Eieio several stores advertised having 2023 models $2000 less than a 2024 model, but it was bait and switches we sold that but we can get you into a ... I called Speed nation in New Hudson and spoke to Joe Melville he was prompt giving me all the facts and offering any color I wanted, where other dealers need days to prep and get manager approval and don't have color options unless you go bigger and more expensive. Joe said I can get a winch installed and you can have it today! He emailed the bill broken down to the penny. I opted to wait one day. The machine was ready at the front door loaded and I was gone. The only thing he could have done better was to give me a hat or T-shirt to advertise this store. Wow. What a terrible place to buy anything. It started with Joe. It was obvious he was new. He should have told us. That would have been helpful. After visiting the store and getting the "leave a deposit" or it will be gone treatment we left. My son slept on it and decided to go forward against my recommendation. So he applied via the phone and we emailed the paperwork that was requested. Two days pass and it's the day we are supposed to pick up the bike. I called to find out what the payment was and what the interest rate is and all the particulars and was told I couldn't get that over the phone I would have to come in. Then at 400 pm when I was getting ready to head there they told me I needed insurance. Why at 4pm do I find out I need insurance? So we did. Well we arrived and found someone in the parking lot getting off the bike my son was buying. He asks if it was ours. He then says good thing I test drove it the brakes weren't working. So into the store to finish the deal. While there talking to the heavyset guy with a beard (who never introduced himself) I was told about Joe being new. I told him of the trouble we had getting to that point. Including not seeing the deal. He looked puzzled that I had so much trouble. Then he says well if you knew what you were talking about you would understand the reason is the Patriot Act. Well that's a new one. Any way he told me that he wasn't gonna sell us the bike with my attitude. Great. Found one at another store and will pick up tomorrow. Funny thing is I called them at 530 and by 550 I had the deal in my email. No Patriot Act there. May only apply in South Lyon. That's customer service. And yes I will be Yelping them a positive review. Best bet? Buy somewhere else or be prepared for the run around. Terrible experience. Update/response: out credit situation was trying to build a 19 yr old credit. We could have our cash but that would have defeated the purpose. Whatever. Thanks for the education. Awful from the start. Had to keep going up there to sign paperwork. Extremely unhelpful. Worth the extra drive to Dick Scott for their service. We were told parts were ordered and never got a call. I can't stress enough how awful the service has . So i bought a new bike here, Yamaha FJ09. Sales staff experience was subpar at best. Anytime i needed an update on the purchasing process i had to call myself, rather than being called and told i can come pick up my bike. BUT they had the bike i wanted in the color i wanted, and the price was right. So i bought it. I was told they would deliver it to me the next day before they close at 7pm. I got a phone call at 630 the next day that i had to come pick it up myself because they didnt have the time or staff to deliver the bike that week. Ok, so i went and got my bike myself(an hour drive in 6pm traffic). Then i was told that i would have my license plate mailed to me 7-10 business days. 21 days later i called the dealer and asked for the sales/finance manager(nick) i was told that the plate was in the mail and i should have already received it. (This was the first lie from nick) Later that day i received a phone call from the salesperson who sold me the bike and he told me that they found the plate and where mailing it to me the next day. Next i was told that i could bring my old motorcycle (ninja 650) into the shop so sell under consignment. They picked the bike up on march 22nd. 3 weeks later i called to get an update on the bike, they said they have had alot of emails and calls about the bike. So i went on their website to check out the listing myself, guess what! My bike isnt on their website. Its also not on cycle trader or any other sales website they said it would be on. (This is the 2nd lie i was told by Nick) Then on june 9th i called again to get an update on the bike, because i check the their website and many other sites and there where NO listings of my motorcycle. I was told it was on the website and i must have missed it. Then my wife calls the dealer as at this point she is royally upset, talks with nick and while they are on the phone she is told that they need to get ahold of their I.T. guy and see whats going on, mind you this is after 2 1/2 months of the bike being on their floor. Today, june 12th i check the website. I see the pictures of my bike finally on their site with a listing. The listing shows a price 1000$ higher than we agreed they would post the bike for, it also shows the wrong year. The worst part about all of this is that i told nick and the salesperson we where dealing with that i was hoing to buy another new bike from them for my wife, THE SAME DAY THEY SOLD MY BIKE. read more

I would like to say that the experience at this place was one of the worst Ive had with any company. I had placed an order for 2 bikes back in April and was told that they had a shipment coming in, in 2 weeks. I placed a deposit and waited for John to call me when they came in. @ weeks passed and I called John and asked about the status of the bikes. I was told that due to Covid, shipments were delayed and they wouldnt be in until end of July. I was ok with that and understand that things are kind of messed up due to Covid. I waited until end of July and called John again, he said not yet and doesnt have a for sure time frame on when they will come in. Last weekend I took my family to the UP and received a text that they can no longer hold the bikes for me and that they had sold them to another person. WTF is that? I had a deposit for the bikes, I waited patiently for 4 months, I never got calls with status updates and they sold them out from under me even with a deposit for them, why would you take my deposit in the first place if it didnt matter? You wasted my time, you ruined all my riding plans for the summer and im at square one looking for bikes again. I know you dont care because there is a huge demand for bikes now but Covid will be over, stimulus money will run out and demand will be gone. If you need a bike, do yourselves a favor and go to anyone else, dont waste your time with these guys. read more

