Today was our first time here and count us as fans! I would say that they miss being truly great by just a tad. I loved my Golden Chicken Wing appetizer. They were super crispy with a juicy interior served with a yummy dipping sauce. Hubby loved his Fish Cakes and while I thought the flavor was good I was not in love with the spongy texture. (probably authentic, but not my preference) My Crispy Tilapia with Tamarind sauce was delicious but the fish was buried beneath a huge pile of vegetables and the crispiness suffered as a result. Also, I'm not sure why there was chopped lettuce beneath the rice-strange. And the crispy onion topping I was looking forward to was missing. So, when I get this again (and I will) I will make sure to ask for the fish on top of the veggies. Hubby got the Duck with Thai Basil sauce-lovely duck, delicious sauce and nice vegetables. Finally the rice pudding was a surprise-very different from the Indian style I was envisioning and yet yummy in its own way (warm and gelatinous) Everything was beautifully presented. The restaurant and bathroom were spotless. And service was super attentive. From the crowd we found on a Wednesday at lunch it is obvious that word has gotten out about how good this place is. 'Solid" is the word I would use for Spice & Dice. I remember when Thai Food in Baltimore was a mysterious cuisine very few of us had tasted. My first experience was at the original 'Thai" restaurant on Greenmont near 33rd (Think Memorial Stadium, but not the good neighborhood). We would order the standard 'Pad Thai" and always add a few different dishes that we had no idea about before we tasted. Then Thai Landing on Charles street, Bangkok in Columbia and many other Thai restaurants opened in and around Baltimore. These days Thai food is neither exotic or hard to find, and I am glad. I like all Pacific Rim cuisines, but find that Thai food is very light and an effort to make the dish look attractive is almost as important as the flavor. Spice and Dice does a good job at both. They will adjust the spice level to anything from mild to knock your socks off hot. If you have a member of your group that doesn't like Thai food, they have added the adjacent "Noodle Charm" restaurant they owned next door to their space, and have a combined menu. Make a reservation on a weekend night, but with the larger space they have now, even if you have to wait it wont be a long one. read more

I was very disappointed with my food today and the previous time before; I am convinced that standard of food had went down since the pandemic. I always order at least $50 dollars in food and lately I feel as if this restaurant just robbing me of my money. The pad Thai tasted like nothing and the red curry tasted like someone just mixed coconut milk and red curry paste from the grocery store together - both dishes had no flavor at all. I am pretty relaxed with Thai food flavors because I know it varies from spot to spot but this was awful. I would have requested a refund if I were dining in - ended up throwing this away and eating Mac and cheese instead. read more

I would recommend, however, getting the fishes with extra protein, they don't seem to put enough beef/chicken for our taste. But the noodles are great and seasoned well. Today I tried the Pad Thai noodles with chicken and shrimp. The dish was tasty and very filling. Enough for 2-3 servings. I also requested to add 2 vegetables, carrots and broccoli. a takeout review This little place is pretty good! I placed my order for takeout in the restaurant and waited while they got it together. The staff was really friendly and helpful in giving me suggestions for the type of coffee I wanted! I ended up getting the green curry with veggies and tofu, with a Thai iced coffee. Everything came out really quickly and I was impressed! They definitely didn't skimp on the portion of the curry, and the container was filled to the brim. The curry was just spicy enough and the veggies tasted really fresh! The only odd part was that there were still huge chunks of ginger in the curry, which I accidentally ate thinking it was a potato . Other than that it was great! This is why I love Yelpers! I never would have found this place if it weren't for this beloved bunch. I visited at 8pm on Grand Prix Sunday. I was dying for some decent Thai food, but there was no way that I was going to drive to Federal Hill to get it. On a whim, I searched for Thai food in Towson, and voila! What we ordered and how we loved it: Cheesy Rolls- crispy (but not greasy) spring rolls filled with potatoes and cheese with delicious chili mayo sauce- might sound heavy, but they're not. Jasmine Rice Soup- jasmine rice, chicken, ginger, and cilantro in a tasty clear broth. I believe there is a bit of lemongrass in there too- slurping recommended. Vegetarian Pad Thai- chock full of fresh vegetables( cabbage, carrots, zucchini, broccoli), egg, scallions, and bean sprouts topped with ground roasted peanuts and a lime wedge on the side- hands down, the best Pad Thai that I have ever had (and I've been to my share of very good Thai restaurants). It was even good the second day for lunch. Drunken Duck with sautéed string beans, carrots, sweet onions and peppers in a Thai basil sauce.- highly recommended by many Yelpers for good reason. The meat was so smooth and buttery. With the exception Honey Ginger tea, we loved everything equally like a mother loves her children. I was craving for hot/heat and spicy food while I was in Baltimore area. I found this place on yelp, I was debating between Drunken noodles and Curry. I wanted it without meat and eggs, I was advised by them that drunken noodles can't be good without egg!! Opted for green curry, it came out with huge portion and Jasmine rice. Curry had enough heat and spicy with very good curry flavor not like with more coconut milk at other places. Had their ice tea with cream. Wanted to try their desserts but was full by the time I had my half the curry with rice. For sure, will try noodles, soups and dessert next time. Yes this place is connected to the comic shop Legends. Thai food and comic books is pretty win in my book. I came here when they first opened and was not let down. I love Spice and Dice! We visit here often during the week for lunch. The lunch specials are pretty amazing. You get a free appetizer and dessert with your entree, which range from $8-10 or so. The appetizers and