The food here is on par with any Indian you'll find. The only drawback is the staff is VERY inattentive and you'll find yourself waiting for menus, orders and your check for long times. I did enjoy the atmosphere of the Indian music while I enjoyed a nice curry. Recommend, but make sure you've got time on your hands. They ain't quick. read more

The first time eating here 6 months ago, it was alright but it the quality today was not good. Hope that writing this review will be a bit of a wake up call. Granted, my expectations for Indian food in general in Howard County are diminished compared to Houston after 10 years there but still: today both the bhindi fry and potatoes in the lamb vindaloo were undercooked. No matter how busy your kitchen is, do not undercook food. This can harm people. Especially for the okra it can really ruin the texture and make the dish nigh inedible. read more

Hidden gem. I was suggested this place from a co worker for a special lunch time deal for a great price. We were immediately seated, great service, homey and comfortable environment. The special is $11-12, you get an order of three meats with multiple sides or the vegetarian special. The flavors of all the sides are out of this world, you even get a small desert at the end! We called to ask if they had a lunch buffet and they said yes. When we arrived we didn't see any buffet but they said there was a Buffett. We sat down and we're given 2 options, vegetarian or non-vegetarian. Once we chose our options they brought out a large platter with rice and all the dishes you normally get in a buffet. It was all you can eat and it was delicious. So it was a "buffet" style all you can eat but they bring the dishes/food out to you. I highly recommend this place. Great South Indian dishes! Our waiter was very helpful answering all my questions and after learning of other things I like suggested I try the Chole Bhatura, and I'm so glad I did. It's not a full meal on it's own, so my wife, and I shared it and also got masala dosa and a chicken curry dish I should have written down the name of. I have to say I was really hoping the food from this restaurant would be really good. Firstly, the portions for the entrees of Chicken Tikka Masala and Shrimp Tikka Masala were smaller than I expected. The carry out containers look like the ones I receive when I am ordering off a lunch menu. I guess being in a pandemic you're supposed to pay more or the same for a lot less. That aside, the aroma of the food had me ready to dive in, it smelled so good. Unfortunately the smell of the food did not lend itself to the flavors of the sauce. The sauces were drowned in salt. My husband can be a little heavy handed with salt when he cooks for my liking, so when he claims that the dish was too salty, it means it's hardly edible. I was very disappointed...maybe a dine in experience is better....at least then you can return the food to the kitchen. read more

I brought a group of about 13 and the owner and his staff really made effort to accommodate us, scooting tables together and allowing separate checks. I think they'll get more used to handling larger crowds (which I'm sure is happening more and more). Most of the patrons except our table, were Indian families--that's a good sign. They gave us these complimentary, thin, crunchy bread with 2 dips. It was a precursor of the hotness that was to come... The star of the show was definitely the biryani. The portion and flavor was just unique and I saw many people order it and dig in. I went for the palak paneer, and that did not disappoint. The side of rice that came with it could've been bigger. Their naan was thinly cut and abundantly flavored, loved it. It's like finding your favorite chips saturated with flavoring near the bottom of the bag...mmm. Most of us were sweating and wiping ourselves with napkins by the time we finished! Note: that beautiful non veg thali variety platter seen in the pictures is only available Mon-Fri....wail!!!! I had lunch here with some pals yesterday. The food was incredible!! The chick was my favorite (all different types). But it was the service that impressed me. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous (something you don't always see), and the owner went out of his way to make us feel special. He checked to see if we were enjoying our meal and engaged us in the discussion. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and the meal we had was affordable. I'll have to return to try the dinner menu. I wish that everyone has the opportunity to visit this location. My favorite Indian restaurant! The food is amazing, I always dine in but they mostly get a large number of take outs. It's usually a animal show on and an Indian music channel/show playing.
