ALWAYS LATE... Do not order from this joint if you are hungry. They will tell you 45 minutes and then when the 45 minutes are average 35 to 40 minutes they call you and tell you we are sorry but the driver is on the way it will be 15 to 20 more minutes. The funny thing is we are just 3 blocks away. I did not go up there and pick the order up because I have kids and not it's to late to drag them out tonight. Should have just ordered Domino's or something from another pizza joint. I will be taking my business elsewhere for now on for sure. read more

Been here a few times and have tried several items. I do like their plain pepperoni pizza and their buffalo wings. However beyond that I really don't like their other pizzas or their other menu items. They seem to undercook the veggie toppings and I can't place my finger on what exactly but they just taste "off" somehow. Oh, and be aware their crust will have a dusting of flour on it, sometimes a bit much. Their buffalo wings are good sized, have a tangy sauce. The grinders and subs are under filled and not tasty at all. The service I thought was good but it wasn't busy the times I went. I don't appreciate that they had a slice loyalty card (like a buy 9 and tenth is free) which they discontinued and wouldn't honor. Overall not a bad place but I didn't find anything outstanding. The two different flatbreads my friend and I ordered were awesome but the service was just okay. We sat in the bar area and the servers seemed distracted/ out of it the entire time we were there. We had to repeat every part of our order with the guy that took our order every time he stopped by the table- he forgot that my friend even ordered food (but he did come back to double check after he put my order in so I guess that was good). Just overall it was a weird dining experience- good food but bad service. I got the spicy marinara on my pizza because they are called 'spicy pie' but I honestly could not taste any spice or heat. The wings were okay... way too saucy, about a inch of sauce left over. Good drink choices and employees were friendly. read more

I've ordered pick up twice now. The first time was a few months ago and it wasn't the best. Ordered online today and the pizzas were really good! We got a Not so Skinny Vinny and half Chicken Bacon Ranch/ 3 pepper. I do think the price could be a little lower but I will still order from here again. The customer service was great! Well I would have to say Spicy Pie serves its purpose. Don't expect a home made Chicago or NYC Pie, but it's not a bad place. The full bar is great and it has inside and outside seating. read more

We have been going to Spicy Pie for about six years. We like to be able to order a slice with the ingredients we like. We bring the kids; can get what they want and what we like as well as a beer with dinner. Food and service has always been ok. Unfortunately over the last few months this place has lost its quality and service. Last night we decided to bring the kids for a slice at 6pm. We walked in and found they had live music. ( Thursday Night) The singer / guitar player was ok however it was so loud we couldn't even have a conversation. The place was very busy with the usual families and a few people in the bar. It was so loud and strange to have live music at family dinner time. On top of the annoying loud music our Pizza was not cooked all the way and was soggy something we are not used to. Four slices came out two at a time so we all didn't have our food at the same time. We ordered Bread bites with our Pizza and they didn't arrive until we were done eating. I saw the delivery person running in and out of the front door to the kitchen and wondered how they can handle carry out when the cant handle the dinning room customers. We asked for a to go box for the bread bites and the server said ok left and got the to go box. No I'm sorry or any explanation of why they were late. Last night this place was a train wreck. The cashier was also the bar tender. It was busy so everyone had to wait to be served in the bar. They had no obvious wait staff or dining room service people. The dining room was dirty. ( we cleaned our own table before sitting down ) they had a dust mop stored in view of customers near the coke Fountain. Overall it was run down looking and dirty. Add the loud annoying inappropriately timed live music and it all added up to a disaster. So my question is who's running this place? What are you trying to be? A bar with live music? A family establishment? A good in dining experience or a carry out pizza service? Overall your doing none of that very well. I think it's time you looked at your business plan .... as far recommending this place. Forget about that. I won't be back. Stay away! read more

Don't normally have issues but today was terrible at Spicy Pie! We ordered a whole pie and asked for it extra sauce and well-done. It took 40 minutes and it came out underdone. We asked if it normally takes this long but they gave us the excuse that they got behind on the pizzas they normally pump out and have ready to order. Mind you we were 2 of 6 people in the restaurant. We also watched people walk in after us and walk out with pizza before us. We asked for it to go back in the oven and finally got our pie 50 minutes after we ordered it. Not a fan of excuses! read more

The customer service is seriously lacking and the tostada is definitely NOT a tostada...it's a flat hard shell with cheese melted on top of it (no beans, lettuce, etc). I doubt I'll return to the Spicy Pie. read more

Coming from New York, I was nervous to try the pizza here... Usually the pizzas out of state don't match up. But, the pizza here is great!!! The slices are a nice size, the crust is good, and the sauce is good, too! The service and atmosphere here is great, as well! read more

