    Intestine Noodle(with soup) 肥肠面

I came to Spicy Noodle with some friends on a chilly weekday evening, perfect for hot and spicy soup noodles, and overall the restaurant delivered. The store is simple and clean, with friendly staff. You order on a QR code at your table, and our food arrived quickly. We ordered the appetizer sampler, which came with cucumbers, potato strips, and seaweed. The cucumbers tasted bitter, but the other two were delicious. I got a bowl of the intestine noodle soup, which is an indulgent order for me as I usually do not cook with it myself. The intestine was so soft it almost melted in my mouth, and they themselves were nicely seasoned. However, the soup was a tad too greasy to me, and I would have loved more richness, spice, and flavor, not just oil. It did cling marvelously to the firm, chewy noodles, so those went down a treat. However, the soup was too greasy to sip on, which was a bummer. We ordered the brown sugar rice cakes as a sweet treat after. These tasted hot and freshly fried and were perfectly sweet, covered in a nutty grain powder. I wish the brown sugar was in more of a syrup consistency than a liquid consistency, but the flavor was good regardless. Overall, this is a quick and reasonably priced place for your Chinese noodle fix. I would love to try their rice dishes, as I feel like the oiliness may be better soaked into some rice.

Great food! We ordered the big meat noodle soup, braised beef noodle soup, and the chili oil wontons. All were great choices, broth was pretty flavorful and spicy, with the perfect numbing spice from the chili oil wontons. The noodles had a great texture as well. Came on a weekday lunch and was seated promptly, the restaurant also is very clean.

This is in a small strip mall across Cheetahs. Parking is always full but they do have street parking on Mercury Rd. Inside the restaurant was small but they were able to seat 8 of us. I ordered the braised noodle soup and it was delicious. We also had the cucumber salad and it was very tasty and refreshing. We, also, had the spicy crispy pork. It was nice and crispy and the salt dip on the side was very good. The place only had one server but she was so graceful in helping everyone and always had a smile. Will definitely come back here again to try other dishes.

You order using their QR code at the table and the food comes out so quick. The beef noodle soup was so good, the beef was tender and they gave the perfect amount of meat with the soup. The soup wasn't as spicy as I would've liked but it still hit the spot. I'll definitely come back next time and try one of their other dishes.

We got seated right away and the food came out relatively quick! You order from your phone which was a plus for me since I like looking at the pictures of the menu. I thought the food would taste spicer because of the name but it was not spicy to me at all.

Food and service was great! It was a Sunday night and there was only one worker running food, taking orders, getting the bill, and cleaning tables so be patient! If you plan on dining in for a quick meal, expect a wait. The food was delicious, they don't add MSG in their dishes which was different so I was surprised that the food still tasted the same. We got the spicy braised beef noodle soup and spicy crispy pork. Four stars only because it took a while for the food to come out. The restaurant was clean and server was nice despite being the only one working the front.

This place is a hidden gem in San Diego. The owner of this shop apparently had a restaurant in Flushing New York, moved over for his wife, and opened up a restaurant here. If you can survive opening an Asian restaurant in Flushing, you have just made it onto the top of the food chain in terms of the restaurant business. If I have to describe the food here in three words, it would be: simple, authentic, and tasty. I am not a huge spicy person, but for a lot of the dishes here, you can make it mild (including the beef noodle soup). I personally like their shrimp, pork, and chives dumpling. I can't get enough of that. I've been here twice and both times I had great experiences. The owner is also super friendly and down to earth, very easy to talk to. Parking here is surprisingly not that bad despite being on Convoy. The parking lot is decently sized. I'm guessing most people haven't really heard of this place yet, so it's usually not too crowded. I came here during prime dinner time both times and was able to find parking both times.

Another great time and spicy noodle! Whenever I am craving a spicy beef noodle soup this is my go to place. They service is fast and the noodles are delicious! They are never over cooked and the beef is so tender. It's also the perfect spice level. Love it here!

The food was so good, I was genuinely surprised. Usually don't enjoy Szechuan but their chili wontons were perfectly spiced and comforting. I want to be wrapped up like a little wonton and told I am loved. Sorry the picture was a second thought to consumption. Cheers & definitely make a stop here.

