This place is the equivalent to a scammy used cars garage . What a terrible experience this has been with Vacuum Center. Red flags were written all over the place but we are just realizing them. So red flag no 1. We purchased an 125 Year Anniversary edition C3 Miele vacuum that were were very excited about. The owner was selling it for 699.99. Without realizing it , he was selling it for $50.00 more dollars from the MRSP of 649.99 on Mieles site (no sale keep in mind) However, after some negotiating, we were able to bring down the price by 25 bucks. We didn't realize this until we got home but I didn't mind, we payed a little more than 25 more from the MRSP and this was a local business so whatever. Unfortunately with this unit ; it was turning off at random times after 3 weeks of purchase. We checked the hose , filters etc etc. Nada . We didn't think a warranty swap was okay after such a short time with the machine. Technology fails which is understandable. So we called Vacuum Center right away and they said we could upgrade or outweigh other options. We decided to upgrade to the top of the tier (almost 1k more, a C3 Brilliant) since it was "on sale" for $100.00 less of the MRSP. Advertised as new and everything. We were able to get the price down to $150 less. What a great deal , right ? Well, when I see the box taken from the back , it looked a little off and used but I'm not going to question anyone (I should have). As you can see in these pictures , this is what I opened up after hauling an Uber to get this machine replaced. A machine with dog hair, ketchup stains and a damaged box. I immediately called them to inform them and the dude working the cashier acted brand new. HE KNEW this was a used item. At this point , I've had enough and just wanted all my money back and do business elsewhere where. They offered options but by the time I spent over 50 bucks in transportation and feeling weird about the whole transaction, I wanted nothing to do with them. Here's the KICKER. They charged me a 20% restocking fee for the original vacuum. I get there are policies in place but you just made me go though hell to be given a defective item and the second time around , a USED item. I had to Uber back with this used vacuum to get it returned . I asked if they had another Brilliant and they of course didn't. They said they can ship one out but no thanks. Don't try to put lipstick on a pig. Why would I want to do do business with them ? Oh and the high end Miele Brilliant is 100 less because it's freaking used!!!! I want to give this a zero. It's been 10 months since I brought in my Oreck vacuum for repair and they still didn't even fix the vacuum yet. Poor communication overall and we just want our money refunded back but these people haven't bothered. Just comes to show how they take advantage of gullible people, this is such a scam. We had taken my vacuum to be fixed someplace else but found they had only put a "band aid" on the real issue so it had the same problem again. My husband found Vacuum Center...thank the good Lord. Not only did they fix it, but they also kept me up to date along the way. New part had to be ordered and in this "new normal" of supply delays, they kept me informed. I took my Shark vacuum for repair. Just to have the cord reattached. Dropped it off April 19, 2018. 1 week later came back with my carpet cleaner same problem. I asked about the vacuum was advised would be ready soon. After 2 weeks called back bout the carpet cleaner. I was able to pick up within 3 days of that call. Fast forward today is June 3, 2018. I go in the guy at the register goes in back to check after waiting bout 5 minutes comes out and tells me he was trying to reach the tech to get details. So I ask are you telling me my machine that has been here since April 19 isn't fix? He says yes and I'm sorry. I said give me the machine. Walked out the store. Do not bring your machines here if you are looking for service without calling and asking and ensuring they are doing the job they say they do :( read more

Needed both warranty and personal repairs, and both were done perfectly and very quickly. Friendly and helpful, too. I took in the warranty item and was impressed with the service, so immediately brought in my other vacuum for repair. The dude will tell you on the phone if he thinks he can fix it, and he gave me a very fair estimate. He fixed my machine with spare parts to save money and it looks NEW. They even changed all the filters and did a long-overdue motor maintenance, and in about 2 days. 100% confidence in Vacuum Center. Easy parking, too. read more

My 20 year old vacuum was acting up and I had just moved into a new house with all hardwood floors. I thought I knew what I wanted but because I was able to talk to someone and test/compare vacuumsI was able to pick out a better vacuum for my house. I wanted a premium vacuum with a good warrantee but was nervous spending that kind of money without seeing the product first. I'm so glad I went to their store. Their stock is amazing. I was able to get a model that I knew was back ordered and sold out on other websites. These guys know what they are talking about. If you need a repair or a new vacuum go to the store. I went in there looking for a spool pin cap for my old Singer machine after searching in vain at several different stores. The first thing I noticed was how spotless the place was! The gentleman working there (I assume he is the owner) immediately understood what I was looking for and went to see if he had one. Unfortunately, he did not, but offered to order one for me (which I declined, since I don't live in the neighborhood and can order it online). He also helped me identify the style of bobbin i need. While I wasn't able to get what I came in for, I was very impressed with the cleanliness and the helpfulness of the owner. read more

