I just received my Spectrum bill and it was $30 more than last month. They told me my promotion was over. I said then find me another. She said those days are over. In other words, you are stuck paying this if you want Spectrum. She then told me that I pay less than most people at $185 a month. I said this is truly unreal and not even affordable for anyone. In May 2017 we moved to a new campsite in Bloomingburg NY. We arrived there on 5/4/2017, I arranged to have everything setup on that day. It was set-up late, and we left back for Long Island on 5/517. We were planning on returning on Memorial Day. On May 16, our trailer was totaled by a tornado, the insurance company was informed, we filed a claim. I called Spectrum explained the issue and was told I would get a refund of my 106. dollars and change. I spent months calling different people and being told various things, I sent an email to a supervisor with the documents from the insurance company. I also had called spectrum and told them the trailer was to be towed away and the equipment was in it. I was told not to worry. I fought for months got nothing then months and months later they said they would send me 52.00! I said keep it and contacted consumer affairs. They told me to get a lawyer. I was devastated about my trailer and took months to get straightened out. The insurance company was great but the people we bought the trailer from RIP Van Winke never filed the trailer and the title properly. This is a disgrace. I've been on with tech support a few times and they've been to my place a few times. They've replaced my router and claimed they would have higher levels of tech support look at issues I'm having with the terrible internet connectivity and service and cable TV service that intermittently freezes. I've never heard back from them or the higher levels about these issues and they've continued now for over a year. I don't have a choice for any other service due to where I live being a rental. I guess that's how companies like this stay in business. Monopolizing certain areas where there are no other options due to pre-existing wiring. I would give zero stars if I could. Today was one of the first times my family have experienced really great customer service, and it was from this location. My grandma is very stubborn and often rude in situations where she is frustrated, and floor manager Joe M really helped to calm her down (despite her even personally attacking him) and provided us with excellent customer service and even went as a far as to give us his name so we could reach it to him personally if we had any further issues. HD/DVR boxes are TERRIBLE! I've had them replaced twice and they continue to have to be rebooted daily, freeze for no reason, deletes recordings randomly, always skips the first 2 minutes of any recording...I'm at my wits end. My internet hasn't been working for over a month. The technicians are incompetent and clearly don't know what they're doing. My chief complaint was intermittent service. Technician spent over an hour and a half working inside, in my basement and on my roof. He tested internet speeds before departure and stated the problem was fixed. I was so tired it did not occur to me at the time that he didn't have enough sense to re-evaluate my problem, intermittent service not speed during short moment of connection. Also, my hot water was out after the technician left and when I went down into my basement to check if the pilot light on my water heater was out, parts were missing. During the last spectrum visit I told the technician I was tired of dealing with this and it is unethical to charge me for internet that doesn't work. I hate spectrum with a passion. They are rude, they steal from their customers, and they need to go. I just found out they "changed their packages". This removed 17 pay channels from my lineup, yet the price did not change. I called to complain and to get compensated for the loss of channels. Not only were they rude, but they passed me around like a tennis ball, making me re-explain the issue over and over again, which is even more infuriating. One employee had the nerve to tell me I still had many good channels. I told her, and a couple other of their employees, that if they bought a dozen eggs and then found out they were only getting 10 eggs for the same price, they would probably be upset. They would still have 10 good eggs, but they paid for 12. These people think we are stupid. If I pay for a Lexus and they give me Ford, I'm sure it's still a good car, it's just not what I paid for and not what I agreed to. Is that concept really that difficult to comprehend? read more

My experience with Lisa at the Syracuse office was even worse. She said she has worked there for 8 years but was not helpful at all, was rude and seemed to have a chip on her shoulder. He lives in the 13202 zip code,Syracuse, NY. My husband and I were visiting from TX. Internet was to be connected on Thurs. We waited and no one came. Called spectrum, they had his address listed as a California address. Made another appointment and waited. No one came. The rep had put the wrong time. Basically everyone we spoke with talked very rude to us like we made the mistakes. They make ATT in Dallas look like angels. Will never use them in TX. read more

We don't have a choice on our internet and cable provider our apartment complex has it in our apartments... I have never had so many issues with my internet provider as I do with Time Warner, feels like once a month I am calling them about my internet speed or something... We pay extra to have the high speed internet and there is nothing high speed about it-- when it's dropping all the time. I also called in a week ago to request the new boxes that are required to use tvs that aren't connected to a box. Never received them. So I called to see what the tracking status on it was and it wasn't ever sent, so now I get to wait another week for all the new equipment. They did nothing to compensate us or have they ever... wanted to give the syracuse store a minus-20 rating...for MAJOR stupidity. went to store to drop off a converter box and remote. about 37 (yeah...thirty-seven) people ahead of me. doesn't matter why you're there...the only 'quick' service is making a payment. so easy / quick 'problems' (like turning in equipment) are queued behind phone sales, phone problems; cabel problems. after ONE HOUR, only ONE client had been handled and left. 3 'service reps' went on breaks, or quit working to chat with family / friends who wandered in. --- am handicapped veteran. the handicapped parking is on the SIDES of the building, with LOCKED DOORS -- am pretty sure that's a violation of state policy / fire regulations. -- MAJOR LACK of seating. --- they need to rethink their 'we each have to handle all questions / problems' arangement, and establish a 'quick' line. read more

Called the 800 number and tried to reduce mother's bill they talked us into a good deal but I needed to change out the equipment to get the new internet speeds, all channels the same with better internet for $124.62. The girl on the phone gave us a good deal but I had to wait a few days to take the equipment, so she left the info in the account so we could get the same deal when we were ready in a couple of days. Well 4 days later and the customer service can't find out how she gave us the price of $124.62 all equipment and taxes included. So they said they could give us another package that was $128. Alright we took it. Then we get an email that said $130. I called and the local (Rome, NY) taxes were not included. On we went. Later that day we're trying to access ESPN and guess what it's no longer in her package. To get it we now had to pay $153. So within 4 days the price went from $124.62 to $153. Her old time Warner acct was only $145. We'll complain to the FCC but this is ridiculous. They won't even let us go back to the original Time Warner Package. I hope they feel proud of themselves ripping off elderly. Can't wait until they leave. As for the Rome location they were very helpful with the equipment exchanged. read more

I spent several month at the beginning of the year trying to get my internet working. Mind you, I Pay $189.00 a month to these people. They told me my personal equipment was the problem ( computers phones and obviously phones of the people who visit me as well) since they said there service was fine. Not true!!! Now I have spent weeks unfreezing my cable tv. watching a show and it freezes. I can unfreeze it by turning it off and on several times, sometimes changing the channel and then calling spectrum to re-set from there. Last weekend we had a service man come her ( after exactly 2:47 minutes on the phone trying to reach a human and then being put on hold) he spent 2 hours here was quite pleasant and said call me if it doesn't work. well this week AGAIN its doing the same thing. now, another 2 hours or more of wasted time on the phone they told me there would be service today but yep that was a lie! now tomorrow. Then a manager offered me $35.31 for a refund this sounds like a joke but is true!! That doesn't even come close to paying for the hours of lost wages for my time. This company is horrible. When I asked in a chat why monthly charges and fees went up, I was told it's because twc is investing in new system upgrades and maintenance. The problem with Timewarner is the price gouge, doesn't matter if the lines are there already expect to pay for installation, then the equipment they provide that you pay a lovely 10 bucks per-month that usually breaks or burns out every 3 months. Also the fact that the price keeps going up while the service is the same or less.
