Great service! Car door window had been smashed and I was able to get an appointment for two days later. Not only did they replace my window, they also vacuumed the seat and removed all of the glass. It only took about an hour and a half, and they have seats in the office to wait it out. Also, it turned out to be almost $70 cheaper than an estimate I got from another store. For being named Speedy glass you would think timeliness would be of the utmost importance. I dropped a piece of wood off on Tuesday and they said "it would be 7-10 days for them to cut a piece of glass that would match my wood." "No Problem," I say. Today is Thursday (9 days later) and I call and ask for an update. They told me their glass cutter is out and everything has been pushed back a week. WHAT!~! Why not call your clients and let them know? What if I needed this for a specific time (which I did for my wife's birthday)? I'll go back there again because they do do good work and they stand behind it, but come on. Speed needs to be your top priority with that name, and if its going to be late, GIVE ME A CALL! read more

The staff does seem friendly but suppresses a bit of an "air head" personality. You really have to ask specific questions to get your answer. They just don't tell you everything you need to know or what would seem like the obvious conversation to have. I paid $120.00 for 4 - 18x18in squares for side tables. I wanted a bronze glass instead of clear and the clerk didn't tell me that she was out of it and unsure when it will be in stock until after I paid. I have yet to pick up my glass and hope I like the end product. I may shop around next time when it comes to glass repairs. read more

Ye Gods! These people put a whole new spin on"speedy"! It's just taken me the better part of a week, over 6 hours of my wages in lost time, and FOUR trips to get my windshield replaced. First they did a "mobile service", after which there was so much wind noise from the ill-fitting window that I feared it would literally blow out of the truck. Then when I called to remedy the situation, I was told to just come in and they'd "test it". I specifically asked if I'd need an appointment, but was assured that was not necessary. However, when I took time off from work and took it in, well, it'd be a couple hours, would I like an appointment? Sheesh... So, I made an appointment for the next day, and sat there, to be told that it was just a little leak, and was now ok. NOT SO - still same loud and alarming wind noise, obviously from the windshield. Sigh... Made yet ANOTHER appointment, and sat there for 3-1/2 hours, losing time from work, while another customer, who came in after me for a windshield replacement was handled and left considerably before me. SPEEDY! What a joke!! I've had several windshields replaced in various vehicles over the years, and have NEVER been subjected to an ordeal like this! read more

They replaced a large window in my home. Things were rocky at first because it took 4. weeks to make the window, not the original 1-2 weeks they estimated after taking my 1/2 down deposit. Didn't get any communication from them either so that was a bit rough too. Then, when they got the glass, it was the wrong size. It took another week and a half to come back to replace it with the right size, BUT!, the end result was worth the wait and these guys didn't change the estimate on me. Also, their estimate was several hundred less than the local competition. Lastly, the install guys were great: courteous, conscientious and clean, and they took pride in doing the job right for me. I brought in a window from my boat at about 2:30 on Friday afternoon. Since I came from a fair ways away(not connected to the road system) I was hoping that they may be able to get it out that afternoon. They had a lot of other stuff in front of me, but when they considered my circumstances they were somehow able to pull it off. I want to thank the staff for a job well done. Disappointing experience with Speedy. I advise to avoid this place. My auto glass had to be ordered and I was told 5-7 days until it would arrive. 8 days later I called and was told a rep mis-ordered it. So it had to be re-ordered, 5-7 days more -not expedited to make up for the mistake. 8 days later I called and was told it was still in transit. A week later I called and was told it was in the Anchorage port and that it would be delivered to the store the next day and I'd get a call to set up an appnt for install. 3 days later and no call, so I called Speedy. 2 days later, still no glass. Altogether it took 34 days until my glass arrived and on the 35th day it was installed. So many promises of calling me back unfulfilled, excuses, my frustration never enough to warrant anyone going above and beyond. The communication at this store is terrible. Even though their technicians did a fine job, I just wouldn't chance having to deal with this place again. read more

The business I work for called and scheduled an appointment for a service on something we have had done previously (swapping out wheel barrings). The tech never showed up at the scheduled time and when we called the customer service was non existent. Rep, said she didn't have us on their schedule as they hadn't done an estimate yet. We explained we had this work done before and they should have a record of it. Her response was all I see is a labor charge from 2014, but that is all they showed for a record. She then said there was a 2nd acct setup but it was blank and she didn't know why and couldn't get anyone to come out today. Was not apologetic at all or even trying to assist us in clarifying what work was previously completed. Very unprofessional and poor response to a mistake they made therefore we will be taking our business elsewhere, called another company and they were very helpful and will be coming out tomorrow. read more

I needed a fairly simple double-paned sidelight made for our front entryway. I got quotes over the phone from three local businesses, and Speedy Glass gave the best estimate. They sent a guy over with glass samples, and the estimate I got after this visit was almost double the phone quote. They said it would take 3-5 business days to make the sidelight. After 9 days, I called to find out the status. It took the staff a while to locate my order, after several transfers and long hold times. They said it would be ready for pick-up the following day. I asked about the pick-up location, and got directions to go to the Fireweed/Arctic store. So when I showed up to pick up the window, no-one could locate the sidelight. After a good long silent 15-minute wait in the lobby, the counter person let me know that the sidelight wasn't in the shop but was still at the warehouse, and with apologies, told me they would deliver the sidelight the next day, and that they would give me a phone call with the delivery time. I still haven't heard from them, and still don't have the window. read more
