The biscuit bacon egg and cheese is probably the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had the pleasure of eating.

I used to give this place five stars but after the last couple times I've gone, it's left me a little dismayed. I've been ordering the lavender latte which are usually full of flavor but lately no, but my favorite there is the spiced apple chai latte. The last time I went I ordered two spiced, apple chai lattes, and two breakfast sandwiches. Usually the breakfast sandwiches are light and fluffy. We usually get a croissant with an egg bacon cheddar cheese. This time the breakfast sandwiches were squished and we had both ordered the spiced apple chai and neither one had any foam, and taste like hot apple cider. I called to let them know that maybe the machine they use or something wasn't working right and I got attitude that they make them all the same. But I go there so much that I know a spice apple chai is supposed to taste like it has spice in it. You got a little hint of it at the bottom of the glass this time . My husband didn't even want to finish his. We will be back to Spencer's because I think they might've just been having an off day but twice now when I've gone, I haven't had the best of luck with my drinks. It's a cute coffee shop and feels like home. Location is great near downtown and on a nice sunny day, one can sit outside, enjoy the weather and sip. Chai latte (HOT) is my favorite and usually get that to go or if i am working for a couple of hours from there. Love the ambience, great food and good service. I support local shops and during covid we need to work on promoting local. I visit this little gem in the downtown of bowling green atleast once a week. read more

I had no idea this place existed....I live in TN but I go through Bowling Green every once in a while. Spencer's great aesthetics, great coffee and pastries...what else do you want? I seriously cannot get enough of this place. I've fallen hard for Spencer's Coffee. The interior is beyond cool. Old historic building. Red brick interior. Dark wood floors. Large windows. Natural Lighting. All these items are a recipe for a perfect Jessica hangout spot. That and including the delicious coffee. While it may not carry my Pacific Northwest fare, this coffee shop is definitely doing some serious justice. Keep on doin yo thang, Spencer's. read more

I go there constantly for their chai. Coffee is pretty bitching too. Their baristas are always friendly. And it has the same gentrified atmosphere most people expect of a cool coffee place. Masks aren't required and not all employees where them. They had to close their Bypass location because so many of their employees got sick, probably won't be going there for awhile. You think for a local business they might require masks for the sake of their employees. read more

I have been to Spencer's only a couple of times since moving to Bowling Green but it's a great spot! The people have spoken in their yelp reviews and that's because Spencer's really is just that good. Because of my low budget, I can't really go out to eat and splurge on treats as much as I would love to but the few times I've splurged at Spencer's have been totally worth it. Before I get into their products, I want to emphasize what a lovely space they have. It's in the old downtown part of Bowling Green. Lots of exposed brick and wood. It's really beautiful from an architectural standpoint. It also is one of the (very) few truly "local" cafes in Bowling Green. For a city that doesn't have a lot of personality to outsiders, Spencer's is a window into that personality and history! After being discouraged by seeing so many chains and people settling for things they know aren't as good for them or their community, Spencer's was refreshing experience. They also recently opened up an extension area into the building next door and it's great to have more space. I've had their hot tea, one of their turkey sandwiches (wow- delicious), and I've tried a sip of their cold brew iced coffee! All excellent items and I just wish my budget allowed me to try the rest of the menu. The service has been attentive and kind whenever I have visited. I hope to be back very soon! read more

Moving to Bowling Green from Florida instantly got better finding Spencer's. Excellent coffee. I had an iced mocha while my husband had a latte. Both were excellent which can be difficult to pull a shot that tastes good both hot and iced. Their coffee is roasted by sunergos which is a roaster in Louisville. They were happy to use our personal to-go cups and it appeared that they had reusable service-ware for their dine in patrons. We visited the fountain square location but they also have a location a few blocks away from the downtown area read more

Got here on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving at around 8:30am. It wasn't crowded at all but still had enough people to feel comfortable and welcoming (don't know if it gets worse on non-holiday weeks). I had a really nice cup of tea (so many places don't use boiling water so tea tastes weak, this place did not make that mistake) and a deliciously moist slice of coffee cake. Stayed to work for several hours and their WiFi was fast and they had plenty of power outlets for recharging. Perfect! I don't live in the area but would make this a regular spot if I did. read more

great little coffee shop in bowling green. staff all wearing masks... patrons not so much. ordered their seasonal latte- pistachio with cinnamon, as well as their chicken salad sandwich. drink wasnt too sweet (as promised by the barista) but had great flavor. chicken salad sandwich was fine- not too much mayo, thin wheat bread. free wifi and plenty of seats, so you dont feel rushed to give up your table. bathrooms are also very clean. a nice option for the area! read more

