This place is delicious. I've only picked up food to go so I can't say much about the atmosphere or service. Seems like your typical restaurant in a little strip mall on Semoran. I usually get the sweet and sour chicken which isn't like the breaded and fried stuff this is fresh vegetables and chicken breast. Prices are reasonable and my wife likes the Pad Thai as well. This has always been one of my favorite Thai spots. I didn't have a great experience a couple of months ago, but we continued going (the food is always fresh and on point) and I feel like I should say that the service is now much better - friendly, attentive and prompt. It deserves an updated review! Tonight we took family that are visiting from out of town (6 of us) and everything was exceptional! We ordered wanton and Tom yum soups, chicken wontons, calamari, green curry shrimp, drunken noodles, chicken fried rice, chicken chilli jam, panang chicken and their ground chicken basil and rice. This place is solid, not great. We were early to catch a flight and stopped in here. We are not sure the waitress understood what gluten free meant because my wife only had the choice of curry. Usually the drunken noodles are gf but she said no. I had the pad see ew. It was just average. The pineapple rice was great, would recommend although they mix fresh pineapple and canned in the same dish. Overall it's a solid choice, better than eating in the airport. read more

Restaurant is in a strip center close to the airport. It's a decent size and we arrived late so it was not crowded and good to be spaced away from other diners. We ordered some appetizers , fried tofu cubes and the coconut shrimp, both were good. I had the pad Thai see u. It was full of veggies with a flat noodle and a delicious sauce. This is the worst Thai fried rice I have ever had. The pork was missing, and beef and chicken is not good quality. A horrible taste and are to chewy. When I called the restaurant to tell them about it. She told me to contact Uber for a refund. I explained that Uber has nothing to do with the quality of the food. Just kept saying to contact Uber. i am flight attendant and have eaten all over the country and I have never wrote a bad review. read more

Came back for some authentic Thai meals with the family this time. I ordered the same meal drunken noodle shrimp medium spice. My husband finally ordered the special meal spice seafood medium spicy and our little one had shrimp basil fried rice. We also had the fried calamari with spicy plum sauce (delish) lemon grass shrimp soup and seafood potak. Beautiful presentation, delicious spicy flavors. Our server is the best at what she does. So my favorite entrees to order are the beef drunken noodles and the chicken red curry medium, hold the scallions. Everything was perfectly cooked, I was so happy. I probably passed 10-15 Thai places to drive 25 mins away but this is my favorite place to get these entrees. First time here. Great service. Medium noise at the lunch hour when we were there for lunch. We came here since my hubby drives past here everyday on his way to work. I love so many different Thai dishes. My favorite being the Tom Kha soup which of course they had. I got it to go but enjoyed one of the delicious lunch specials, Shrimp Yellow Curry, that came with Jasmine rice. One word..... DELICIOUS!!!! Very sizeable portion. It had the typical mild Thai spice that I can handle at least. :-) I got the Sweet Thai Iced Tea. Yummy! My hubby wanted to try their Sweet & Sour with Pork. It is different than a Chinese style Seet & Sour, but he knew ahead it would be different. However, he found it to be tasty. Again, sizeable portion & didn't go away hungry. We know prices are continuing to raise, so the prices were acceptable especially for the portions we received. Yep. We will certainly be back. read more

This is a fantastic Thai restaurant! I'm pretty snobby when it comes to my Thai food, I've spent a few months there and I have to say, Spice Thai has authentic flavor and $5 Thai beers! My only complaint, the "hot" spice level barely had any spice, it's definitely toned down for American tastes, the flavors are still fantastic, I just enjoy my mouth being on fire when im having Thai. Went with Masaman Beef Curry and Tom Kha soup, buddy went with the Red curry. Great service. Very friendly and listened patiently to my order. I ordered the pad thai shrimp and the drunken noodles with beef. The drunken noodles were perfect. 10/10. The pad thai though...it was a little tangy but it was missing that pad thai flavor...it needed tamarind and peanut. I would not order it again just bc it's not what I want when I want pad thai. I've been here a few times with my coworkers and sometimes have team lunches here. It's a decent place for some Thai food. They also have lunch specials during the weekdays. My go to is the drunken noodles. I'm not a huge fan of their pad Thai here but some people like it. I tried their summer rolls for the first time and was not a fan. This was a great stop in the way from the Orlando Airport. Great time and very close to the airport. I ended up parking in the back since the front lot was completely full, but it seemed like this was from the other restaurants. Spice Thai had plenty of room inside and the staff was very welcoming when I arrived. I ordered the salmon curry lunch special and it was delicious! The salmon was cooked just right and the vegetables with it were perfect. The side that came with my food was a salad with peanut dressing which was also very good and refreshing. After the meal, I was given a free plate of fried banana rolls for the new year! I don't even like bananas but let me tell you- this was delicious and also so generous! read more

