This is one of those "human terrarium" style Apple Stores that are all glass walls and trees inside. As a Macbook and iPhone owner, I follow Apple stuff online, but periodically enjoy going into one of the stores to see stuff in person. Even when I'm not intending on buying. Currently I have a iPhone 16 Pro Max. I bought it maybe three months before the iPhone 17 came out. I was checking out the specs and differences and chatted with one of the staff members on duty. And he actualy discouraged me from upgrading as new versions were on the horizon in the near future. I appreciate folks that give you the quick and dirty about merchandise. It made me want to visit this store again. Lack of upselling = good value in my opinion. I would give this store a five but my policy is to never give chains more than a four. So you'll have to live with that. read more

I had a very frustrating experience at the Apple Store on the Third Street Promenade. I actually came in ready to purchase a product. Before doing so, I wanted to address a previous experience and clarify information I had been given on an earlier visit. Instead of acting professionally and treating me with respect, the opposite happened. Steffon avoided directly answering my questions and kept redirecting the conversation with unrelated inquiries. I was trying to resolve a clear discrepancy between what I had previously been told and what I was now being told. There was no effort to reconcile the difference or provide clarity. When I realized the conversation was going nowhere, I asked to speak with someone else. I was told no one else was available. I then asked if I could speak with another associate at a different time, and Steffon stated he would not find someone else for me to talk to. Refusing to escalate or provide another point of contact is not acceptable customer service. I own almost every major Apple product and have been a loyal customer for years. I walked in prepared to spend money and left feeling dismissed instead. This review is the beginning of my escalation. I refuse to accept subpar service, especially from a brand that positions itself as premium. I expect this to be reviewed and addressed appropriately. Customers deserve professionalism and respect. I have been an Apple customer for many years and have invested thousands of dollars in the Apple ecosystem, including an iPhone 16 Pro, MacBook Air, iPad Air, AirPods, and AirTags. This experience has completely changed my perception of Apple's customer service. My iPhone 16 Pro developed a USB-C charging issue while it was still under warranty. Apple replaced the logic board under warranty in March 2026. Unfortunately, the exact same charging issue returned only a few weeks later. When I returned to the Santa Monica Apple Store, I expected my phone to be diagnosed and my repair history to be reviewed. Instead, I was immediately told that I would have to pay approximately $499 for another repair because the previous repair was more than three months old. The conversation quickly shifted to paying for another repair or trading in my phone. What disappointed me the most was that no meaningful effort was made to determine whether this was the same underlying issue or whether the previous warranty repair had failed. After contacting Apple Support and escalating my case, Apple ultimately declined to help. This experience has left me with no confidence in Apple's customer service. I won't replace my current Apple devices immediately, but when it's time to renew them, I will no longer be purchasing Apple products. It's unfortunate that this is how a loyal customer is treated after investing so heavily in the Apple ecosystem. read more

I am still shocked, appalled and stupefied by the most uncomfortable Apple Store visit I've ever had. An employee, Amanda, repeatedly hijacked my scheduled appointment to aggressively push upgrades, talking over both me and the technician I was actually there to see. Even after I asked her twice to step back so I could finish my appointment, she kept steering everything toward buying a new phone or computer. The final straw was when she went into my account -- and my mom's -- without permission, then abruptly disappeared once she realized I wasn't the account holder and therefore had no money to spend. That said, the responsibility here shouldn't fall solely on Amanda. This kind of intrusive, sales-first behavior feels enabled -- if not encouraged -- by management. The sales manager on duty should be setting clearer boundaries between support and sales. I came in for help and left feeling helpless. read more

Got off of work after my 8 hr shift, came inside the store to ask if i could charge my phone since I ACCIDENTALLY took my work charger home last week. I was told i could but pointed to a charge station directly in front upon entrance by an employee who i DID not have the decency to direct me to one in a seated area. After standing for nearly 35 to 45 mins a security guard was politely enough to walk over to me and suggest me to a seated area :) So kudos to the security team however the apple employee did not seem to care or show any real concern. If you ever need to charge your phone in an emergency situation my advice would be to walk toward the back of the store near the laptop section. read more

