    Orange Chicken

After a day in the Baltimore area with my fiancé and best friend on Veteran's Day we concluded by stopping here for kosher Asian food and to go shopping at 7 Mile Market. I remember several years ago my parents and I went to their predecessor restaurant which was called Unami. We came in and the staff was very friendly and service was great and attentive throughout the meal. This contrasts with service often from kosher restaurants being subpar due to lack of competition. One thing the staff makes you aware of is many find spicy to be too spicy for them which is not surprising for the mostly Ashkenazi (Central and Eastern European) Jewish customer base, but the spice levels are similar or even lower than most Asian restaurants. We started with soups which were the Thai Chicken Noodle, Subgum Wonton, and Wonton all which were very delicious. Then we shared two sushi rolls, the Godzilla Roll and Rainbow Roll. The sushi was some of the best we've had and the portions were very generous. My fiancé and I shared both the Drunken Noodles and Orange Chicken which we loved and had some to take home for lunch. Our friend ordered the Pad Thai. We were all very impressed and would love to take family and friends sometime. I look forward to coming back sometime we are back in the area. I only wish DC or Montgomery County had a place like this.

Ran into this place as I was driving by decided to check it out. Food actually is really good. This was a lunch special for $18. Which is a lot of food. Edamame was an extra six dollars, which is not bad.

This review is specifically for their online ordering and pick up as I did not dine in! I was in the mood for Thai cuisine when I was in the area and found this place on Yelp with good reviews. I ordered the Thai Lunch Special online which included my choice of a Thai entree, a side, and rice. Naturally I went for the pad Thai with a spring roll and white rice. The meal itself was $12 which is a bargain. It took about 20 minutes for my food to be ready for pick up. Finding the restaurant was a little difficult as it is in a strip mall that can be accessed by two opposing parking lots. But I found the place nonetheless! The pick up process was really easy. I just walked in and the host asked for my name and gave me my bag of food. The food itself was decent. Defiantly good portions for the money I spent but I honestly was not "wowed" by the taste. The spring roll was tasty and classic. The rice was extremely oily because it was next to the pad Thai. The bottom of the rice was literally soaked in orange grease. Not very appealing. The pad Thai hit the flavor profile I was looking for, however it was basically all rice noodle and a few pieces of chicken. I'm used to pad Thai coming with a lot of bamboo chutes and chives. I found very little of these ingredients in this dish. Overall I enjoyed the food because I got a lot of it for a good price. I would come back here again to try out their other dishes and dine in for the service experience. And that's the truth

Randomly in this area and wanted to get thai so we decided to try this restaurant. This was a great find from start to finish and would definitely go back again if in the area. We had a party of 4 for lunch and decided to all get lunch specials but different ones so we could try different things. We tried the sesame chicken, drunken noodles, sweet and sour chicken and lo mein noodles. All lunch specials came with an egg roll or soup and white rice. We tried the egg drop soup, beef eggroll and another soup and all were great. Our entrees were good portions especially for lunch and our favorite was the sweet and sour chicken. Our waitress was helpful and got anything we needed. One thing to note is that they add an 18% gratuity to the check before you even pay. Overall our meal was great and we would definitely go again!Small restaurant but it seemed like they did a lot of take out.

Basel fried rice with a few sprigs of Basel... underwhelming!!

Who ever heard of kosher Thai. I hadn't. Had a terrific lunch with my son-in-law there. Food was delicious and service grand. I'll be back.

** 5 year update **…read more Contrary to the last review I wrote, nope. This place has seen the last of me!! This place is 2 towns away and not worth the drive these days. I parked on the back lot where I've always parked, and entered through the rear entrance. The walls and carpet are filthy, the bathrooms smell backed up, dining area was outdated, etc. Welp, on this visit, we ordered Shrimp & Broccoli Lunch Special, Sesame Chicken Lunch Special, and a Small Shrimp Toast order. It was so bad, I didn't take any pics. The Shrimp & Broccoli Lunch Special was less than average in preparation and taste. Kept me in the bathroom for 24 hours. The Shrimp Toast went straight in the trash. I took a small bite of each. I have no idea what the taste experienced was. I treated someone to the Sesame Chicken, and I'm embarrassed to ask her thoughts. It was def a great 30 year run. That's it, that's all.

Never a disappointment. Food was 10/10, chicken was fried well and they don't skip out on the…read moreshrimp for shrimp fried rice. We love that! This time around I have a 4/5 for stars because I am accustomed to being able to get a combo meal of rice and chicken but for here you have to order them separately. That is a bit costly for one person. The only option you have to get rice and meat together is there pork options and as someone who doesn't like to eat pork or red meat too often I don't benefit from the "specials" and "combos" they have to offer. Nonetheless the food is spectacular. Literally my go to spot for Chinese food :)

I walked in and found that I had left my card somewhere and just ordered an appetizer and soup. Wonton soup and French Fries were really good. Made just right. So I took out my phone and ordered through Yelp/Grubhub a takeout order of Vegetable Lo Mein and Spare Ribs w/ Fried Rice. Meanwhile, I dug into my French Fries and Wonton Soup. I must say the French Fries and Wonton Soup pleasantly exceeded my expectations. I inhaled them. I did take pictures of my Spare Rib Lunch. That was good also. I will return to get another order of that the Ribs were meaty and tasty. The Veggie Lo Mein was a separate order, although I did sample it and it was very good. All in all...I enjoyed their food. Compliments to the chef

My sister and I ordered the Philly egg rolls (seafood woks were amazing ordered back in October 2025) Kenny's....no buenoooo; insanely oily (dripping and pooling), filled with ground beef (like why?) and a touch of cheese. It was a shame, gross. . The "Mongolian beef" absolutely HORRIBLE usually my favorite go to order at any Chinese restaurant wherever I travel but my goodness... it was awful no flavor, watery sauce, barely any meat (probably for the better as it tasted questionable (funky) and the texture was unsettling) and the bowl was just...full of onions. Mongolian beef was so bad I couldn't stomach it regardless of how hungry I was. My dinner ended up being ground beef (from inside Philly roll) on top of white rice...straight up greasy slop. Surprisingly when we got there it was empty but it filled up after a while. Our service, however, was not fantastic. Our waiter was not terribly efficient and really didn't come by very often to check on us or give us more water when our glasses were empty. This is really the top Chinese restaurant in the area. However it is also a pricey Chinese restaurant. Though the quality of the food is outstanding and it is nice to come back and have some delicious Chinese food here. I asked if they could make up egg drop wonton soup which is a mixture of both and they were able to do that even though it's not a menu item. It was a huge bowl of soup and very flavorful and four wontons and bigger than most other Chinese restaurant individual soups. I also ordered a seafood bird's nest which had shrimp, scallops, and squid. It had big huge shrimp and lots of seafood and considering it was a premium price it was well worth it because it was chocked full of seafood and lots of vegetables with a delicious sauce. I ended up bringing half of it home. Others that are table had hot and sour soup which like my egg drop wonton soup was a huge bowl with lots of meat and vegetables. All the other dishes at our table looked great and were very big and filling as most took a doggy bag home. Service is the only reason that the review is a downgrade to four Star. On a day when we arrived and there was only one of their table eating we expected our service to be better and it was not. Other than that this is a top Chinese restaurant with delicious food and I highly recommend giving it a try.
