Went to this store this morning and Ray, if that is his name, was the most rude, obnoxious customer service rep I have had the misfortune to interact with in a long time. It was as if he was intentionally trying to get me upset. He would not honor a price I got from previous phone conversation with Spectrum and made up a bunch of crapola. I think he has totally forgotten who pays his salary. Make a long story short, called Spectrum in USA and got price I was quoted and they are sending a tech out to change out the modem so I can upgrade. This company must actively search out the most incompetent people on the planet to work there. We were foolish to try and add Internet phone service to our existing Internet product. THREE techs were dispatched and none of them were smart enough to set up the system. When we got disgusted with their horrible customer service and inability to do the installation, we attempted to cancel the 4th appointment (which they kept moving out further and further because they don't have competent installers) they transferred my call to somewhere in Asia where the young lady kept trying to sell me phone service - which I was trying to cancel. Truly - I had to get forceful with the person on the other end of the line and tell her to STOP TALKING and just cancel the 4th service call - and LEAVE MY EXISTING INTERNET SERVICE ALONE. Talk about absolute incompetence! I'm just WAITING for someone to come into our market to compete with this provider. They have absolutely the WORST customer service agents in the entire history of Customer Service. BAR NONE! read more

This place has the worst customer service!! None of the service agent looks at you to greet you as soon as you walk in not even smile, makes you think your not welcomed at all. They don't even let you ask them a simple question, instead they tell you to take a number and wait till you are called. All I kept hearing from the customers around was how slow and horrible the service agents work. You would think that the people working there would care about their customers and work more efficiently and more fast paced since this place gets so busy. The majority of the people waiting were returning there equipment, this to me makes sense! Obviously is the bad service they get. When it was finally my turn and walked up to the girl behind the desk she said how can I help with an attitude and made no eye contact the whole time she look at the computer screen! What kind of customer service is that! The other lady behind the desk kept yelling also with an attitude as if she was ready to get out there saying if somebody wanted just to make a payment to use the automated screen in the lobby. This review is for the entire Time Warner Company. If you can do without TWC Please do and read below! The advertising is misleading...but not as corrupt as the company culture instilled in employees. If I misrepresented or treated people that way I would be in jail. TWC does not honor their commitments. I have had promise after promise broken, not to mention the hundreds of dollars I have lost due to poor internet performance among other things. The "Rub"...TWC offers no resolution to the residents of Palm Springs because they know that TWC has the monopoly and therefore, basically free to misrepresent without consequences. There are no regulatory bodies that a consumer can go to despite what the public is lead to believe as not one entitiy covers the lone consumer against "Cable Companies". No lawyer will take the time to go up against them because they are too powerful and corrupt. Again, Time Warner fully knows this and laughs all the way to the bank and just does not care. PLEASE, read some of the " Canned Responses" to reviewers. ......nothing changes because they are not being forced to treat people fairly. I am a disabled senior...and as a result.... must work from home and without the internet I am not able to support myself. I feel really "Trapped and Ripped Off!" I can not tell you how many times my bill has been wrong and I have been overcharged. Then when I call to try and get it resolved am treated like I am trying to cheat TWC. Once I requested my account be audited and was refused. I have been refused technical support unless I paid my bill...a bill I had been granted an extension on by the way. There have been so many lost calls in transfer and extended "Hold Times" I have lost count. I have sat at home and waited for people to come who never showed. Then when they show the information I was told was incorrect. I have had multiple times where the TWC representative could not even put the system back together the way they found it and I had to pay someone to come fix what TWC broke and would not accept responsibility for. Once they brought out three ( yes, I said three) modems in one day due to bad equipment. Oh, and let's not forget about appointments not in the system, notes not in the computer, but MOSTLY... just plain "Belligerent People" who treat customers routinely as if they are asking for something for free instead of asking to be treated fairly. read more

The absolute worst there is. I made an appointment over a week ago to have a technician come to the house to add an internet outlet in our office/game room. the appointment was for last night between 5 and 6pm. five minutes to 6, I get an automated call telling me the technician was on his way. At 6:30 they still weren't here, so I called to reschedule because I get up at 2:30am to go to work. The rep tells me he can have someone out at the house the next day Friday between 1:00 and 2:00pm, fine. 2:00pm on Friday, no tech, so I call, get an automated voice telling me the appointment was for NEXT Friday. I call them back get another representative, then his supervisor they say their is nothing they can do, I ask where they are located and he says "Over seas" figures more outsourcing. I ask if I can speak to someone stateside, he tells me it's all random and he cannot transfer me to someone stateside. He then tells me that he will "try" to get ahold of dispatch to see if he can get me an earlier appointment but he has to, get this EMAIL them, he cannot even call. Their ads on TV are a complete Lie, their customer service is useless and they know it, they don't care because they know that their isnt anyone else we can go to. As soon as verizon puts FIOS in North Palm Springs I am dropping TW like a bad habit. They are worse then Comcast and I didn't think that was possible. So tired of these mega companies that think because they are so big they can just screw everyone over. read more