Pizza is fine. My overall complaint is that during a break from school, I have an hour to grab food. I go there to get two slices to go (cheese and pepperoni), I get them and drive back to school. I get to my classroom and see that they are both bacon and olive. Well I can't eat this (I'm allergic to olives) and I didn't order this anyways. I call back and he immediately recognized the mistake and promised to mail a voucher for two free slices. OK, problem solved and I'm happy with it. Five months later I still haven't received the coupons. The manager assured me on the phone he would mail me the coupons, I never got them. Therefore, I won't be back. read more

Let me begin with this: My boyfriend and I do not usually go out to eat - we are often disappointed, only because I know how to cook and can make great food at home. We took a chance tonight and went to Spicy Pie, because hey, our daughter is at a sleepover and we finally get a night to ourselves! We heard mixed reviews, but we always like to give a chance to anyone and everything. WE LOVED IT. As soon as we walked in, everyone had a smile on their face. The bartender, Frankie, was a peach - I say that because she is originally from Georgia, hehe ;) Very friendly and fun to talk to! Ok, ok, I will get to the food. We ordered the Smorgasbord and some Garlic Knots. The Garlic Knots were spectacular, with the perfect amount of garlic, parmesan and oregano. The marinara they came with was not heavy and sugary, like most pizza places - it was fresh, light, and complimented the knots perfectly. The Smorgasbord is like a sampler of all the greats. It comes as an 18" pizza, with 6 huge slices - one each of BBQ Chicken, Buffalo Chicken, Spicy Hawaiian, THEE Spicy Pie, Margherita and the Pizza of the Month (Sept is breakfast pizza). Every single one was amazing. The chicken they use is dark and white meat (most places only do white, which lacks flavor IMO). My overall favorite (which was extremely hard to pick one) was THEE Spicy Pie. If you like heat, you'll absolutely love it. It has ghost pepper cheese, but it's not overpowering like I thought it would be. Perfection. You could taste every single ingredient in all of the pizzas. When you can do that, you KNOW they know what they're doing And they are doing it right. To end this extremely long post, I would just like to thank all of you working this afternoon. Thank you for making our night out special, and for putting up with my boyfriend who kept going over to the kitchen and thanking you for everything you do (multiple times lol). Had the BBQ flat bread pizza. Really just mediocre. Lacking flavor on the pizza. Table tops are custom and pretty neat. There is a separate section for the bar. Nice outdoor section with a fireplace, mini pool, and corn hole. read more

The bartender is attempting to be more than a bartender(maybe they should hire two of them???)also if she didint complain how hard she is working and do the work, maybe then I would be happy. anyways as I order I wait for my pizza, my drink never gets refilled in the 30min wait for my food. It is a pretty decent looking place but just need more people to assist the customers. Why are we watching tv shows in tv when you can't hear a word? How bout some sports or some tv program that no volume is required. Was not impressed with the service at all. Tried a slice of Spicy Hawaiian and bartender "Richard" recommend the Chicken Bacon Ranch with the Spicy sauce. The pizza was great and the wings could have been a little more crispy. Up until recently, Spicy Pie has been one of my favorite restaurants in Minot because of its quick and delicious pizza. However, the past few visits have been absolutely terrible. We've waited over an hour just to get two slices of pizza and have had orders that never came out. I understand that there are also people ordering online, but people who ordered 4 slices after us and were getting their food first. When our food did come out, it came out 30 minutes apart and the pizza toppings were sparse. One pizza slice had an 1/8 of the amount of sauce it normally should. Apparently they had "lost my ticket," although I'm not sure how you do that. When the garlic knots finally came out (with the amount of time it took for them to bring them out, you'd think they would be making them from scratch and waiting for dough to rise. But alas, they're pre-made. Just have to put them in the oven) they were burnt. I'm not one to complain ever, but at some point, I will, and now is that time. Poor quality server, and unfortunately, getting to be poor quality pizza. read more

Great if you are in a hurry and need a slice of pizza. Satisfies the kids' pizza craving, not so much the adults. A pepperoni slice has 1 maybe 2 pepperonis on top of a bland slice. This was our first experience here and we were a little hesitant given some of the reviews. First off, the atmosphere is great if you like a place that has taken a little time to make it somewhat unique. There is a full service bar with some craft beer and draft beer, which I value. We were impressed with the pizza, it was very good, especially if you enjoy NY style pizza with a thinner crust. The service was average to good. No complaints in that department. Every night from 7-11 PM they offer a free one topping 18" pizza with the order of a $12 pitcher of beer. Pretty crazy if you ask me. I definitely plan to return. read more