Love the location of this place! Checked it out on a Saturday while in town for a wedding. Plenty of seating to chat work or hang. They have some of their own brand of tumblers and travel mugs which I appreciated the quality of them. Cortado was yummy as were the couple sips of the Cubano and cappuccino I snagged from my friends to try. I brought home a bag of their Mexico Chiapas Triunfo home with me which smelled amazing. After reading reviews we had high hopes coming here. We love trying new coffee&tea cafes wherever we go so when we came to town, of course we had to stop in! My husband got a Cubano (a classic and his favorite!) and was slightly disappointed. It was very creamy, but didn't have much of the sweetness from sweetened condensed milk. He's definitely had better. I got an Apple chai latte which is a seasonal item and reading the description it sounded amazing.. but when I got it I was shocked to find out it was sour! My first thought was bad milk.. but no.. it was just the "Apple" flavor they used.. I ended up having to choke it down.. Aside from our drinks, the staff was fairly nice and it seems like a good meetup place. If we were local we'd probably give them another shot but being from out of town, this was a bad enough experience that I'd try somewhere else next time. read more

Spencer's is seriously the bomb. THE coffee place to be in Bowling Green, unmatched. It's honestly such a vibe. From the leather aprons that the baristas wear, to the study area for all of the college students. I haven't tried a single thing from there that I didn't love. The breakfast burritos are IT and the cookies are great too! It's the perfect mix of a work space and a coffee date spot. Perfect place to get away and still be right on the square of "downtown". The chicken salad was obviously store bought. The staff was into their own conversation. The "special" tea was highly overrated. The building was the best part of the trip. Loved the exposed brick and laid back decor. If you go, don't expect much food/drink wise, but take a minute to take in the surrounding. read more

Spencer's is hands-down the best coffee shop in Bowling Green. All the baked goods are amazing, as are the coffees, but my favorite thing they serve is the dirty chai latte. It's amazing hot or iced, and I've never had one better than they make it at Spencer's. The shop is at a great location on the square, but during the semester when WKU is in session, it gets absolutely slammed with studying students so it is crowded. (But that's not Spencer's fault -- they make great stuff!) read more

Coffee is fine. Don't bother asking for a plain bagel because every time they will give you biscuit. They seem to have a high error rate for drive through orders. Don't really understand how it can be so easy to mix a bagel and biscuit up. Save your money and time and just go to Q Coffee Emporium. read more

Place was busy. Young woman who took my order was friendly. Took forever to get my coffee and there was one person ahead of me. Young woman making the coffee was too busy just standing and talking to her co-worker. I believe my coffee would have been great had it been made correctly. I asked if my iced mocha could be half sweet. I was assured it was not a problem and would only have 1 pump of mocha. Great. I'm not a huge coffee person but everyone seems to love their coffee. Unfortunately their tea selection is pretty basic. Food wise, everything I've tried has been solid. Great little coffee shop in downtown Bowling Green. My husband and I were visiting the Lost River cave, and it happened to be Labor Day, so lots of places were closed. Spencer's was pretty much the only place within walking distance that was open to get lunch. A happy accident! From outside, we could smell the refreshing scent of fresh coffee. It was around 2 PM but there were still plenty of people there (but room to sit down.) We both got iced coffee, which came from a tap...perhaps that trendy nitro coffee? Delicious! Also, bottled craft beer was available, so take note of that! We both got the Californian sandwich, which was pretty darn good, especially the sprouts and zesty mustard. The only reason for the missing star is that it was supposed to come with avocado and it didn't. Which is, in my opinion, a pretty terrible mistake, but that's how good the sandwich was regardless! Best coffee probably ever. Seriously, though. I've never had a coffee and thought that it beat Spencer's. The chai latte is out of this world; if you're sensitive to too much sweetness, ask for it half-sweet or make it dirty with a shot of espresso. Their breakfast sandwiches are killer, sub country ham if you're a fan of that. The lunch sandwiches and soups are wonderful too. Can't wait until they can host events again. Made a quick stop for lunch on our way to Mammoth Cave, and boy was I impressed! We got a Harvest Focaccia (spring mix, avocado, banana peppers, red peppers, red onion, sundried tomato w/ balsamic and feta) and a Ratatouille Avocado Toast (avocado, tomato, eggplant, zucchini, whipped cream cheese and chopped basil).