One man is helping no one, the other man is trying to help someone but needs the help of the Hispanic lady, who is helping someone already and has helped people at a rate of 4 customers to everyone else working here. I have a really good experience with time warner, they were very helpful in getting me a plan that fits the entire familys needs. The installation date had to be scheduled a week out but when youre the only one in the area I expect a wait time. Other than that I havent seen problems with our services and my family loves how fast the internet is even when everyone seems to be using it. read more

Why can't TWC at least have the news on ABC7 , NBC4 and KTLA (ch1300) in high definition? Also, ch1300 KTLA news has had a high pitch noise for a couple of months. Please fix it as I watch this channel on a daily basis. Lastly, I appreciate TWC carrying ME-TV (ch 45.1) on cable 14. PLEASE consider adding Antenna TV (ch 45.4). TWC employee training is amazing - every one of the 9 people i spoke to greeted me, asked my name, verified my account info and said "how can i make your day great today?" It is impressive. Problem is, none of those 9 people were able to resolve my issue - which is a simple one in my mind. All i wanted to do was disconnect my service. I was not dis-satisfied, I was not unhappy; I did not think TWC was a bad company. Until now. I spent more than 4 hours on day #1 trying to get my service disconnected for the simple reason that i rented out the house and the new tenant would be taking over service (in their name). EVERY TIME, the agent said, let me transfer you to that department. Then i wait on hold endlessly and the call is dropped. i thought it was me the first time, but when the same thing happened the second, third and fourth time, i concluded (based on my own experience) that it was systematic. So i went online, i sent an email, i instant messaged with someone, and all roads point back to this mysterious "department" that you can only reach by telephone. After 4.5 hours, i was so pissed off and frustrated, i gave up. The next day, after cooling off, i thought i would take another shot at disconnecting my service. after going through the annoying phone tree - which by the way takes well over 5 minutes to get where you are supposed to be - i get another perky agent who rattles of the spiel (which is inevitably on the screen she is reading off of) "...how can i make your day great?". I calmly and politely tell her my peril of the previous day and literally begged her to help me. she empathetically apologized and said she would help me before the end of our call. I thought progress was being made... until I was transferred into the abyss again. I spend another couple of hours going through the phone tree, utilizing different avenues, until I finally get a supervisor on the line. She claims my service will be disconnected as I requested, but I have no idea what will come of it. the point of my review is this: TWC provides a great service through cable, internet and telephone once you are set up, installed and don't have to deal with them. However, if there is anything to learn from the hours of wasted time I spent with this bureaucratic, non-caring (for the consumer) organization, if you have a choice to go elsewhere --- YOU SHOULD. Save yourself the frustration. TWC has lost a customer in me (which they will not notice, or care). I am now in the process of switching my other rental properties and primary residence to a different provider. Wonder how that's going to go... read more

I hate this company. All they care about is $$$$$$$$$$$$$! They forced me to get cable, which I didn't want, just to get internet. The price was too high then. After a year of paying their high prices I have to cancel because I can't afford it anymore with the prices on everything going up in Palm Springs. I asked them if I could cut out the cable and just have internet. The operator said yes but the price for internet would be just $30.00 less that the price for both. They put some buffoon who thought he was a salesman on the phone. That just made me angrier. I am going to cancel cable and internet tomorrow. I will do without before I put up with their robbery! Can't count on Frontier either. They are just as bad as Verizon was. There is no choice in Palm Springs CA. I thought monopolies were against the law! I cannot stand Time Warner - I have had them for over 16 years and still get the worse service. I moved and they cancelled my service and then turned on in our new home. I continued to pay my bills but they continued to credit my closed account all the while hitting me with late fee. I call and after over an hour on the phone I get it cleared up. Now I have been on hold for over 45 mins because I want to cancel my home phone. Even tho I followed all the prompts correctly the guy tells me he cant do it and needs to transfer me to customer retention. I am on hold forever and then the guy gives me same ol BS....oh if you switch we can get your bill down $30 if you still keep phone and internet. But if I cancel my internet will still be $68 the same price!! They will rip us off continually...I am cancelling all of it! I don't need a company that I have to play bargain hunter with! How can a company like Time Warner boast of leadership in technology and communications with a straight face? What we have is big business, yet again, influencing government and providing the worst in what they profess to provide so well. Time Warner home television cable service is a joke! There's little to no immediate signal each time I change channels. What I get is a flutter and a spurt for many second before I finally have a full and stable picture. Often, channels change on their own! One second I'm deep into a favorite program, and the next, I'm watching something totally different and unrelated. Maybe I have a prankster ghost in my house. If switching channels on its own isn't bad enough, my screen often goes to black, then displays a message saying that I don't have access to the channel that I had just been watching. Their commercials cite the downfall of rain fade that is possible with satellite dish service, but I'll take rain fade any day over the constant pixilation and freezing of my TV picture that is Time Warner. It's classic big business striving for less than mediocre, while charging for the best. How embarrassing for them as a service oriented company. I'll bet my eye teeth that the CEO is taking home big bucks with a golden parachute for doing a shit job of leading an honest and respectable operation. It's just too bad that there aren't more people and businesses in this world who aren't governed by greed and that actually provide superior service and products. It's a lost art. read more