Made a same day appointment online to have my phone battery replaced. Arrived on time and was greeted by a young rep named Leo. He was extremely polite, friendly and helpful. He found my reservation, went through the check in process and handed my phone off to a technician. Entire process took less than 10 minutes. He gave me a time my phone would be ready for pickup (in 1 1/2 hours). He also helped me with deciding on a new iPad. We walked around the Promenade and Palisades Park, had lunch at Lanea and made our way back to the Apple Store. My phone with a new battery was ready to pick up right on time. I always have a great experience at this location and I actually like it better that the other local Apple stores. The vibes are friendly and the guys on staff are always helpful. My recent visit was the result me haphazardly dropping my MacBook causing the screen to hit a table and crack. I knew going in that the cost to repair was going to be insane, and it was! $600 to replace a damaged screen on a 3 year old Mac is not practical, so I took a deep breath and decided the better option was to purchase a new one. Three awesome guys worked closely with me from start to finish, helping me back up all the stored files, helping me make the best purchase decision to suit my tech needs, and making sure my new Mac was setup and ready to go, all while being very patient and also engaging. Also, I didn't have to wait hours to be seen. My appointment was for 2:15 and guy #1 greeted me at 2:17. I went in a little panicked but left feeling happy and quite relieved. I also like that this location seems to be fully stocked meaning you can purchase a device and walk out with it the same day as oppose to having to wait for it to be delivered. I don't like the hassle of navigating parking and crowds of people on the 3rd Street Promenade, but it's worth it for the kind of customer care I receive whenever I come here. read more

Accompanied my spouse to get his phone screen fixed. Customer service failure from management. It took 4 hours to get his screen fixed. Since when does it take that long?? NO ONE came by to give us updates.....instead they kept saying it'll take another "20 minutes". Welp several hours later we finally received an honest answer from Stefon (which was much appreciated). But unfortunately we can't get our wasted time back. Marc the manager came out and we thought we'd get an answer about what the hold was and an apology for the lack of customer service. No l, instead he doubled down and was completely useless. Could care less. As we were making our way out another customer approached me and said he felt sorry for us for waiting over 4 hours for a screen replacement. He said he waited over 2 hours. She took me all around the store answering all my questions about everything in the to store. A few of us wanted to try out some of the Apple classes for photos and video. Highly recommend as a place to get started to learn all about the iPhone photography/video features (there's a lot more than I know of). Plus they give great tips and tricks on taking video and photos to maximize your quality with light, distance, composition, etc. They go over a lot of basic knowledge at first, a lot I knew, but they go into more advanced features too, which I liked. Plus they'll answer any questions you have. We took three classes and had Gabe as our instructor for two and the third class was led by Tim (I think, sorry if I got your name wrong maybe-Tim). Both instructors are great! They have the newest iPhones to loan out (for us 14 and 14 pro we're options), which was cool to see how the pro features differed from my phone. I have a iPhone 12, my boyfriend a 13. The great thing is that they do let you know which features are on which model and different ways to get the most out of your phone no matter which version you have. read more

My friend and I were just there on Tuesday. He was looking to upgrade his IPhone 8 to either and 11 or 12. Max was the rep who was helping us. Super professional and nice. No pressure. He also helped us charge up both our phones since we had been at the mall already a few hours. He assisted my friend on going through lots of settings on his phone to check his wallet balance and a few other things. Overall, very professional and good service. He didn't buy a new phone, but he will be going back to see Max and upgrade to a new 5G phone in a few months. read more

