9/30 7pm staff needs corporate training and support. Takes to long talking and entertaining room instead of clearing or triage

FRAUDULENT INTERNET SERVICE--SPECTRUM WILL DEFRAUD YOU…read more You pay for 400Mbps, and you get 40. "Try our pod!" That's a sucker gimmick because it does nothing and doesn't work. It's nothing but junk, and they know it, and sell it to people under the false premise that it will "extend the wifi range," when the router and modem is subpar and not even capable of functioning at a minimum level of performance. They'll run you through trouble shooting steps that will resolve minor issues momentarily, and within weeks, it's back to garbage internet speeds. If you tell them they are in breach of contract, they'll try to assure you they'll "do everything they can to help you," which means they'll recommend you buy an expensive $200 gaming router that is third party because their own equipment is such hot garbage. Their app is a joke, and is highly suspicious--sure feels like it's just a toy to distract you without actually accomplishing anything. In short, this company is fraudulent from top to bottom and is nothing but NSA incorporated. They suck money out of your wallet while telling you they're doing you a favor. WTF is that??? Next time spectrum tries to sell you on their "greatness" at the store to get you to sign up, look 'em dead in the eye and tell them, "Eat cow pie."

Back to two stars, US Cellular. I know my measly monthly payment is nothing compared to larger…read morecontracts, but as soon as I pay off this phone that I was stupid enough to believe was free (it is and it isn't), I'll be taking my then unlocked phone and heading to greener pastures. Why? The folks at US Cellular are nice enough and offer great service. Unfortunately, US Cellular partners with Asurion Insurance. I pay $14.99 a month and can't seem to get out of it. I recently thought my phone was inop at the port. Instead of letting me go to the store and having the phone tested there, I was put through an online chat that immediately forwarded me to an Asurion chat, where I was processed to pay $99 for a replacement phone. A couple hours later (Saturday afternoon), I borrowed my neighbor's charger and cable to see if my charger and/or cable was at fault. Phone charged in ten minutes. Ordered a new cable and charger, came that day. Same thing. I tried to cancel the replacement before it got out of the warehouse. There is no way to do it. Customers are referred to a phone number that goes in loops and offers no human contact. I called US Cellular. USC "escalated" my complaint, but I was told to keep trying to contact Asurion. I did, and encountered a living human crab, who informed me that I couldn't return the phone, then I could, and either way, wouldn't be getting my money back. I was called by the "Office of the CEO" at Asurion on Monday. In the customer service world, that's a BS department where they hire the most polite people to try to talk customers out of whatever they've threatened. And Moni was very nice indeed! I was assured I would get my money back, and told I could refuse the phone. That was Sept. 16th. She claimed to have started the refund process. On Sept. 17th, UPS informed me I needed to go to their office with ID. I voice-called, and was able to send the phone back. It arrived back in Smyrna TN on Sept. 19th. It is now Sept. 25th. I talked to Michael at the "Office of the CEO" who informed me that *he* would start the refund process, and it would take 3-5 business days. That means I should see the refund of my money for a phone, of which I never took possession by October 1st (beating head against wall). I filed a dispute with my bank, which hopefully will be processed very soon. So: US Cellular charges about $88 a month with the rip-off Asurion insurance. Asurion charges $99 when your phone doesn't work for a replacement. If you refuse the replacement, don't expect your money to be returned any time soon, if at all. As long as US Cellular insists that I carry Asurion and not just put my phone on my home owner's policy, I am going to have the attitude that I need to get out of this contract ASAP. I plan to be out of my US Cellular contract no later than May 2025, by paying for the phone. Contract doesn't end until Spring 2026. Any phone carrier that insists I carry Asurion will not get my business.

Dish currently has the best pricing and so I went online to set it up which should be a relatively simple process, right? Nope. I won't go into the long, horrible story but I'm now on my third rep over 4 days and between online chat and the phone, it's well over 2 hours of my time. Bottom line, they messed up during the credit check process and ended up "locking" me out because they pinged it so many times. They promised a call back to complete the process which of course never happened and when I finally did get set up complete they tried to bait and switch me to a more expensive package. On top of that, more than one rep tried to get me to give them a second credit card number - even though they acknowledged the first one worked just fine. Super, super, super shady. The whole process was time consuming, inconvenient, frustrating and more than a little sketchy. There are very limited choices for TV service in this market and I believe all of them suck. Know that Dish is no exception and in fact, sucks HARD.
