I have been going to this Drive In since I was 11 years I am 62 now , fishing with my dad I grew up in Washington State Tacoma area, we used to run guided White water trips on the Cispus river in the later years, and of course the Snowboarding trips to White pass as I got older, always a favorite stop for food and good company even though it has changed a few management hands in the past it has remained true to its spirt and history vibe to the Pacific Northwest. After a day exploring the beauty of Mount Rainier, we stumbled upon Spiffy's in Morton--and it was just the kind of stop we didn't know we needed. With its weathered sign and old-school charm, Spiffy's has the kind of roadside appeal that makes you hit the brakes. The Spiffy Burger lives up to its reputation-- flavorful, and satisfying. The chicken tenders portion was large were a hit with the kids. Both boys tried the Cherry Coke shake of the month and expressed how good It was. Though it has a rustic look, don't let appearances fool you. The food is good, the prices are more than fair, and the staff is as friendly and welcoming as you could hope for. There's a reason this place draws in locals, travelers, and nearby workers alike. Stopped by here for milkshakes and burgers after a whole day spent hiking mt st Helen's. The buns were delicious, malt milkshakes were excellent, and burgers were HUGE. The only con was the wait was a little too long but i think we just had bad timing (the people who came after us ate, finished their food, and left before we got ours). Staff were kind and apologized for the long wait. The inside dining area was decorated very cute with local scenery. Worth the stop for some solid bites! read more

The cheeseburgers were good. The service was friendly but they closed the dining room before 8 pm, which is what the sign says. We were here before 8. We ate outside and the weather was nice. My wife says the hamburger needed seasoning. My son enjoyed his bacon burger greatly. The cost of $66 for a family of four is too high even with today's prices. read more

This was such a great experience at this small burger joint! Came in at 7:30pm the night before and was told dine in closes at 8:00pm due to labor laws so we left and stopped in today. The burger was nice and not too greasy! Fries could be salted, but there are basic condiments on the tables to serve yourself! Friendly service behind the counter! So as she noticed I was looking at the breakfast she mentioned breakfast is all done but they do have biscuits and gravy all day. So I got the biscuits and gravy. Our family stopped in for a quick bite and were shocked at how rude the gal working the counter was. I asked basic questions about the food, sizes, etc and she acted like I was an idiot for asking. She was impatient and condescending. My wife and I discovered Spiffy's 3 years ago on the way to a camping trip nearby. We go camping 3-4 times a year at Elkamp nearby and now make sure we stop at Spiffy's for their great burgers and fries. We split the Jubilee Basket which is a big cheeseburger , and crinkle fries . Most popular item ordered off the menu board according to the young lady running the register, you guessed it "the spiffy" that a jubilee with double meat, as tempted as I was I chose the jubilee a single burger on a smashed toasted bun, lettuce, tomato, onion and the best darn pickles with cheese and a side of tots (definitely from a box and it's doubtful they were Ore-Ida) This place is old and dated so you know it's impossible to properly clean - but hot grease and a hot flat top will kill just about anything and a well seasoned grill adds flavor they say. I knew this was probably one of my last opportunities to grab something to eat before entering the National Park so my expectations weren't very high, so they somewhat exceeded them. There is a myth that these old drive-in's are nostalgic- I admit the sign is cool but the place is in shambles but it's oblivious the staff here works hard to make it work, there nothing here that a bottle of Mr. Clean and a few gallons of paint can't fix. Ended up getting the burger basket, came with fries. You can upgrade to tater tots for .50cents extra. We stayed in Morton for two nights on our visit to Mt. Rainier and Mount St. Helens, our hotel was literally right across the street from Spiffy. Coming from Miami, where these kinds of old diners have pretty much been torn down and replaced with new structures, we were very excited about the opportunity to experience such an authentic slice of America's culture. We sat outdoors on a gorgeous August evening, and enjoyed a classic cheeseburger and fries meal. The location of this diner is simply priceless, the open air feel, the vastness that surrounded us, the crisp cool weather, all contributed to a magical existence to all of our senses. A nice easy stop for a quick burger. The prices are fair and it tasted good. I would have liked to see a kids hotdog with fries option, but maybe i read the menu wrong. We ordered an extra basket, and wound up with more fries than we could imagine. The clerk taking the orders explained that basket come with fries, dinners come with coke slaw... someone forgot the coke slaw amid the handful of fries. It was getting late for dinner on a trip from Eastern WA to Western WA and I remembered this burger place. My daughter and I stopped as we were both hungry. We ordered and we got our burgers within 10 minutes so as they are made fresh, I was impressed. They also have about the cleanest restroom of any restaurant I have ever seen. Little pull up old school diner! Everyone that passes through Morton should stop here! They have great window service and we have been here multiple times, super friendly and really fast. we love sitting outside during the summer! The food has great portion sizes and if you like huge try to big ol basket.. it's like 2 lbs of food. If you want big but not "huge" we recommend the spiffy basket! The tots are much better than the fries and they have great fry sauce! If you want a normal size meal the chicken sandwich is decent and the taco salad is actually really good! This place is great for the kids too and they even let us tie our dog to the picnic table! So family friendly! One last thing.. they are known for their milkshakes... trust me when I say you need to have one ( the blackberry is amazing) and the soft serve cones are hugeee!