Placed an order for 2 items over the phone and paid for them that day. Apple sent me a text message with an order number and link to the items saying that they were in the store ready to be picked up. When it was my turn in line in the store, I showed them the text message with the order number and my ID but they said the order number did not trace back to me. I went home and called Apple and they confirmed the order number, payment made, items ordered, and my identity. Hm...then I remembered my commitment to living with less frustration in my life, and I canceled the order and found them elsewhere for less money and next day delivery. I was impressed aesthetics and design of this Apple Store. The ceiling was transparent with plenty of natural light, giving it a greenhouse feel. The live wall of plants on both sides of the store and the oasis of trees in the center of the store make one feel outdoors indoors. The employees are all dressed in green shirts befitting the green design. One of them, Jisuk, is a real stand-out. His customer service skills were on point. He was considerate and knowledgeable. He handled my daughter like a true gentleman. And when asked, he was willing to give his informed opinion about an Apple product I want to purchase. I bought a new apple 16 phone so I got an appointment at the store on the promenade . So the guy Alex came so I told him that I want to transfer all the information from my old phone to the new phone . so he said to open the 2 phones so more people came to the table and that guy started to fly around the long table at that time they were 5 customers at the table so when he came back to me the phones weren't on any longer so he said open your phones ,then he goes again flying around the table again my phone was off ,so when he came back the phones weren't on .He could see that I was getting upest so I guess he calls someone so a lady came then she said what happened so I explain to her that he was going around the table hands on the air . So she said we don't help one people at the time . I took an appointment to get help. That is terrible so I asked her why that dude over there helping 4 people sitting with their I pad and screaming over the whole store. For the price people paid for apple product we should be capable to get help . So I left and went to spectrum store which are my carier and I didn't not have an appointment it took maybe 10 minutes to see someone. I explained to the gentleman about what I need with he asks me to un locked my phones then he took them and it took like 10 minutes max to do everything and told him that I was at apple store . They got my phone working again so there's that but I had an appointment at 3:15 right. They told me the repair was gonna be done at 7:30 (which was a repair on a phone I just bought since apparently I got lucky with a faulty iPhone 17 that just decided to not turn on). Anyway, I thought it was ridiculous how long it was but whatever. I get there at 7:30 and guess what they tell me it's gonna be another 20 minutes. Don't piss me off. So then I wait the goddam 20 minutes and still no phone...I'm waiting in the Apple Store past closing time at this point. On the bright side the staff was super nice but by this point in the night I was stranded with no phone no way to get back home since I took the bus. Then they said they'd be able to turn my service back on if I provided them with the pin from my phone carrier. Since it was past closing they just handed me my phone with no service. So genuinely how the hell was I supposed to set up my phone with no service and no wifi. All the guy said when he came out was so sorry it took so long blah blah. He was nice and so was this other girl Cindy. But don't piss me off. How the fuck are you going to have me wait that long for a repair then say some bullsh*t about why it took so long. I literally don't write reviews but they hella take advantage of nice people cause I should've karened out but I didn't. If you think waiting at DMV is long, try Apple Store. They promised 25-30 minutes, but it ended up almost an hour. I know they have a lot of people and may have some marginal error. But this is much longer than DMV based on my experience with any appointment. And they are really nice even though after a long wait. You cannot get mad at them, people are working to help you. They tell me to walk around and pay attention to my text message. Well, it sounds good, but I cannot go shopping or walking around knowing something is coming up and if I miss it, it may be another 1 hour wait. I decide to wait inside with AC and chairs available instead of somewhere else. People come to return, seniors come to ask simple questions, and others come to check out and touch the latest product with their hands. Apple is indeed sexy that almost everyone here is busy asking questions or being asked. I don't blame them. I respect Steve Jobs, not Tim Cook. My question gets resolved in 3 minutes after nearly one hour wait. I have full product line of Apple and I am here for iPod touch battery issue since it is still under AppleCare and there is no way to check the battery health except by phone or visit the store. And I know by phone will make me an Apple hater, I choose to come in person. Expect the long wait even they tell you 25-30 minutes, you can never and neither can they predict how long the person/people before you will take. Too bad they don't provide charging for my phone while I wait and my battery nearly has less than a quarter left. It is still a bitter sweet experience. The person who helps me is extremely professional and courteous. He is surprised that my battery is going through only 57 cycles after 2 years and ensures that my battery is healthy from his device. I am relived. Try not to visit again as I don't hope to have any more issue. I hope my first time is also my last time. I just wanted add more to this. I signed up and reserved my phone to unfortunately come and pick it up from this location. They literally have staffs walking around and because I showed up 30 min sooner than my appointment. They said I have to wait 30 minutes until my appointment is up. So, you have no problem charging my credit cards 2 days ago and get your money 2 days sooner but you can't help me 30 min sooner than my appointment. There are staff huddling and just talking and no one wants to assist. Absolute 0 customer service even when I explained to him. I have meeting and I have clients and I can't miss those and that's why I showed up 30 min sooner but they have no care or regards for you. It's just such a joke. Literally they have to hand me my phone and that's it. must admit, If you have to come to this apple location I feel already so had for you. Appointment only apparently for anything. It could take maybe 5 min or less. So, I walked in and they said they are completely booked and If I can go the next day. No I'm busy. I'm leaving the country. The rep went and talked to one of the colleagues came back. I can help you in 10 min. Thank you. When you look around I can easily say I counted 9 staff that were just standing in group of 2 or 3 and just talking to themselves. Apparently they have appointments with each Other. Honestly, I just this Apple only is taking your money and they don't give a damn about the customer service and etc. As prior mentioned 9 staff standing and about 6 customer sitting on the bench waiting for the staff to be helped. If you pay enough attention you can see literally they are just making you wait. Because out of those 9 staff they come to you one by one and help you. So, I want to know why they make you sit about 10-1 min to come to you when you are already standing there and talking to each other. If all of them actually help the clients then there would no wait time and they probably can help more clients throughout the day. read more
