Have been reading Yelp reviews on TWC/Spectrum for 45 minutes! All same problem. How can this continue? Something must be done. Am trying to "cut cord," and called in on private phone for new service quote. Was told $65 for internet, $99!!!! TWC absolutely slays me. I have never experienced such horrible customer service in my entire life. What makes matters worse is that they pretend to care about providing great service and always seem to want to "make things right", but they can't manage that. It's sad that they have a monopoly and don't care about customers at all. It's time for all TWC customers to file formal complaints with the FCC. Their slogan "Enjoy Better" coupled with their baseless promises seem laughable, if only they didn't result in endless frustrations for customers. I've yet to meet one happy customer. When we finally have better internet access in this country from multiple providers, we can all cut the cord and watch TWC sink into oblivion. This spectrum office is literally the worst spectrum office . Ive had time warner cable for a long time and never had any issues. This spectrum office gives me the wrong cable boxes in the first place , ok that can happen, but, then when i go back to the spectrum office to replace the wrong cable boxes they dont activate the new cable boxes at the office ,which they're supposed to do, so, when i get home and i set up the new cable boxes and call the number to activate them , they can't activate them over the phone , because, the spectrum office employee didn't activate the new cable boxes at the spectrum office. So, now , i have to go back to the spectrum office again for the third time to get the new cable boxes activated. Good job spectrum. Wish me luck ! read more

Time Warner by far is THE WORST CABLE./NTERNET provider in the world! I had a morning service appt. scheduled more than a week ago and they didn't show up as scheduled with no phone calls or notice that the appt. was canceled for some unknown reason. When I called to find out why they didn't show-up, they apologized and rescheduled the service call for the same day, only in the afternoon. Then guess what they didn't show up again for the 2nd time! The customer service reps. lie all the time and there is no credibility with this company. I am moving to satellite dish and I'm saying bye bye to this worthless organization! read more

Just received my new internet only bill today. After being told at the local office that my bill would not change and I would remain on a legacy Time Warner Cable internet plan. The bill has almost doubled. I called to speak with customer service and they kept telling me that Spectrum Internet is a faster plan. I told them that the plan I had for years was fast enough. They are basically forcing a faster plan on you, so they can double the rate. Basically forcing you to take something you don't need. They said they didn't offer other internet plans at this time. No options on internet, other than to cancel or pay them their gouging rates. read more

I switched from Directv to spectrum because I'm a senior on a fixed income and for that reason only we switched. In their ad they said that they would payout your existing contract Ok we switched April 9,2017, I have yet to get check ! Almost 3 months later no check !!!!!! THIS IS A SCAM THEIR SERVICE IS CRAP AT BEST NOTHING LIKE DIRECTV. IT IS TRUE YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. THEY DON'T WANT TO PAY OFF YOUR CONTRACT , PROBABLY BECAUSE YOU'D GO BACK WITH THEM (DIRECTV) ONCE YOU GOT THE PAYOUT MONEY. This company is terrible, they will charge you & change your rates & when you call about it they say well we don't have any record of you calling about problems when you've called numerous times. I cant believe how TWC gets away with all the negative things they do. There is nothing but nothing good about them. I just got off the phone - trying to cancel my service - I got hounded, hammered and insulted by a costumer service person. I had asked one question - do they pick up their equipment or do we bring it to the office.Instead of an answer I had to listen to a sales barrage. I told the woman 12 times that we are cancelling the service and if she just answer my question. I finally hang up on her - after 22 minutes. And no, she never did answer my one and only question. I wish I could give this company less than 1 star maybe NO star at all. The cable boxes freeze and trying to get some one who knows what they are doing is next to impossible. I should have called Direct Tv or some other provider ! Any provider would hands down do better than this company. Oddly enough the WiFi and Alarm system has had no issues yet. Then couldn't understand why I didn't already have call waiting (which I wanted to add so guests could call my cell rather than be tethered to the land line to buzz them in) and then had the balls to say because I had Time Warner phone service it would cost me because I didn't have Spectrum. I don't even know where to begin. I have never had such horrible customer service in my life as I've had with TWC. And we've been a customer for years! 5 customer reps and 3 months later we're out hundreds of dollars for THEIR mistake (from a service man!) And on a separate issue, the very first rep we talked to said that we had been overcharged for years on our bill! This company has NO integrity and absolutely does NOT care about their customers. I have Spectrum Select TV package. It shows channel 7 as "KABC -ABC" which is the ABC affiliate in LA. However, that is not what is provided - instead it is all paid advertising shows. Called support to find out why. Started at tech support, they said the couldn't do anything, I need to talk to sales. Talked to sales, they said they couldn't do anything, I need to talk to Billing. Talked to Billing, they said they couldn't do anything, I need to talk to tech support. Told them I had already spoken to tech support and that I wanted to talk to someone who could fix it. Put me on hold and never came back. Great customer service! read more

I went to TWC Palm Springs office twice Wed. April 13 to get the little digital boxes now necessary. At 9:30 AM the office was packed. I got ticket no. 34, no. 9 was being served. After about an hour we left as others did too. The man in the tie behind the counter did nothing...served no customers. The 2 desk staff that were seeing customers were working hard but there were 2 other stations that could have helped people if TWC had had staff. So we returned about 3 PM to try again. This time I got ticket number 35 and no. 9 was being served. Again there were the same 2 staff at the counter, the guy in the tie was not visible. After more than an hour it was my turn. The poor counter guy couldn't even look at me sensing the room's mood. I got the little boxes and went home, vowing to try to avoid this particular office in the future. I hear it is always a crowded. Once home we installed the new decoder boxes and looked at their function. The decoder boxes take time to decode between channels. This is a draw-back for any surfing the channels. Frustrated, my roommate looked-up antennas and learned that even an indoor non- amplified antenna will bring in area broadcast stations. The antenna we ordered and received, is for indoors, is non-amplified (you don't plug it in to house power) cost about 20 bucks at Amazon. And........ it gets a lot of stations. And the picture is fine on our flat screen digital TV. We will go to the TWC Palm Desert Office tomorrow to cancel service and turn in the decoders. I have been a TWC customer for 15 years. Trouble with premium channels for two weeks now. Many channels "is currently unavailable". My neighbor is also experiencing similar troubles with TWC. Now that Time Warner Cable has become Spectrum, they lie even more than they did when they were Time Warner. 1st they told me my monthly bill would be 58.00, I get the bill and it's 94.00. "Nothing we can do, that was Time Warner"..that's the excuse I got. Then they had to install a new modem for my laptop. "Going to give you faster service"! Another lie. Then they sent out a tech. and he couldn't find anything. big surprise. The problems kept happening and they "escalated" the service to a higher tech. I was supposed to have a visit today between 9 and 10 am.....at 9:15am they called and they were "on their way"..it is now almost 6pm and no tech ever showed up. I had to call them over and over to find out why and nobody knows. But they want to charge you for the crappy service, that they don't mind. T W Intelligent Home I was misled with this security package. First, the initial quotes provided by TWC salespeople were understated and misleading by a significant amount. I was quoted that the system would cost me $39 + $198 for 2 cameras. I was shocked when the numbers finally came in after initialization. I was charged $509.18 on my credit card. Time warner is the usual nightmare. At least they have nice employees. The PS office got me bent out of shape but Martin calmed me down and made it right. Just got off a ONE HOUR "customer service" call with them...apparently they don't extend new offers to existing customers so once they jack up your rate "it is what it or you can cancel". Interesting way of retaining happy customers...I'll be switching as soon as I can!!