Went there on 6-3-19 to get service on my two quads and was blown away by the extremely rude service manager. The manager was upset that I had called Polaris to have my warranty work pre approved. Horrible dealership! I do not recommend. I was going to buy a new 2019 Yamaha Raptor 700 from them. They had one on the floor that was being bought that day. They told me they could have one brought in from Yamaha. They said they could have it by the following Thursday because I wanted to head up north that weekend to ride. They ended up doing a dealer trade, supposedly in a crate and sight unseen. It was covered in mud and had scratches on the fenders already. You couldn't even see the lines in the tires to be able to tell that they were new. Needless to say, I bought one from a different dealership. A special edition for a better price than these guys. They might be local but find another dealership, especially if you take pride in what you're buying and care what it looks like!! Thanks! read more

The worst place i have ever been to , the service department was not able to diagnose the problem after having my jet ski for 2 weeks , i had to come back and show them ( diagnose) it my self , 500 dollars later had to take it back because they forgot a bolt and was told that it was on back order . In fall of 2014, I took my Suzuki GSXR 750 in for some upgrades. I received a phone call from the service manager, they had a break in and some items were stolen. One of the item's was my motorcycle. I asked, "How did they get into your building"? His reply, "It was left outside in the yard with the key in it." My next question, "How did they get by your alarm?" His reply, "Somehow they disabled it, cut the fence, and walked my bike out through the fence". I asked the owner, Tim Thomas, to help me pay my deductible. He was unwilling to give me any compensation towards a bike I had received from my beautiful wife as an anniversary gift. He told me that if I gave him the check that I received from the insurance company, he would help me find a new bike. I looked on ebay and was able to find a similar bike with none of the work done on it for much less than the check was written for. Please do not go to this dealership. This company does not deserve anyone's hard earned money. As far as I'm concerned, I would give Speed Nation dealership and the people working within this company not even one star. After speaking with my wife, we decided to go a completely different direction and look for a Harley Davidson. We went to Capitol Harley Davidson and came out proud owners of a Heritage Softtail Classic. read more

I called Kensington Motorsports today and told them I had two snowmobiles that I wanted tuned up so he said sure bring them in before 6 pm I arrived at 5:30 and the service guy told me they have a rule of thumb that they dont work on snowmobiles 10 years old and older no exception. It would of been nice if they would of told me that before I loaded them on a trailer and drove all that way at rush hour traffic. I will never go there again. read more

I scheduled a repair on my motorcycle that typically takes 45 minutes and was quoted a price of $90. I arrived a half hour late and explained that road construction (which they did not inform me of when scheduling) contributed to my delay. The business was open for another hour and a half; however, the owner, Tim Thomas, rather rudely informed me that he had already sent his mechanic home and I was out of luck. I have a terminal illness and it is difficult for me to travel. Tim showed no interest in helping me out. I took my motorcycle elsewhere the next evening and got the same repair for $35. Everything happens for a reason. I would avoid Speed Nation Powersports unless you want to get ripped off, treated rudely, and/or ruin your day. read more

I was in the market for a new bike and decided upon the '15 Kawasaki Versys 1000 LT. I have always owned Honda motorcycles so this departure from a brand to another was important to me. I went to Speed Nation Powersports and was very pleased with the sales staff. The price I was quoted with the Kawasaki factory options was outstanding. The bike was delivered with the accessories installed and a tour of all the features. I brought the bike back recently for the 1000 mile check-up and service and was pleased with the work. I saw this place when going to get my car fixed at the car dealership across the street. While waiting for my car to be serviced I googled the business and looked over its Facebook and Google Plus page. There aren't many reviews on this place except the one on this website. I was deterred from going into it but decided to give it a chance. I have disagree with the lady who wrote the previous review. First off I have been to C&C and they are rude and refuse to put any effort into helping you if they don't have what your looking for in stock. Speed Nation did not have my part in stock but the parts guy put in the effort to look at the diagram and help me find what was wrong with my bike and then order the parts that were needed. When one of the parts didn't match my bike they let me return it and get a different one with no hassle. They called and emailed me when my part came in they even offered to ship it to my house. The only negative thing I could come up with was they did not carry ski-doo snowmobiles. However I most definitely will go back and support them!! read more

Had a great experience working with the sales staff, they were very accommodating to my three kids and were extremely knowledgeable about the sleds we were interested in. After getting told 4 different prices by the Owner and finance department I ended up paying way to much. After I made a deal with the owner about getting a deal on gear to make up for the inconveniences, the deal ended up being 15% mark up value. No way to do business. Horrible buying experience and is continuing to be a awful sales/service experience. I purchased a new Yamaha xyz in January 2017 which is when all the problems began, to start when I came to pick up my new machine it was not prepped had been left outside through the winter and would not run! I asked that I get the other machine they had same model instead they switched my paper work and I returned the following day to take delivery of that machine which was filthy even compared to the first! Already seeing the incompetence of their service department I decided to take my machine else where to make a warranty claim when I did so I found that the y.e.s (Yamaha extended service) plan I had purchased for $17xx didn't exist instead they lied and sold me some aftermarket warranty which I specifically stated I did not want and that brings us to current my machine is now out of factory warranty and after multiple attempts to contact sales management with no response and multiple calls to Yamaha I still have no Yamaha warranty and absolutely zero information from or about the warranty I unwantingly and unknowingly purchased so little in fact I don't even know the name of the company! They are liars cheats and crooks the Yamaha warranty is less than half of what I paid. Unfortunately I will have to take my experience to court save yourself the trouble take your business down the road! read more