This kind of small, independent business gets rarer and rarer, and it's a pleasure to do business with one as solid as Vacuum Center. We first went earlier this summer to get bags for an old vacuum long in storage, and when that old clunker developed a horrocious sound over the weekend, we took it right in. The manager, took a look, gave us an estimate, and then after we asked about a replacement instead of a repair, showed us a couple of models not that much more expensive than getting our 20-year-old one fixed. I was incredibly impressed that while the store has a number of high-end, high-price vacuums on display, he didn't for moment try to upsell us from the kind of basic model we need for a small rental with cheap carpet. We bought with no advance research, but having now checked, the price was competitive, and the vacuum itself is a big improvement over our old Hoover. read more

These gentlemen were so nice and accommodating - told me that they would work on 'my time' whenever I needed/wanted to pick up the vacuum. Additionally, they pointed out a sponge to pick up pet hair and it works like a miracle! They did a great job! My vacuum runs like it's brand new! Repeated calls to the number on the order acknowledgment were not returned and their was no response to my emails to their site. They allegedly "fix and service" Sewing machines. Went in to get the flywheel free since it was locked for travel. Got talked into "service" for cleaning and inspection at the same time. Picked up machine a week later with scratched gouges on metal top probably from a vise since they had to open the bottom for cleaning. This is an expensive Elna metal machine. But wait, there's more! They never unlocked the flywheel and they locked another switch so the machine is now completely inoperable! My wife doesn't want to take it back since they would probably make it worse! All for $90 and the machine was floating in oil! AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!! Expensive too! read more

Quick update. My Miele vacuum started making a whistling noise so I brought it in and dropped it off. A couple days later I go in to pick it up and they said they cleaned it out and the whistling noise is gone and it's working perfectly so it must have been some debris stuck somewhere. About a year ago I came in to purchase my first vacuum and was happy with my purchase, but over the next few months decided that the vacuum wasn't the best fit for my needs ( I have a dog that sheds a lot). I took the vacuum back and the cleaned it up for free - which was great. After a few more months it was clogged again, so I returned to the store with the vacuum. Everyone at the store has always been great, but I was blown away at how much they were willing to work with me to find the right vacuum and give me an amazing deal on it. They wanted to make sure that I was happy and felt good about the whole experience. I traded in the first vacuum was able to put part of the cost of it towards my new vacuum (which was also an amazing price). I love my new vacuum and will be a customer for life! read more

One suggestion: after drop off, would be nice to get a phone call back in a couple days about what's wrong with the machine, and when it would be available to pick up. I took my 27 year old sewing machine in to get serviced on Dec 1st. I paid $85 plus tax for the service. The timing was off and it had never been serviced after I bought it in 1991 because I rarely used it. They had it ready in a couple of days. I was very happy with the fast turnaround. It was a couple of weeks before I used it. On Dec 21st I started to sew with it. I only managed a few stitches before the timing went out of whack again. I was under the gun and had to have my item made that night. They gave me a "loaner" but I didn't use it because I didn't know how. I got my machine back on the 26th of December and I started to use it to sew. I managed a few more stitches but noticed that it started skipping stitches again and now it won't sew anything at all. I have tried adjusting the tension on both the bobbin thread and the top stitch to no avail. Bottom line- they have not fixed my machine. I'm very disappointed. read more

I love this store. I have been taking my vacuum cleaner there for repairs for years. Always a great job with a reasonable price. Which is good, because I really like my vacuum, and will be sad when it goes. but, when it does, I'm definitely shopping for a new one in this store. What I didn't realize is that they also repair sewing machines. Unfortunately, I donated my old all metal kenmore, because I didn't know I could take it here. A quick removal of a cat toy from my vaccum took 3 weeks cause they were looking for a part but never communicated that until I called to see what was taking so long. Finally tried my vaccum today and it doesn't suck at all! The same amount as when I brought it in BEFORE I was charged $45. Plus they stretched out the attachment holder so the wand now falls off. I took my 15 year old Miele in for repairs. This is the only time I took it in for service. As expected the belt was worn to a nub but the folks at the Vacuum Center were very honest and charged a very fair price. I looked at newer models and they priced reasonably. Don't ask me how but my incredibly busy wife took a few minutes to try and clean the house today and managed to vacuum up a laptop charger. She brought the vacuum in hoping they could save the charger and/or the vacuum. Mr. Ahmad was able to retrieve the charger, fix the vacuum and did so quickly, efficiently and was as pleasant as could be. We have always gone to him for vacuum repair and would not hesitate to do so again as well as refer him to anyone else looking for help or a new high-end vacuum cleaner. So I have a Miele vacuum that I love. I also have a Golden Retriever and teenagers so to say it gets used heavily is an understatement. It started out whistling and then quit altogether. When it took longer than expected - needed two parts instead of one, they gave me a loaner which worked great. I bought a new Miele vacuum there a couple of weeks ago and was very happy with the owner's customer service. He gave me the same price as Amazon, and then threw in a free box of vacuum bags to cover the tax that he had to charge me but Amazon wouldn't have. When I picked up the vacuum (it took two days to come in to the store) I forgot to pick up the bags, however when I went back a week later and told him that, he remembered me and gave me the bags without question.