Was in town on business looking for dinner near my hotel that wasn't a chain restaurant, (which there are many in that area) and this hit the spot. I really liked the looks of the steak massaman curry but was told it was not available, which was a bummer. Instead I stuck with the classic Thai yellow curry with chicken, which was exactly as expected and tasty. I ordered the fried banana a la Mode for dessert, which was like mini spring rolls with banana filling with a scoop of your flavor choice of ice cream- I got coconut ice cream. Got there about 8:30pm and was about to close. The atmosphere is super simple, nothing to write home about. But the service and food were exceptional. Luckily, when my partner ordered something with a spice of "#7", on a scale of 5-10, our server reiterated that it will be hot. We both elected to go with the "#5" heat and were completely satisfied with the heat. I had the Fried Rice w/double shrimp and the shrimp and rice were FRESH and PERFECTLY cooked. I've traveled to FL for work an hour east of Orlando airport for many years, and over a decade now I've chosen to dine at this restaurant each time I've come to town before heading to check into my hotel. While the food has always been good, the customer service has become the worst over the last year. I received an email offering a free Thai donuts dessert for my birthday and was fortunate to come to town this week and try to redeem it. Since I was on travel and nowhere near my hotel I wanted to sit down and eat at the restaurant. The woman inside would not honor the email by dining inside. I thought that was ridiculous because they would get a nice tip for my dining inside and honoring the offer, but no, she insisted it must be an online order. I was still willing to order on my phone, and pay the processing fee as well (which is ludicrous btw - no restaurants in the DC metro area where I live, or other places in the country I travel to, charge such a fee for takeout when you order direct with them) but she refused to let me sit down and eat it there! There were absolutely zero customers in the restaurant at the time, so it wasn't an issue of available tables, or anyone seeing that I was picking up and sitting down. I explained in this heat the entree would go bad in the car by the time I arrived to the hotel and checked in to eat it there. She didn't care. Her answer was "rules are rules." I asked to speak to the manager but she refused. She has worked there a long time and knows my long time loyal patronage but that didn't matter at all to her. She just laughed at me when I reminded her of that. Like some other posts here, no wonder there seem to be no customers dining there anymore. They have chased us all away with their stubborn insensitive attitude. I am now rooting for them to go out of business. They will not ever get my business again after this. They deserve to go under. I have family members that own restaurants back where I grew up and everyone knows in order to survive you need to take care of your loyal return customers all that you possibly can. I have a huge network of colleagues in the Orlando area, so I will take every opportunity to inform them and their families of this stubborn and pathetic service so they avoid ever going to this restaurant. read more

We have ordered online many time and then finally took a ride to have a sit down dinner. Spice Thai in my opinion is the most legit and delicious Thai in our area. The food quality and traditional seasoning is top notch always and the portions are generous. The Red Snapper with Curry is my all time favorite and the price is unbeatable in comparison to other competitors. I really enjoy this place. I am never disappointed. The food is good, but beware, if you ask for spicy food... You will get spicy food. And if you ask for Thai hot -- you will be sweating during your entire dinner (not to mention the rest of the night). At least, that's what happened to my boyfriend, and he is accustomed to spicy food. Service has been great, and food is pretty quick. And even though this is a small place, they seem to always be able to accommodate their guests. On this last visit I got mild chicken pad Thai (which is one of the best in town) and spring rolls. Everything was very tasty. And my boyfriend and I drive down this way from Winter Park just to come eat here. The top three items I am pickiest about when it comes to food are 1. cupcakes, 2. With Spice Thai being about 5 minutes from my office it makes for a convenient lunch spot for my coworkers and I or solo if I must fulfill my Thai cravings... which happens fairly often. This spot can get a little crowded during peak lunch times, as all yummy restaurants do. They have great two person tables for small/solo dines and they do accommodate large groups. I suggest making a reservation ahead of time for larger groups. We called ahead a day before for a party of 10 with no issues. The food is tasty. My faves are the pad Thai, spring rolls, yellow curry and drunken noodles. They have lunch specials and a handful of great menu options to choose from. All delicious. Note, I haven't found the food to be spicy. While I do like spice, I can only handle a small amount. There are spice and nut condiments to add to your dish should you want to add more jazz. read more

This is my second time at Spice Thai. I get a salad everywhere I go and always have it with just about every lunch or dinner meal since I was a child. I was served fresh salad greens with an assortment of vegetables that was tasty on its own. Thai restaurants that I have experienced previously will give you ginger dressing, this salad came with a peanut sauce. A peanut sauce that is usually paired with an appetizer or meal. The taste is fine but I just didn't enjoy it on my salad. The texture was thick and it was warm. Another option of dressing was actually sweet and sour sauce.l, used for vegetable or spring rolls. Next time I will forgo the salad altogether. I kept going back and forth about pad Thai or pad see ew. Went with my usual fav, pad Thai with shrimp. Ordered it at a heat level 7 this is their hot, but not Thai hot. Okay, but this is not hot at all. No spice anywhere. Really sweet, but not spicy. Located off Bent Pine Road, near this place is spacious, quiet and calm. I was in the mood for soup, and since Tom yum was on the menu I thought "why not?" Well, an over sized soup cup with the most delicious broth, jumbo shrimp and veggies came out. Comforting, spicy to the level you want-5,7,10, which is Thai hot. Fragrant cilantro and lemongrass in every sip. I love the curries, which are different from Indian curries; there is red curry, green and panang. But I saw something on the menu I had not seen anywhere else and that was Choo Chee curry. Ok let's see; deep fried shrimp in a plate licking panang/red curry sauce that somehow maintained their crispness, bell peppers, and slivers of Kaffir lime leaves. It is prepared mild, but you can ask for the levels of hot described above, and I think it will add that something extra to an already delicious dish. Add a Thai tea, and dinner is complete! Reasonably priced and well worth it. All the traditional dishes are offered too, and each dish with some exceptions can be vegetarian if you prefer. There is wine and beer available too.