My friend and I rolled in on a chilly afternoon and left with tingling lips and zero room for dessert. Here's the play-by-play: 1. Bean Jelly in Chilli Sauce - Cold, slippery mung-bean jelly noodles swimming in crimson Sichuan oil. One bite and your tongue goes "zzzt!" - that perfect ma-la buzz. 2. Lamb Kebabs (4 skewers) - Big, juicy chunks of lamb, lightly charred, cumin-dusted, and mercifully lean. None of that greasy lamb-fat puddle you get at sketchier BBQ spots. 3. Wonton in Chili Oil - 12 plump wontons, thin wrappers, pork & chive filling that explodes when you bite. The oil is bright, garlicky, and just hot enough to make you tear up in happiness. 4. Chongqing Spicy Noodles - A steaming bowl of springy noodles, peppery minced pork, crisp bok choy, and a slick of chili oil that ties it all together. Slurp loudly; it's required. Service was lightning fast, there were plenty of tables and the restaurant was clean and bright. Pro tip: grab extra napkins; your shirt will thank you.

Spicy Noodle - Generous Portions and Authentic Flavors in Kearny Mesa Located in a busy plaza in Kearny Mesa, Spicy Noodle is surprisingly quiet during weekday noons and even manageable during weekend lunch hours--on a Sunday visit, about half the tables were still available. The menu focuses on Chongqing-style noodles and offers several combo options. I tried the Special Sauce Noodles with peas, which came with a large portion of noodles but had minimal pork and a rather heavy sauce. The combo includes a noodle dish, one small side, and a drink. I also tried the Braised Beef Noodle Soup, which came with a satisfying portion of lean-cut beef and two small pieces of bok choy. Note that there's an extra charge for adding an egg. For the side dish, I chose the Sichuan Potato, a sweet-and-sour crispy fried potato dish topped with cilantro. While flavorful, it's quite carb-heavy and large in portion -- better shared than eaten alone. Noodle soups are conveniently labeled with spice levels, making it easier to choose based on your heat preference. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the dining space is decorated with vivid Chongqing-style murals, showcasing elements of Southwestern Chinese culture and landmarks. Free WiFi is available, making it a relaxed place for a quick meal or casual hangout. However, parking can be tight during peak hours in the plaza, so plan accordingly. Overall, Spicy Noodle offers hearty portions, regional authenticity, and a calm dining experience--especially if you're looking for a lesser-crowded Chinese dishes' option in Kearny Mesa.

After looking through a ton of different options, the bf and I decided to give this place a try. We arrived a little after 6:30 and two tables were occupied so we could sit pretty much anywhere. They have a QR code menu from which you can also order from if you are feeling antisocial. Since it was our first time, our server quickly went through the menu with us and answered our questions. We got 3 items: Chongqing Style Spicy Noodle Soup ($12) Chi oil chao shou (6p for $8) Pickled fish fillet ($21.99) that came with glass noodle Plus 2 bowls of rice ($2 ea). Had we realized the fish came with noodles we might have passed on the rice. Good to know for next time! The food came out pretty quickly. The noodle soup wasn't too soupy but it had a gentle kick and was super flavorful with a nice umami balance. The dumplings were nicely cooked and the Szechuan peppercorn came through. The pickled fish fillet had pickled greens, garlic and noodles with white fish and was really tasty. We had considered getting the Szechuan fish with tofu but I'm glad we didn't as I suspect that the dumplings had the same sauce. They have big murals showcasing some of their noodle dishes, which all looked tasty. We will have to come back to give them a try! And trust me, we are coming back but with more people so we can try more things!

I was born and raised in LA, so I've had a lot of Chinese food growing up, and I wasn't expecting to be this surprised--but I really was. I ordered the black bean eggplant and the salt and pepper chicken wings. The wings are what they're known for, but I have to start with the eggplant because it completely caught me off guard. It wasn't mushy at all--crispy on the outside, perfectly cooked on the inside, and coated in sauce without losing its texture. Every bite had depth and balance, not just saltiness. I actually meant to start with the wings, but the eggplant was so good I ended up eating half of it before even getting to them. By that point I was already getting full, but I still made sure to finish the wings--and I'm honestly excited to take the rest of the eggplant home as leftovers. By the time I got to the wings, I understood why they're popular--crispy, flavorful, and super satisfying--but what stood out to me was how both dishes complemented each other. One rich and layered, the other crisp and bright. I never got tired of eating, which honestly says a lot. I even told the staff how much I enjoyed the food and they thought I was joking, but I meant every word in saying I thought it was comparable, if not better then the food I've had in Chinatown in LA. Really glad I came here and the next time I have a chance to come back down to SD I definitely will come back here and that's not negotiable for me

To add insult to injury it was BURNED so badly that all you could smell was burnt dough and taste burned dough. Hardly any sauce on it as well. The Shrimp Fried Rice should have just been plain white rice for how bland it was. The Vegetable Chow Mein literally was just a container of salt. Slim noodles and salt, disgusting! We spent so much money and all of this is going right into the garbage. Stay away from this hole! It should be shut down for trying to poison people. Afterwards, we thought it was AYCE on the menu of your choice + the side buffet where there are limited selections of sides and refrigerated drinks.
