We didn't go to club so I can't comment on that. Tremendous room for improvement on the service but I couldn't knock stars because the food is just that good. The shrimp jumbo and juicy - extremely flavorful and garlicky. Empanadas were so fresh with a nice homemade dough and dipping sauce. The lechón and the veggie slaw on the side were superb. Well flavored and large enough as an entree if you were trying to get full. The chicken pincho wasn't our favorite thing on the menu. It didn't fit with the Spanish theme and lacked on the ginger flavor. We easily fixed that by using the sauce from some of the other dishes so that was fine. Great presentation tho. TLDR: a fun night out for sure. ____ There aren't many places in Broward you can go for salsa dancing/Latin music but Spice is probably at the top of that list. I can here with a big group of friends and had a great time. After a round or two of drinks we decided it was probably better to get a bottle. We got a bottle for $160. This includes a table to sit at, all the mixers, etc. the price breakdown per drink certainly worked in our favor. Aside from dancing/drinking this place also comes with a show. Various male and female performers do routines throughout the night. Everyone looks like they are chilled from stone. They add some great energy to the party and the singers were great! read more

So, here we go again. Friends in from NY. My salsero family and I chose to visit Spice. We were early so placed an order for several different flavors and they did not disappoint. Food was surprisingly really good. Music- Oh my goodness. Salsa. Bachata, merengue and a bit of reggae. That was the DJ's handy work. Now for the band- wheppa!!! The were great!! The bartenders (male and female) also dance-Yes they can dance!!! Ladies and gentlemen, they are hot!! Dancers are sexy hot! Can't say anything negative. We were a group of 5. Went to the VIP section. Ordered our food, drinks,Hookah and danced the entire night. Met a nice group of people which gave the night an extra plus. Nice job Spice your name defines you. I stopped by after the outdoor concert at Young Circle with a group of friends after a wandering through Hollywood Blvd, and were attracted by the loud music (and my eyes by one of the scantily clad dancers :) The hostess was able to put together a couple of tables for our group. You're given a bottle for iced tea (which I had) and a glass, and one of my friends' mojitos was nicely presented with an umbrella in the glass. Although they had a full menu, we mostly noshed on appetizers. My choice were the wings with mango BBQ sauce. A generous portion of about 10 wings, the wings had plenty of meat on them and thoroughly marinated by the sweet, slightly sticky sauce. The food's gourmet bar food, but the main attraction here are the dancers. These are very talented ladies that probably spend a large amount of the gym and certainly the definition of eye candy. This place is hit or miss. I and my girlfriends wanted to go out dancing. So we decided to go here. The night we went, the place was not so busy and we just danced among us. Some other time, we could find some men to dance with us. So it's all depend on the night. We have been here several times before and usually the music is good and the band is good. If you can stay a bit late, they have servers dancing on the counter! They have a large food menu and the food is not bad either. The drink prices are also reasonable. We usually share the food and order the drink or two. There are not many places that you can dance salsa. I needed to wait more than 15 minutes to get my energy drink (yup, it wasn´t even a cocktail... just an energy drink that gives you wings). For some reason I did not feel safe here. People were smoking inside the building; I saw three guys fighting on the dance floor and also saw suspicious activity in the ladies room. Cons: Very pricey both the drinks and the food. Although they do serve you quite a bit of food. There is always a cover unless you get there while the sun is still up. The staff can very rude at times. Bartenders sometimes ignore you. It's kind of small, you will bump into the next table while trying to go to the dance floor/bathroom. My girlfriend took our teenage daughters here the other night for dinner. The star review is strictly for wait service, speed and drink quality and more important integrity. The food was pretty good. Nice and hot and tasty. We ordered chicken and steak kabobs both were dry- over cooked but still tasty. Rice was good. Ordered avocado, mozzarella and tomato salad- that was excellent. My friend ordered calamari which literally did not come along with her daughters mozzarella sticks until my daughter and I were done eating. Mojitho and her Martini were happy hour and watered down. Mint was brown. $7.00 per drink. Happy hour price. There were only 2 tables outside and 1 inside. Our table was checked on once. I had to stand by the girl inside and help her put our order in right and than still had to repeat and confirm with a man that understood English better. Insane right? In hindsight should have walked than. Our bill came to $75.00 gratuity of $13.00 added even though it wasn't deserved and you can't fight it. It's on ever bill. Service is horrible but they know no matter what gratuity is in the pocket. We gave $80.00 and she tried keeping the extra. We called her out on it and said she had plenty already and she tried to say bill was someone else's and that ours was lost. So I said well how do you know ours was $75 and this is what we ordered. She became so flustered and nervous she handed us our change and our tip. Not only was she trying to scam us but blatantly lie about it. Food was good- drinks poor- service worse. Will never be back. Dress code: extremely lacked. You'll see guys in t-shirt, shorts, and flip flops at the bar with a guy in 3 piece suit and bow tie. But most people come out to celebrate birthdays, the start of the weekend, the day before they have to go to work, etc lol. Female bartenders/bar backs are in underwear and fishnets. IDC because they make great drinks. This is what I think might be the "a/c" issue. Only time I'm sweating in this place is after 2-3 long salsa dances after downing a long island. Kitchen stays open late for those that feel like eating after 11. Food is okay. Nothing to really to write about. This place is a bar with food options. The first time I came here (maybe Jan) there was lots of smoking. I've have a few returns since and noticed a huge decrease. Not sure if the crazy heat has kept people away? AS SOON AS we turned around we were being hounded, a guy was trying to see why we were going to leave before we even got to the door. I was told the music is very good there, but on this particular Saturday night, It was a lot of Portuguese music and a Portuguese band. The DaJ played only two Bachatas and two very old merengues. No salsa. I'd like for them to have more variety for sure. Will try on a Friday night next time. The dancers are all great and are very energetic and fun. Had three drinks and paid $57. This place is mostly Spanish but the music was so good and bad some English hits in there as well. Bottle service was nice. Came quickly and the server was good. Checked on us pretty often. The crowd was good. Everyone was having a good time and no one was rude. For a packed nightclub that means a lot. The band had some good looking men! Also, there were some carnival dancers and gogo dancers mixed with men and women. They did a few small performances but they were so good. The only downfall was the door wanted to charge everyone, including women a cover charge. Come on now. Everyone knows women are free. Plus we bought a bottle. I've heard a lot of AMAZING reviews about this place and I can say it's just ok. I haven't tried the food there because I wasn't aware they serve food. My girlfriends and I went dancing there this past weekend and it was sooooooo packed. It was a bit hot and a lot of people. There was not much room to move around. They did have a lot of different styles of music playing throughout the night (Bachata, salsa, Reggaton). On a Saturday night it's hard to find parking there. Also when we came in they had a cover charge of $10 per person. They said they only take cash and then when we started walking away because we didn't have cash they stopped us and magically said they accept credit cards :). Overall it's ok! Probably not my first choice to do dancing but my first choice to go Latin dancing. read more

