    Portion of the breakfast menu

We arrived on a busy Tuesday morning and waited a bit to be seated. It was definitely worth the wait. I had the Parisian crepe (it was made more like a quesadilla with brie cheese and it comes with ham but I substituted chicken). And it was fabu! I forgot to take a picture because I don't normally take pictures of food, but here's a sample from the menu.

We were visiting Taos and staying at a resort in town and read Gutiz's review in Yelp. We went for breakfast and it was delicious! My husband had the french toast and I had the Spanish torte - both were outstanding! Service was friendly and definitely efficient. Highly recommend.

Great breakfast at Gutiz! Let me start by saying that they have GREAT coffee! And they give U a 'Big Ole' mug of it and free refills. We heard great things about their French Toast - and it looked Delicious! (Saw it on another table). But none of us were in the mood for a 'sweet breakfast'. So we ordered the Eggs Benedict and the Parisien Crepe (see pics). Both were Amazing! They also had some really good looking homemade french pastries on display, but we were too full to sample those. Next time! Food came out quick, dishes were ~$15 to $17 and worth it. Service was excellent! Would recommend this great family restaurant.

I I found this place on google looking for a dog friendly spot to have breakfast in Taos, where I was going to spend the day walking around. The service was so good. I had the patio to myself with pups. They got treated to bacon, lots of lovin' and attention The food was really good and fresh. The owner checked on me a few times. He was very kind. Great local spot They serve two kinds of housemate hot sauces, too Yum!

Cajun link egg breakfast. Came with spicy aioli and salad.

Incredible food and lovely people. Went on a Thursday for breakfast while visiting town. It's such a cute spot for breakfast or lunch. Had the Cajun sausage and breakfast plate, it was so good and fresh. Then ordered some sourdough and it was just made fresh in house! I only wish we had a spot like this in Santa Fe! I'd come all the time.

Very good place and the staff were excellent. They have a small kitchen so don't expect to eat quickly. But overall it was worth the wait. French toast was amazing and I had the beans with andouille sausage with egg. The Mexican hot chocolate was amazing.

Must eat at place for foodies. Mexican hot chocolate, waffles and pollo borachon were the best in taos.

    Spanish omelette

Omg. The food was incredible. I don't like mushrooms all that much and yet I loved the Spanish omelette which was more like a quiche (it's also the local favorite on the menu). The portion was nice and big too. Food came out fairly fast and ambience was chill. Definitely a great breakfast spot.

    Goat Cheese Quesadilla with chicken

I never thought I'd say a goat cheese quesadilla was one or the best things I ate in Tao...but their goat cheese quesadilla was one of the best things I ate in Taos! This spot is likely known for their DDD stamp (yep, that's another DDD restaurant in the books), and arguably the Latin French fusion concepts sounds as if it could go wrong at any second, but their flowers are well deserved! Everything we tried was delicious. Every staff member we encountered was lovely. I will say, our potatoes were not reheated correctly, but the flavors were on point. I blame the fact that we arrive near close, I wouldn't exactly expect them fresh so close to closing hour. When I'm back the area, I'll have to remember to visit their lovely pastry case! If you're in the area, don't fear the Latin French fusion concept, Guy got it right, this spot is worth a visit.

You can really taste the care that goes into the ingredients. The flavors were creative without being over the top, and everything felt perfectly seasonal. It's one of those meals where you want to slow down and savor every bite. It's definitely a place you plan ahead for, but it's absolutely worth it. If you're in Taos and want a memorable dining experience, Love Apple is a must.

This was a must stop recommended by many people so we were happy to secure a reservation and dine there. Ambiance was nice, we enjoyed the warm lighting and how it was inside an old historic catholic church. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable as well. I will say- the food was decent but it was nothing extravagant or to write home about like others have mentioned in the past. A lot of items on the menu have like one or two ingredients that I feel throw the dish off, so it was difficult deciding what to get there. We ordered the cornbread, mussels, the trout and the bison when we went for dinner. By far my biggest complaint with the whole experience was the fact that it is a cash only establishment, with no ATM even available on the property. You have to drive beforehand to the closest Allsups and withdraw whatever you feel will be the most for the check plus gratuity. This really limits what you can/can't get on the menu depending on how much cash you bring. I personally do not enjoy feeling limited by that or having to do math at the table in my head to make sure I got enough to cover it all. This also makes people look at the menu beforehand maybe online to get a good idea before driving to said gas station. They say on the website it's because "By forgoing transaction fees, we can better support our employees, serve organic food, and boost our local economy." but in reality I believe it's because they do not want to pay credit card fees and whatnot. Their sister restaurant Manzanita (which we also dined at) was not cash only though which was odd if they are related, so something isn't lining up at The Love Apple. We still had the best time with each others company which matters the most celebrating a special occasion, but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to tell everyone that they gotta go there when they are in Taos.

However rather than it being a pleasant and memorable experience it turned out to be a total disaster, a nightmare. One we asked for a table they said it would be 15 mins when clearly there were two tables open which I was told were not reserved. So we proceeded to go to the bar. They had one chair available so I sat and proceeded to order a drink for myself and my friend which did not have a chair. In a very rude and obnoxious way the bartender said they cannot serve people who are standing. I said pull up a chair he said no. I said fine I will order one for myself and he will not. Again he said he can't serve people that are standing although I was sitting. So I went back the host which was as lost and ignorant as anyone can be. I requested to speak to a manager. She said she'd get one. No one came no one showed up but a woman looking very unprofessional in her attire. She just went to the stand and said nothing for 5 mins. She finally said "are you waiting for a table?" lol not hello I'm the manager how may I help. I explained the situation. She said we would still have to wait because the kitchen is behind. I said can we sit in one of the empty tables available she said no I said why she said because of the kitchen delay. I said I won't order food only a drink. I just want my friend to be able to enjoy one also so can we just sit? Finally after giving it much thought which seemed quite comical she said yes. We sat ourselves. The reason I explain this situation is simple. I do not want any tourists or people unfamiliar with this location to go through want we went through. Not only was it embarrassing but it was plain prejudice and extremely racist. Medley you have the worst customer service I've ever experienced. No understanding of the word courtesy and are clueless when handling a very simple situation. The shameful way of how you treated me and my friend is unacceptable. I don't know if it was because I was dark skinned or simply because it's that poorly run. But most certainly had to share this horrendous and disgusting experience I had at Medley. 0 Stars not recommended at all! And you all should be ashamed of yourselves for treating a new potential client in this manner. The blatant display of IGNORANCE shows how absolutely clueless you all really are. @aliciasnowwolf

BFF and I were visiting the plaza and I wanted to eat linner somewhere different. As I researched restaurants prior to our trip, I found this gem and they have happy hour 7 days a week! After reading the many great reviews, we arrived approximately 15 min early prior to them opening as we were not sure how busy it would be on a Sunday afternoon. We arrived prior to the bartender but she showed up shortly after we did and took a seat at the bar!. Now, I genuinely do not like bar seating as I prefer a table, and they have one that sits 10 people but since there was two of us we did not want to hog up that much space. Our server was great and we started off with the brussel sprouts and elote corn ribs with red chile butter. Both were delicious and off the charts! I opted for the chicken sando and BFF ordered the steak frites. Both were delish and full of flavor! We also had a really good pinot cab. Our bill was a bit pricey for their HH menu (116.00 incl 5 glasses of cab total) but worth every penny! Ambience is totally cool, laid back, classy (but not pretentious) with a modern rustic flair on the inside. Will definitely be back if I am in Taos again!
