I've used other companies before that would never answer the phone, did terrible work, and even though they cost less upfront, I kept spending more money fixing things after the fact. Then I moved to West Hollywood and needed to remodel, this time I called HTS right away. And now just recently my office building needed new security, I immediately made them the first call. Same great experience every time. Don't let the price scare you off. They show up, they do the job right, and you can actually get someone on the phone when you need them. After a couple of incidents where we needed them and didn't get the response we expected, we knew we needed to take security into our own hands. We brought in HTS Systems, who took over our Crestron Home system from the previous owner, integrated everything with a new alarm and camera setup, and gave us real visibility and control over the property. The peace of mind has been incredible. Their team is sharp, professional, and genuinely cares about getting it right. HTS has been a complete pleasure to work with, and we should have called them from the start.

    Buyer beware! My new home was wired by Lior and his team at Smart Home Innovations. I have to say…read moremy experience was mixed to poor. The good: -We have a movie room with a home theatre system -- it has been pretty solid to date. The only downside is that you have to press 2 buttons - one to turn on the sound & picture feed, and the other to turn on the projector - but that was apparently an issue with the projector. Otherwise, it has operated pretty well, with good sound and subwoofers. The ok: -In general, the programming is ok. We've got a Crestron system with controlling multiple sets of recessed lights. After some tinkering, I've been able to create my own presets - for dinner, post-dinner, etc. -The technicians that have come out to fix issues that have popped up have been competent. The bad: -With a complex system like this, stuff does go wrong. I lost my ability to control Crestron lights for about a month. My security system DVR went kaput -- just stopped working one day. I do expect some level of this but... -So far the service from Lior has been atrocious. He does not return calls or e-mails in a timely fashion, and tries to get out of doing any work to maintain/fix the system. He does not answer simple questions about how the system is wired so I can try troubleshooting myself. After many back and forths and lots of waiting in between, I gave up. As a result, i had to use another provider (Circuit Genius) to fix the problems that were caused by Smart Home Innovations. -In addition, every person that has been in the house who knows anything about network installations usually asks - "what were they thinking when they wired it like this?" That does not raise my level of confidence in their work. In conclusion, I recommend you do not use Smart Home Innovations for any of your audio, video, or security, especially for a big investment in networking your home. Professional, timely for appointments, friendly, and knowledgeable…read more The only reason I put 4 and not 5 is due to the fact that some of the equipment was late thus requiring two set-up days instead of one (not really Smart Home's fault but just putting it out there) and the screen size ended up being too small the the minimum zoom-in size of the projector. Again hard to evaluate ahead of time I guess but this also required extra work and 2nd set-up day. Finally could be useful if they accepted credit cards which my understanding was that they don't. Overall, highly recommended for sure. Great equipment with great service at what I can only think of as a great price. Thanks again to Smart Homes for the amazing job!

    This is a terrible ISP and no one should give them their business. The #1 issue is that if you ever…read morehave a problem with your internet that requires anything more than merely restarting your modem you are going to be placed in technical support limbo for days, weeks, and maybe even months. As noted in other reviews, the way in which the customer service works is by transferring you to a representative that at best can only ask you to unplug your router and plug it back in again. If you have a more serious problem, then the best they can do is refer you to their mysterious "tier 2" team. They will tell you that your issue has been escalated and to expect a call back the same day or the following day. Currently, I have been waiting back to hear from this team for a month. I have called over and over again and I am unable to reach a single individual who can help me with my problem. This is a nightmare for someone who works at home and requires stable internet to do their job well. Reading other reviews and looking online demonstrates that this is a common enough problem that signing up for this service is a bad idea. If you are searching for an apartment and you find one that offers BAI connect, I encourage you to keep searching and to tell the apartment management that you will not be submitting an application because of the ISP they chose. Trust me, you do not want to be stuck in this hellish scenario of wasting hours of your time weeks on end to get no where. What you are paying for is just not worth it. I have been a customer of ATT and Spectrum, while both have their failings, I can at the very least say that I was able to get a hold of someone who could help me eventually. If your service works as intended, then great, but do not get fooled by reviews written in the best of circumstances. If one thing goes wrong you are going to suffer for it because they are either too lazy, incompetent, or just plain spiteful to help you get your issue resolved. Finally, if this review speaks to your own experience, please leave your own review on yelp and file a complaint with the FTC. They are defrauding their customers on the most basic level by denying them access to adequate customer support. Further, make your voice heard and force apartment buildings to seek better service providers. Avoid BAI connect at all costs.
