more even though last year they said it would still not go up more than a couple of bucks. I said we would be gone for a couple of months and want it on hold. They want to charge me $33 a month NOT to use their services. Spectrum is clearly not interested in customer satisfaction. I cancelled all services except internet. TV and phone cancelled. They were charging 69 dollars of just internet and now their incredibly slow internet is $79.74 for JUST internet! Is anyone able to use another company in the desert that you can recommend? If not, remember that you can plug your smartphone into your computer or TV with a USB port and stream live and get internet just by using the LTE or 5G system on your phone and throw that 79 dollar bill in the trash. We pay about $180 a month for TWC internet/phone/television. About every two weeks we lose the ability to use Showtime Anytime and HBO Go. Calling the 1-800 customer service number tracks you to a call center, usually the Philippines, with a service agent using a script and flatly telling you that you cannot speak to someone in the U.S. After three days my problem is still unresolved, and I still haven't been able to speak with someone in the U.S. Direct TV is looking better and better. read more

Waited for over TWO HOURS yesterday (3/23/2016) to pay a bill, and the guy was obviously having computer problems, so even after my dad asked multiple times he denied the problems and "processed" the payment. They said that are services would be fully restored within the hour, and it's been 24... So we call customer care and they tell us that we haven't made a payment since last month, so we explained to her what had happened and she was very nice and explained that we would have to come in and talk to the employee. So here I am now, after being snapped at and humiliated in front of 30+ customers. This Time Warner Cable location is the worst, I would suggest calling, paying online, or traveling over 20 miles to the next location for better customer service. This place needs to learn how to teach their cashiers better customer service, hire people that can actually communicate to the majority of the population here, and have more than 2 cash registers open when they have 3 people in the back hiding from the 30+ people in line that have been waiting HOURS. read more
