Oh my goodness, is all I can say! Yum, Yum, Yum!! I have visited India and have had the honor to eat at some amazing street vendors. Spice Waala surprised me, in a good way. You might be thinking Delhi belly in India, but no never happened to me. Cannot wait to go back for so many reasons. The rolls are all delicious, my favorite is the Aloo and the paneer. My mom loved the chicken tikka and my dad loved the lamb. The egg is amazing on any of the rolls, if you want a little more. I only need one roll. I actually would be too full if I had more! They look small, but are so full of good stuff. Everyone should savor every bite, chew, chew, chew. You would be amazed how much your stomach would love you back if your took time to savor every bite. Thank you for the love you put into every bite. The chana chaat is great to split with a date or have as leftovers the next day. Let us all be thankful for such an amazing place. Service was quick, friendly, and the food was BOMB. We ordered the chicken tikka, the aloo tikki, and the Channa Chaat. The wraps are a little on the small side, but the are FULL of filling. My chicken tikka was 90% chicken, which I appreciated ( instead of a bunch of filler ingredients). Paired with the chaat, it was super satisfying. Aalu roll was just good. But paneer roll felt like it was stale. Could not even eat a bite probably. They add vinegar in paneer bhurji . Taste of vinegar is too strong. No other flavor. Will never order again . I went and even mentioned it's doesn't taste right. I eat paneer at home every day so I know how paneer bhurji taste's. They said this is how it is made. Don't have any complaints about the taste, food tastes good. Its not as good and authentic as back in India, but the flavor is good. However, I would have enjoyed the paneer roll more if the ratio of the filling to the roll was proportionate. The rolls are too small for the amount of filling and it gets overwhelming. Also, the Sev that comes with the chaat was very less and was mixed with onion or coriander so it was soggy. Wished it was more in quantity and was crunchy. Overall, some details that take the food from good to delicious were missing, especially due to less quantity for the price being paid. Otherwise, I enjoyed it. read more

I've eaten at this place a handful of times now and let's say there is a reason they're getting five stars. The lunch menu is simple, delicious and fairly priced. (They do offer dinner but I haven't tried it yet) I will say that they haven't always been consistent with giving chutneys with their wraps (I.e I've ordered items and found container of chutney on the side sometimes and sometimes not, not a deal breaker because I've learned to just ask for what I want which is usually at extra charge but it's fine) also one time the fries were not cooked well. But I keep going back and all businesses have things like this so again minor and not a deal breaker. The wraps are perfectly portioned. I've had lamb and chicken. The lamb is definitely my favorite owing to its flavorful richness and spices. If I'm a little extra hungry I have them put an egg on it. If you're trying them the first time, I strongly recommend ordering both of the chutneys and the yogurt dipping sauce to enjoy with your wrap and or fries because although not necessary, they accompany it amazingly. read more

First of all, they don't serve Kathi roll. It's normal roti roll. I ordered two and both the bread were burnt. So, not recommended at all.

Underwhelming meal. The chicken tika roll was extremely small, had about 3 pieces of chicken. The aloo tiki chaat was just a potato patty with nothing on it! It came with sauce and a topping. The cheap prices roped me in, but I would have been better off spending more money and being full at the end of my meal. The flavor was ok, but way too spicy. I ordered for pickup and it was very fast- almost too fast. Didn't even come with utensils or napkins. I was ok with it, but there was never an option to accept or decline them. read more

