If I could give 6 stars, I would…read more I had a mobile dent repair guy attempt to fix scratches someone left on my new car on the bumper and grill and he used matte black (my car is gloss black) when he told me he had the correct paint color... He also broke the bumper clips that ended up being unsalvageable according to Bobby (owner of Platinum). He got overspray everywhere and broke parts that shouldn't have needed to be replaced. So an absolute waste of $500 on top of making the car look worse than it did before he touched it. I have been looking at getting it fixed for some time now and I came across Platinum Collision Repair and saw the great reviews and gave it a shot. When I arrived I saw a bunch of cars in the shop that looked pretty much brand new so I knew I was in probably in good hands. I was instantly greeted by the owner and I showed him the damage. He gave me a free quote within 3 mins of me being there. I took some time to see if I wanted to wait a few months or do it now but after seeing person after person come to drop off their car within 5 mins of me trying to make a decision in the parking lot, I felt that was all the convincing I needed, so I got him to go ahead and do it. I dropped the car off 7-25 (Saturday afternoon) and it was done 7-29(Wednesday morning). He told me Thursday just to be safe and I get a call on Wednesday morning at 9am that it's ready. That's including them ordering a new grill, new bumper and painting. They are closed Sundays and I brought it later in the afternoon on Saturday so really it only took them 3ish days to order the parts, do all the necessary repairs to other parts not being replaced, paint the car and they even washed it for me! These guys at Platinum killed it and the owner Bobby was seriously so helpful and did his best to get me right after getting screwed over and save me as much money as possible. He even buffed the overspray off my headlight for me and it looks like a brand new headlight now. The car now looks like how it looked when it came off the delivery truck a year ago. They did the job for so cheap too! Can't recommend them enough... so much so that my mom is asking me what's the address and telling me she doesn't care that it's over an hour and a half away from her after seeing the results lol. MY BABY'S BACK! I…read moreall excited to purchase a new car until the salesman dropped the keys in my hand and said "she's all yours". Suddenly I felt a shift in my soul as I handed the keys to my husband and decided to drive my 15 year old van home. I intentionally avoided the freeway and took the back roads back to Alpharetta from Kennesaw. At that point I decided that I could not get rid of my van as there was just too much history there. The fact that I did not want to trade it in was an indication of some unresolved feelings. I not only wanted to keep it but I wanted to have it painted and repaired as needed. I have two motor heads in the family so I knew that they would take care of the "under the hood" matters. When it came to painting, I had stored Express Auto Body Service in my memory bank after they had taken care of one of our cars years ago. We had gotten an estimate previously but weren't sure if we wanted to invest the money in such an old vehicle so matters were placed on hold. We could have chosen to just hit the hot spots where the sun had severely damaged the paint but instead decided to have a complete makeover When she finally arrived home, we knew that we had made the right decision because she looked great. Upon seeing her, my first reaction was to hop out and give her a hug. No I'm not strange, I just know that hugs are appreciated. I really missed my baby! Once the paint has cured in a few weeks, I will be taking her back for be buffed and boy she will be popping for sure. If you have an older vehicle that is still mechanically sound and holds great memories, consider painting it and keeping it in the family for the sake of nostalgia. Actually, since I work close to home I will using my "old school" baby as my primary vehicle and for local errands. The "new girl" will be used for vacations and road trips if there ever is such a thing once Covid-19 subsides. Anyway, I definitely recommend Auto Body for your auto repair and painting needs.