I have been an avid yelper for almost a decade and this has been the first time I've ever cared enough to write an actual review. Normally I look up reviews prior to visiting an establishment to determine whether it would be worth my time. However, my boyfriend flew into town for his birthday and I had made reservations at the restaurant across the street during this occurrence. We finished eating at Bistro 1902 a little before midnight and wanted to go somewhere to have a few birthday shots before calling it a night and heading to our hotel. This was the only place we could hear music coming from on the strip so we decided to give it a shot. We paid $10.00 each for admission and then sat at the bar for a few cocktails. The ambiance was nice and our bartender was very friendly and social. We purchased a round of three cocktails each, bought the couple sitting next to us some cocktails, enticed on a "birthday shot round" offered the bartender to take a shot with us as well and were wrapping up our visit. As we were getting ready to close our tab a gentlemen bumped into my boyfriend. Accidentally or intentional? we still may never know. My boyfriend asked him "is there an issue?" since clearly there was plenty of space to walk around without bumping someone. I assume he felt embarrassed because he walked away on a mission. Shortly after a woman approached me and informed me that my boyfriend had made a serious mistake because the gentlemen that had bumped into him was the "owner" and he was not someone to take lightly. Shortly after, the "owner" returned with around 6 policemen. Instead of asking us to leave the premises, which we would've been more than enthused to fulfill, my boyfriend was handcuffed and escorted to the front of the establishment. I began to record with my phone for the safety of my boyfriend and one of the police officers was not fond of that. My phone was snatched out of my hand, I was placed in handcuffs and all of the footage was deleted by law enforcement. My boyfriend and I ended up being charged with multiple charges one of which includes trespassing for a venue that I've never been to prior in my life. We ended up spending my boyfriends birthday weekend in jail. I wish I would've been able to have insight on some of these reviews prior to visiting this venue so that hopefully my experience can keep someone in a similar situation from having the same outcome I had and will be continuing to pay for in time to come. This was all an experience that could've definitely been avoided if this place was managed by actual professionals. read more

The only reason I'm giving them one star is because the bar tender was a wonderful girl who made a great margarita. We were having a great time my friend and I sitting at a table near the stage (we got there at 9:30pm, which is fairly early) In the midst of my friend and I having a conversion while enjoying our margarita one of the waiters who is short, dark tan skin, curly hair with extremely tight pants and tight shirt and vest, comes to my girlfriend and basically yanks the chair from right below her and says "oh, sorry" apparently, he was Sitting down the table directly behind us. He leaves my friend standing there confused and offended, naturally we decided to leave after that act of sheer politeness. My friend goes to the bar to close her tab and I decided to address manager about our recent ordeal. Well, that was a giant disaster. The manager is a tall, tan skin, muscular and bald guy with giant loop earrings on both sides and very, very tight clothes (probably part of the uniform) I tell him exactly what happened and when we point out the guy, they hugged each other and whispered something to each other and afterward they BOTH aggressively approach my girlfriend who is in the process of paying at the tab at the bar and tell her "Ay mami, Pero yo te dije.." Both men were aggressively flaring their arms up and down and side to side very close to my friends personal space so, I decided to intervened and asked them to both please relax (as I seen my friend was getting overwhelmed) so this is when things took a terrible turn for the worst. As i intervened, the manager interrupts me as I am telling him that "I'm only telling you what I saw him do..." And he tells me that the waiter is the most polite waiter they have and that I must be mistaken.." Meanwhile flaring his arms at me very close to my face. At this point all I could find the words to say was, "you know, just don't worry about it...it's fine" he tells me as swings around and gives me his back throwing his hands in the air "oh, don't worry I'm not worried about it mamita" after which, we got our car from valet and left. And well, that was the end of our wonderful experience at spice Up until this moment, I LOVED this place. But I won't support a place that blatantly disrespects women with intimidation.