I came across Spice Waala on Yelp and it's been hanging out in my bookmarks since I first saw it. With everything going on I figured it would be a while until I got to try but I was thrilled when I saw them on doordash! I actually placed my first order yesterday for a chicken tikka roll and the Masala Aloo which are basically french fries with a side of green chutney. When the food got to me, the roll was missing so I gave them a call and the woman I spoke to was really sweet and apologetic. I still ate the fries of course and they were so delicious. The green chutney was amazing, I need to have jars bottled for my house. Today I placed another order with the credit I got from the last one and I got a chicken tikka roll again with Papdi Chaat (Indian Nachos). The roll is so so so flavorful and the chicken is juicy and moist. 11/10 would recommend. The Papdi Chaat was amazing as well and they even added a little card so you could assemble the nachos properly because they come in separate containers for freshness. To round out this amazing food experience, they must've remembered my name from the order and added a rice pudding and a note apologizing again for the mix-up. I thought that was really thoughtful and shows that they value their customers. Spice Waala is bringing a new take on Indian food to Seattle. I'm not sure if their food has been done before here or if I'm just uncultured but I am an Indian food enthusiast and this is like nothing I have ate before. The food here is innovative and delicious! There aren't many amazing Indian restaurants in Seattle, but this one is different (think Indian fast casual) & has some of the best food. The rolls are genius -- both the chicken tikka and lamb kabob rolls are a must get. Their fries are perfectly fried and the chutneys are mouth watering. Probably the best quality food on the 15th ave section of Cap Hill. Their employees are some of the nicest I've come across as well! Can't recommend enough! read more

Really good and authentic Indian street food. I was surprised at how good it was! We got the aloo tikki chaat, bhel puri, and the fries. To get it out of the way, the fries were lackluster and can live without it. They were soggy and seasoned with spices. The aloo tikki chaat was amazing. The potatoes were good perfectly and the flavors were all there. The bhel puri was also amazing and like the aloo tikki, the flavors were all there. It was very satisfying. Ridiculously good. I've tried a good chunk of their menu at this point (it's small, which I like). Their masala fries are really addicting -- nice crunch, but what really makes it is the green chutney that comes with it which is out of this world. It is the perfect combination of herby, salty, and acidic. Their kathi rolls are delicious and great value for the money. The chicken tikka is my favorite, but the lamb is also very flavorful. They keep it simple without adding a bunch of toppings that would take away from the pure rich taste of the meat. But my new favorite is their bhel puri -- it is a large snack/small meal, and hits all the notes of savory and tangy with a great texture to the puffed rice. The people working there are very friendly and orders come out quick. A great restaurant to have in the neighborhood, but highly recommended as a destination for others! read more

We ordered two rolls from the place - lamb and chicken along with fries! If you've ever had true rolls, then this is surely a place that'll disappoint!! The chicken roll egg came with huge chunks of chicken that were falling apart - the roll had no onions!!!! The egg in it was not whisked well and was so thin that there was no egg taste! Food is so good! I've eaten here a few times at the farmers market in SLU and my fav is the chicken kathi roll and mango lassi. I stopped by their store last week when they opened and I think the food is even better. They added an option to get egg added to your rolls, plus they have a few other apps. It's hard to pick one winner, both equally delicious, tender and nothing short of explosive flavors. I first tried Spice Waala at the SLU market last year (loved it), and I was excited to learn they opened up a brick and mortar store. The store reminded me of the good ol' kathi roll spots in NYC. I tried the lamb and I have to say, it was even better than the last time! The meat was very moist and the flavoring was off the charts. The service was great as well. Having sampled the whole menu (because, why not?), my favorites include the chicken tikka (with egg) and lamb kathi rolls, bhel puri and aloo tikki chaat. The food is quite flavorful, packed with many different spices, and provides good texture throughout every bite. While the food is spicy (they are called Spice Waala, after all), it never becomes overly spicy where I can't enjoy it anymore. The place is nice looking, very clean, great service. The food, unfortunately, was not good. For a place called "spice waala" there's NO spice or flavor at all in the rolls. We had the chicken tikka rolls, masala fries, papdi chaat, and masala chai. The rolls were seriously disappointing, even my 11yrs old said "isn't this supposed to be spicy?". The fries were burnt but flavor for the few that weren't burnt were good. Chai tasted old. Papdi chaat was just ok. Overall womp womp. read more
