Updating my review from 2 years ago - I decided to give Layers another try and bought two different…read moreflavors of "brownies" and 2 pints of ice cream. To start, they "brownies" are not actual brownies. They are individual slices of cake. I didn't notice this 2 years ago but having it again last night, the Cadbury brownie tastes like a layered sheet cake made from box mix. The frosting on top wasn't too sweet, but certainly doesn't carry the richness of Cadbury chocolate. In a slice this simple, there's really no place to hide and paying that much for something that taste like it was battered out a box is not worth it in my opinion. The Dubai chocolate slice tasted better, but tbh, the Dubai chocolate cake from Costco not only tastes better but has a better price point! I was really excited to try their ice cream - I loved their flavor choices, but that's where my fondness pretty much stopped. The pints were pricey and taste super home made (not in a good way). The ice cream was hard and while it tasted like sweet cream, it was definitely not churned enough to carry a smooth texture. They pints were Van Leeuwen prices but the taste and texture was far from quality ice cream. In this case, I much rather pick up a pint of Hagen Daz, again much better price point and better quantity. The store is pretty but I won't be returning.

I got a couple things from Francesco's and so far not impressed. I tried one of the two macaroons and it was just awfully freezer burnt, then took a little nibble of the second one the same. Curious to know how Francesco's cupcakes will be anyway please Marc this place is closed so many of us don't waste our time coming here. Thank you.

Jamie a pleasant young lady, was working there. She was please to see that first review from Kimarley L. as I shared with her and it made her day. She shared information with me that Sandy is the person she works for and rents out the space for this Cupcake counter. The cupcakes are baked with the same ingredients that are used for the other baked goods at Franchescos Bakery. They do serve coffees and have a variety of cupcakes along with packs for 4. I got two beignets today, a whipcream and strawberry and a custard one. I ate into the one and found while there is a fresh strawberry on top the inside is gloppy with more like jelly strawberries inside. The whip cream is hard and not fluffy. Have not tried the other one yet. Perhaps other types will be better. Something else to note , the windows need shades or blinds. When the sun comes in everything in there gets hot . The credit card machine ( at 4% ) paper cost is very hard to see in the bright morning light. An update today, got my complementary cup cake today from many sport themed choices. I chose the baseball. I noticed and noted cupcakes in the bakery window. Jamie noted that theirs are medium-size not with filling and they a select amount of character cupcakes as well. Where's as the Get Baked ones have filling and are the large size.

The prices are super reasonable, i got 12 cookies for ~$13 and each one was really good. They came warm, with a slightly crunchy exterior and a soft inside. My favorites were the double chocolate chip cookie and the regular chocolate chip, but my friend really liked the snickerdoodle. I also got the iced latte for $6, which is a really good price for Nassau County! The inside was also such a vibe i loved the yellow chairs and the vibrant interior - there was so much seating. It was also so interesting seeing how they make the cookies. I will definitely come again I am absolutely obsessed!!!

I didn't realize that this is the only location on the island so it intrigued me. I wanted to sample them all but opted for a 6 pack. In order of favorite to least: strawberry shortcake x 2, chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, oatmeal, and birthday. The texture on all these were nice. Thin, crispy, but also chewy in the middle. I knew the strawberry shortcake would be a home run so i picked up two, it tastes like the outside of the ice cream bar which I love. Chocolate chip was also great with bigger pockets of chocolate than I thought. I'd say the remaining three were on the same level of enjoyment. Great texture, just okay flavor but birthday was definitely the weakest of the bunch. I did like these cookies though and would like to try different ones next time.

And they have a few vegan options! Don't expect macarons nor tarts, but that blueberry croissant I had was so delicious. It was more of a whole grain pastry than a traditional buttery croissant but because the blueberry filling was so sweet, I was happy for a less decadent pastry. I love that they have a nice array of coffee and matcha drinks too. I'm pretty sure the word has been out for some time now, but when that Starbucks line in the parking lot is just too much, The French Workshop is a better option (however, on a rainy Saturday in May, that line inside was considerable. People know what's good!) There's plenty of seating, too and if you are good at pretending, you almost feel you're in Europe (ignore the suburban strip mall that surrounds you).

Didn't realize that they have such a large selection of savoy selections as well. I always assumed The French Workshop to be a designer styled confectionate bakery. This they definitely are, but with much more. Texture and flavor fillings very on point to what was described. Would highly recommend this location, especially to those with a sweet tooth that appreciates appropriate portion sizes.