desserts change quite frequently. Veggie spring rolls are pretty typical, but we've also gotten crab wontons and soup. Desserts have ranged from ice cream to fresh fruit. I've enjoyed almost every entree I've tried. The drunken noodles are a little sweeter than I've had at other places and not very spicy, but chock full of fresh basil. The curry is always delicious. And all the stir fry dishes. I did get the udon noodle soup once, which I would not recommend. You can ask for a regular dinner menu during lunch to order any extra appetizers or side soups, etc. The cheesy potato spring rolls are ridiculous and delicious. This place is in a small strip mall attached to a comic book shop. They have recently remodeled and built a real wall between the comic book store and the restaurant. The decor is pretty kistchy and it does have a lot of DIY touches. It's not fancy pantys, but a great place to stop in for some delicious fresh food. Service can be kind of hit or miss. It was completely over salted and I like salt. To me, it was almost inedible. However, they made it up to 4 stars because the other dishes we ordered was really good. Drunken noodle and these Pork Skewers (ORDER THEM) so good! This place is also great if you are gluten free. Then after a while, and this place does take a while FYI, you receive a heaping portion of delicious pad thai! After eating half and getting a box for tomorrow you get (surprise #2) desert! It used to always be ice cream, but lately it is a fruit bowl. That entire meal (including leftovers for tomorrow) runs about $10 after tip... thats for three courses! I love this place- it is casual and a little quirky. The restaurant def looks like romper room- it has lots of bright colors and a hodge podge of tables and chairs but the food is fantastic. Northern Baltimore has really been lacking in the Thai area for the past few years (since San Sushi went downhill) and this place makes up for that. It is consistently great. It is BYOB which is nice and everything is priced really well. The Tom Yum Kai- is delious! I have been here twice. The first time, everything was amazing!!! I would have given the place a five star review after that experience. The servers were helpful and hilarious - questioning our yearning for level 3 and 4 spiciness. We had the red curry chicken, hot and sour soup with shrimp, papaya salad and duck curry. All of them were perfect. I wish I could go back and guarantee the same exact meal every time. The second time we ate here, it was not a great experience. We ordered the food spicy and it was not spicy. Our most favorite soup in the entire universe was so salty I couldn't finish mine. The papaya salad only had two prawns in it. And the worst part was, our server didn't understand our comments when we tried to tell her the food wasn't great. Later, once we were done, the other guy that works there stopped by to see how we were, and by that time, I just wanted to leave. No doubt, this place has some of the best Thai food! My friend and I came here for a lunch date and we split orders of Yakizoba and Drunken Noodles. Awesome combination of flavors, and I love that you can request the level of spiciness to match your tastes. Mango ice cream was the perfect way to round out the meal! My friend ordered a ginger tea and it was really intense, not her "cup of tea" (ha). Service was a little slow, but that sometimes happens when you have multiple servers. No biggie. Went to this place the other day at work with my boss for lunch. I got the tofu pad thai and it was great. The tofu was really good in it, not soggy or little pieces like some places I have had. I got it a little spicy and it was great! My boss got the drunken noodle and ordered it spicy. It didn't seem to be as spicy as he would have liked but they bring out spicy sauces to add and that made it just right. The food did come out quick but there were only a few people in the restaurant. The decorations are a bit odd but it almost looks unfinished. The place is new so maybe they aren't done. It is adjoined to a comic book store but you can't actually see comic books while you are eating. I didn't think the lunch prices were too expensive. We got an eggroll, the entree and a dessert for around $10. I also took 1/2 my meal home with me. Will be returning to this place. What a disaster this last experience was! I've ordered take out once and ate in about twice before which were fine experiences but this last time was disappointing. 1. Only one waiter served on this Thursday evening for the whole restaurant. 2. Had to give back a drunken noodles dish. It had a horrible, spoiled smell to it. I still tried it. Every time I've come here or gotten takeout, I've had a stellar meal. It's hands-down my favorite Thai restaurant in all the land! :] The portions are great. I always have enough leftover to enjoy a second meal, and I look forward to it (normally I hate leftovers). The vegetables are plentiful, perfectly cooked, and the dish is seasoned exactly the way you want it (they give you a spice option level of 1-3. I like very spicy food and usually get the 3 - it satisfies). Wait staff can be mediocre, but I often see the manager helping out and asking each table how the food is; I appreciate that. The atmosphere is quaint and soothing. I want to try so many different things on the menu but their panang curry with squid is my go-to! Found this place on Groupon. Paid $17 for $30 worth of food for two or more people. The restaurant is connected to another restaurant and they've seem to have joined together. One menu with both menu items from each restaurant. The decor is very nice to look at, the food is another story. Everything was absolutely amazing! Started with the veggie lemongrass soup. Loved it! Definitely has some heat to it, so beware. As an entree I got the beef drunken noodles. I am very happy to say I will order this again and again. This is our new go to restaurant. The best pad thai and spring rolls I have ever eaten. The portions are huge, served fresh and properly spiced. If you like your food spicy hot, they will gladly add extra heat. If heat isn't your thing, there are several other entrees. I personally find the heat to be mild. It allows you to taste the other fresh spices. The staff must like working there and it shows. Everyone has a smile on their face. There is always a positive vibe. I think you will enjoy it. read more
